NYJC 30th anni!

Am damn tired.. shall just do a short one...

Been doing the jacky chan flyers thing for the last 2 days (thurs and fri)... Erm... i would just say that i might not do it for long.. haha! Reason is very simple... actually not one but a few lah.. just that the main one is.. i realise i cannot stand for too long... the ache problem is coming back... then the secondary reason is that it's really rather boring cos i'm doing solely on my own... so sianx lor. haha! Anyway i'm just using my freetime with a little more worth.. so ya.. we'll see..

Went back to nyjc today for its 30th anniversary... can see that it's really a big big event... just look at the amount of money the school spent.. and well... i didn't even spent a cent there and still get good experience and stuff... A 153-page commemoration booklet...A CD-rom with good quality cover... and good food... free games (which i didn't play at all)... and performance and whatever. stayed till ard 8 and left with deshun... cos dunno where jon lau gone to... and ken was still talking to a tutor although he kept saying that he's going off.. haha.. then saw jiewan on the way out.. and we chatted be4 parting to home...

Met a lot of 'long-lost' friends... Jiewan one of them... haven't seen her for quite a long time le... was the last time the rss gathering last year?! OMG! more than a year!! Let's have one in June? my birthday coming! haha~! Oh... my classmates i saw.. only 3... shizhen, fangyu and weiwu... after the performance.. weiwu was already nowhere to be found... spoke to shizhen for a while.. she was with her SC friends... and met fangyu when she just reached and when she's leaving... :) Er.. why so few huh? haha! Then still got... Xiangming and Ruijie lor.. they so funny.. esp. ruijie lah.. with the mickey mouse pullover.. what is he thinking? lol. then... a few other acquaintances lor... haha.. spoken to a few teachers as well... erm... that's all ba... sounds boring right.. cos i dun have many friends who went.. Oh.. and andrew as well... providing some sound system for the dedication booth... haha! And i heard he opening 2nd company! like 'WAH'... yes.. he's really capable... even thou he just enlisted not long ago.. haha!

Realised that quite a no. of tutors are not teaching in NY anymore.... including PPP.. erm... some will understand who i'm talking abt lah... haha... then.. ms avril tay, ms yue, mr tong, my neighbour, and a few more lah... can't rmb le... hmm.. a waste or a celebration? hard to say.. haha! but for someone.. i guess the ans is clear.. right?

Whatever it is... Quite a good day at ny lah... so still.. Happy 30th Anniversary/Birthday to Nanyang JC! :)

Ok.. i think that's all... one more day at novena tmr... found a new way to go there.. by bus i mean... must make full use lah! lol.. Nitex! :)

Shall just update be4 i go and watch my show starting at 12.50a.m. Heex. And i think after that got to sleep liao..

First thing... let me thank caiwen for helping me ask for the job... i'm really grateful and thus will be working for cali fitness to distribute flyers be4 i find a decent part-time job.. :) But then.. so sad no one replied to my email yet leh! Why!!! Aiya.. will i end up having no job this hol again? cos the cali fitness one... to be truthful is really very little.. i think i'm spoilt by samsonite. haha! But then again.. since i'm doing it.. i wun complain also lah... at least i have some income to support myself... SO meanwhile... try finding me on the streets of orchard, dhoby ghaut, novena or raffles. lol.

Then.. Thanks to caiwen.. again.. for bringing me to amk hub.. where i bought 2 pieces of clothing.. but nice lah! She bought more than me. haha!!! Erm... good time shopping! (thou the place isn't very big)

Today.... felt quite accomplished although it could be better... if not for me feeling tired in the afternoon.. i could have practised for a longer period... but i only practised a while and i went for a nap... =P Anyway... i was alone for SY sectionals today... cos the 3 of them... all nv come lah.. at least i was notified be4 hand.. haha... So actually thanks to them who didn't make it to sectionals... i had the chance to let laoshi hear and correct my jiang nan... :))) We actually went thru all the 4 combine songs within one and half hour... and then rest a while and he taught me jiang nan! :))) Happy! got time have to practise! But then aiya.. nv record down the session.. if not i will benefit more.. cos i always tend to forget what he said.. =x too bad.. lai bu ji record.. when i finally thought of it.. it was nearing the end liao.. pengx. Hopefully next week he can listen to me again for one more time.. Thanks gaohu mates. Heex. And of cos thanks laoshi!! For teaching me... pointing out my mistakes... and praising my erhu (not me).. haha!!

clearing up. hk camp. jobs.

To the respondents to my last entry.. thanks all.. felt so loved! :) But anyway.. my FRIEND had already talked to me.. and i guess it was just the fit of the moment ba.. but of cos everyone has his/her own reason and rights to feel how they felt... so i have nothing against it lah... just that this time i wasn't so calm to keep my words... i was nv that blunt. what happened? haha.

Then... just as i thought i will have nothing to do.. i shall practise my erhu everyday! Haha!! Just to do a good audio recording for the HK music camp. :))) And decided on the song liao.. but ytd msg laoshi on msn.. nv reply and went offline liao!! dotx... shall ask him again... at least have to listen to me play and give comments right.. Ok lah... But well.. it's more or less confirm liao! Yeah... it's HK twice this hols.. and just nice the last day of the camp falls on the first day of my school... so hopefully that very day dun have lessons.. i.e. no lessons on monday! haha. i like. aiya.. i say only lah. haha.

Anyway!! I'm looking for a holiday job.. maybe i do need an office job instead of retail and running ard... last time was cos Samsonite is flexible cos i get to choose... and i always work morning shift.. but now... Samsonite got too many ppl!!! Haix. thanks to my mum... for introducing my cousin to work there.. in turn my cousin's cousins also went to work.. and there are really a lot of part-timers... so i have no chance at all lah... sianx. At least this one and half week cos of the HK trip... and i really want to watch jc syf... so ya lor.. cannot lah! =P And i saw one that is a one week assignment.. so i'm going to go for that lor. :)) wish me luck.

Erm.. what can i say.. i dunno why am i so bothered about the words.. but i'm just bothered lah... the moment i came back and saw those words on the msn nick.. immediately i knew they were reply to my tag... and something not nice. at least to me even if it didn't mean what i thuoght. and so i went to confirm at the blog and true enough it's for me. and i just felt something sharp poking into my heart... pain. real pain. i seriously thought that we are friends instead of just classmates. but maybe... some times i can be wrong. haix... looks like i'm not as strong as i thought and as others thought... At least i have the courage and courtesy to put my name there lah... i mean someone just put 'Someone' lah... so well.. thanks for making feel worse.

I am sad.. for these words.. "me>wanying: yes dats the extent fyi. if u don like it, u can always make a new one and maintain it urself." added to the msn nick was... "i'm sure u do a great job" Really.. saying that.. i've slapped myself with my words was the only phrase i could think of...

Saturday of COs.

Went back to nyco to see see and listen... and then went off to hougang to help out for the sco's outdoor concert..

Erm.. i could only say... nyco needs to put in a lot more effort... i mean seriously... it seems like everyone is still not into the situation yet... maybe they just didn't take it as heavy as we did... although i didn't cry when we got the results doesn't mean i'm not sad. it's just that... when we performed... i already knew that we have no chance.. but.. this time... they were like already beaten even be4 going. hmm... THEY NEED MORE PRACTICES. Haha! Jon lau and siuhon went too... then just be4 i left.. they were making fun of me lah! Bish! u 2... gei wo ji zhu!

Anyway.. the help-out.. ok ba.. but legs were damn tired.. cos no chair lor.. And really busy lor.. cos only me and sylvia for strings... so 2 of us had 4 instrus to take care... and practically there's not enough hands and mouth and ears and eyes to do it... Anyway... erhu seems to be the most difficult to teach on the spot as compared to other instrus... cos holding the bow is already a big prob. but whatever it is... it's over. and thanks to laoshi who drove us back to bedok SAFELY. haha. i think via, jojo and minhui will understand why i said that. haha.

Hmm.. i guess i need to start practising my erhu already... for the audition? haha... will i even be allowed to go anot... Hopefully yes. Heex. :) Haven't decide on the song yet.. so have to try out a few to find the 'feel' first. haha. erm... perhaps tmr.. or mon lor.. If not also no time liao. who ask me nv practise regularly?! =x

Last day of school! :)

Finally i can sit down and blog... actually i'm extremely tired lah... cos i napped just now lor... if i were on my own bed... i think it will be all the way to morning lah... cos ytd only slep for 1h20min... DOTX.

I din even do that when i was preparing for A/O levels lah... haha.. then because of my assignment i stayed up till so late/early... And yet... the last last proj.. was only completed at 3.58pm this afternoon.. damn shag.... WAH!!!! think i'll have to sleep early tonight... if not sure sick... so now right.. just left with the last assignment! YEAH! Which is the website design... err... not very sure how to do it... cos that time use laptop dun have one of the softwares then cannot cont... dotx. need a little more time to explore the software.. haha...

Anyway... this week is really hectic with very very little sleep except for wed night cos i really cannot tahan after the very long day of school and sy sectionals with only less than 4h of sleep the night be4 that... Hmm... i have to plan my time more wisely huh.. but this type of things.. Erm... very hard right.. haha!

Anyway.. holidays from now till August 6!!! :))) Happy happy... although not very happy cos i dun have a holiday job!!! Damn... How ah? no $ to spend!! Err.. anyone got job recommendation anot? haha!! haix.. hopefully i wun slack like last holidays... I really want to do something lah... Ah!! Anyway... go off liao lah.. Tired...

Oh.. before i forget.. Today is Jon's bday... So Happy Birthday lah! Er... if he ever sees this lor. haha! All the best to what he doing... and hope he is able to change his course also.. haha! Oh ya... wish his successful in becoming lesser no. of bernards. haha. if u know what i mean. =P

300th Post - Casual Classical

Woohoo!!! 300th post of this blog!! I took like 2 years to get 300 posts lah.. haha!! But still... it's an achievement.. haha!

Ok... so along with this special entry... i would like to compliment the SCO concert today! It's really like a new thing to us... at least to me. The first time i see SCO in this manner... Title of the concert is Casual Classical... Hosted by Mr. Dick Lee! I really have no regrets going to this particular concert... it's so much fun and interaction... and able to hear/see him sing LIVE! And of cos.. not forgeting Maestro Tsung Yeh singing and piano-ing too! Wow wow wow... so much a spectacular sight.. :))) Dick Lee performed his classic Fried Rice Paradise which i think is really entertaining... Not forgetting his encore piece.. 'Zui', originally sang by Leslie Cheung.. HAPPY! Just that... why he didn't appear at the autograph?! If not i will sure queue to get it! Perhaps cos he's a public figure... Anyway... He's just so cool for the night lah! But he can be quite mean with his words too yea.. haha... just that i guess no one takes it too hard. :)

Overall.. an enjoyable evening at the SCH! Love it~! There's still one more show tmr (15Apr,Sun) afternoon at 5pm! So catch it if you do not want to miss the talents!! And of cos.. stand a chance to win the 4 N-Series (N70/73) Nokia phones.. dunno which.. but quite exciting. although we didn't win lah. haha!

Haha... sounds like an escape from reality.... and now i'm back.. and start worrying abt my assignments... esp. the essays... anyway.. sleep is more impt for now. =P NItex!

School work again...

Oh yea... as promised... finished M&M ppt slides on my part~! i think i spent quite a lot of time cos practically i'm not familiar with everything... dunno if i categorised correctly... so i research and research again to make sure that whatever i put in is correct. So ta-da! Grp leader say it's done! :))) Then i tried to put pictures in.. but super super ugly... so i sent to her w/o any pictures lah... =x

But today isn't that accomplished.. cos faced a lot of problems while trying to do the technical rider thing... feeling quite frustrated cos nobody has the ans to the qns... Sianx. So after a few hours... only a few lines came out and i'm already doubting if they are even correct. Err... Shall put all my soul into it tmr~!

Plus bad thing i forgot to send out the survey this noon be4 i went out cos mother was playing after lunch... SO i wasted the time lah... hopefully by night tmr i'm able to choke up the numbers... So friends if u received my email.. pls pls pls help me fill in and send back to me by 10pm on sun! Thank you very very much!

School work..

The last 2 days seems long... i dunno why.. i think i'm still very lost in this whole thing... and well well well... i'm not doing much on my self-discipline... But thanks to caiwen... i have the chance to do my work tmr with a grp of ppl and i think i ought to do some preparation be4 i go...

Anyway... i admire myself for the fact that i still can set aside time for my leisure... i.e. to watch tv/do some CO stuff... like going to watch a concert tmr evening!? But i sure do not want to miss it.. cos it's Dick Lee... if u see the front page of my blog.. it's quite understandable right... i've always admire his works... :)

Anyway... after the long long day in school today... felt so tired but still... i just have to complete my M&M slides today... which i will do after i finish blogging... If not i guess i'll nv do it proper... Just that... i'm so unfamiliar abt this whole subject sometimes i really dunno where to start... i hope daphne is doing all right on her part.. cos we are sort of on the same boat... Jiayou ba classmates... after this we'll have night safari and the chalet to enjoy! :)

Erm... last thing... i actually do hope that i can go to the hk camp this year since laoshi already put my name... i was a bit relunctant at first cos i've always doubt my skills for some reason.. but... i should becos it's really a good chance.. and so... i'm starting to wish that i can really be selected.. :) Wish me good luck. heex. So i should start to polish up my skills also lah... =x

9 more days...

Haix.. as much as i would like to start on something... i have no idea where to start on... And everything i want to start on.. there ought to be some difficulties... dotx... maybe my research skills really suck... and so resulting in very little results from all the researching.. sighx... how? or should i ask my classmates to share info... sianx.. but thanks that thru my conversation with one of my classmates today... kinda get a bit of hint for tech theatre... but then i like tried to find and found nothing much... so i have to do more comparison...

Hopefully things can be done according to plans... that is if we do follow and everyone cooperates... for grp work lah.. and for myself... i'm able to start driving myself towards all the finishing of the works... well.. at least i started on something.! haha.

Good Luck to myself for the next 9 days! Like 2 projects and 2 individual assignments and 1 Website to design... in 9 days!? And Karen is right... i still can go on with all the SY stuff... i'm not bad huh... but i guess that's a form of relaxation from serious work too... at least i started research and everything since i got back from prac today...! :) But if next week gets too hectic... then forget abt sy practices ba... that's why i hope that i will really finish my work so that i can still turn up for prac.. Ok! Jiayou!!

Hopefully i can wake up in the morning for a run be4 continuing with my research cos my brain already stop functioning at this time and after looking at so many webpages.. my eyes are like super tired... HAIX! Tmr will be a better day... Believe in that! :)

Anyways~!!! TOday is Dear Sylvia's birthday! So Happy Birthday Girl!!! :))) I hope that this year will be a better one for u! My 2cents worth advice: Dun let the unhappy happenings make u forget abt the happy happenings! :) I hope that this year u will not grumble as much to me! HAha! All the Best!

Sometimes i do feel that i'm very good at hiding my feelings... not that i'm very sad now lah... but of cos there are things that were never said... even to my closest ones... I typed this super long paragraph... but in the end i decided to not let it be known... cos i dun even know if it's correct to do that... haix... in the first place i shouldn't even barge into her private life... but if only she could tell me more abt what happened... But then nvm... i've already thought through everything... and i'm not going to worry and think abt it anymore... cos after all.. it's her own life that she's living... although i hope that she could spare a little more thought for this family... :)

Anyway.. today is supposed to be a happy day! :))) Met up with the dearests!!! (although not all of them turned up)... and although not all experience was good... we've tried to make everything better... And hopefully everyone is happy like me! Heex. Even if u all are not.. Thanks for making my day! :))) Still think that this grp of ppl are the best i've ever met! Yeah.. see how much i love u all... No matter where and when... i still enjoy and treasure our times tgt! heex. Lastly.. Thank you weiling for buying back such lovely gifts from ur taiwan trip.. i really like them a lot.. be sure i will get something nice back from hk in may too.. :))

Another thing that made me happy today perhaps... i finally practised gaohu at home after so long... cos monday is combine with Maestro Yeh.. cannot play play.. and there's only so few ppl in that constrain space... so really have to buck up.. esp. after sectionals on wed... played so so badly.. and i think laoshi wasn't exactly pleased with our performance... luckily he didn't nag at us when he sent us back to bedok.. so must pia at least a bit lah.. tmr still can lian! :)

That's all ba.. hopefully i can wake up early tmr morning to do some exercise... haven't been doing much lately.. and have been giving myself too much excuses.. heex.

Anyway.. today is Kenneth's 21st birthday and ytd was Edwin's 20th! So Happt Birthday to both of them!!! Hoping for the best for the both of them! :)))

SYF 2007 - Day 2 & 3

Hmm... i can only say that 2nd and 3rd day are better than the first!!! And i sat thru the whole of day 2... and unfortunately missed RV's on day 3... cos they were the first grp... and i was late.. damn... Then i realised that i always miss RV's one... 6yrs ago they were in front of us so we didn't really get to hear... 4yrs ago when we reach there their turn was already over... 2 yrs ago i didn't go... and this year.. missed again... fated! haha.

Anyways.. just a summary of this year's results... there wasn't any COP given... maybe they were more lenient... maybe they really feel that the schools were not that bad... or maybe they weren't encouraged to give COP... so those that i think were very lousy were all awarded bronze... so out of 57 schools that took part... there were 13 Bronzes... which i think as compared to past years.. it's much less lah.. so a good thing i guess... 23 Silvers... quite a large no.. And SAC is one of them... err... not much comment... it's just true that they weren't as good as other schools... although i didn't think that all the schools that got gold were up to the standard either... And then 16 Golds... and lastly 5 Gold with Honours... Gold schools are ACS(Barker), AHS, BDS, Zhonghua, NgeeAnn, Mayflower, RGS, CCHS Yishun, Temasek, Marsiling, CCHSM, VS, St. Nicholas, Woodgrove, RI and HCI. (in order of appearance during the comp).. and Gold with Honours goes to DHS, Cat High, NYGH, RV and Pasir Ris... Some were really surprises as i feel that they didn't really performed well.. from my perspective lah.. so i dunno.. my ears aren't as good as the judges'... haha.

Of all i watched/listened... i think mr low's schools really did well... esp. when the last time i heard them i was shaking my head... rgs was good also... cchs yishun's chang cheng was rather impressive.. cchsm's qin bing was good too... and st. nics was good! Esp. their choice piece... the suonas were super zai lah... for a girls' school to say.. and i was impressed by BDS' performance that day as well... :) And this year the good thing is.. there's a lot of interesting songs that i've never heard be4... thou there were some super boring ones and some not up-to-sec-sch-level songs... But mostly were seldom heard... =)

Hopefully JC's will be even nicer! haha!!! Looking forward to it on 10may. :)))

SYF - Day 1

Hmm.... my laziness didn't want me to wake up early this morning... luckily i wasn't meeting anyone... i woke up at 8.40 instead of the originally planned 7.40am to catch today's SYF... BUT.. luckily i managed to catch DHS ba... and quite like their song... er... dun ask me what title... can't rmb.. got something to do with qu yuan(again).. haha.

Anyway... i left for project meeting... to print the stuff for press kit... and i turned out to be the earliest? haha. so anyway michelle, sandra and i made our way to sunshine plaza from dhoby ghaut while andy went there straight from i-dunno-where... and caiwen didn't turn up at all.. so i think we used a whole hour to be done with that.. then i left liao... while they proceeded to do the studio work...

Err.. back to SYF... well well well.. i could only say that today's results are a bit surprising... i dunno the judges are trying to encourage the students and the conductors or what... personally i felt that some schools dun really deserve what they got.. esp. a few bronzes... Anyway.. aftn session was quite boring cos most of the not-so-good COs of the day was from this section... but morning was interesting... 5 schools consecutively got Gold/Gold with Honour... including ACS(Barker), AHS, DHS(GwH), BDS, and Zhonghua... then the others are NASS, Cat High(GwH) and Mayflower. Frankly speaking... actually the standard did improve quite a lot... like mayflower.. they improved from a COP in 2001 to a Gold now... and ACS and Cat High also.. So sometimes i think a change in conductor really helps... so when is SAC going to change conductor?? Haix... sac is probably the only school that still stay where it was.. well.. i hope i'm wrong... but that's the impression they gave me even thou i haven't really heard them yet..

Anyway... being at SCH watching syf sent a lot of memories of syf back to me... be it in SCH or not... it reminds me of what happened in syf2003... i guess the most unforgetable syf in my life... it is the year that so so many things happened... i rmb everything.. good or bad.. rmb myself as someone so foolish... cried cos i was so worried for someone else who got silver.. cried cos we got gold... haha.. how foolish.. esp. when zhongming brought it up that the sacians were shouting and crying like crazy when the person announced we got gold... lol. of cos i rmb that lah.. the whole hall have to wait for us to stop.. lol. But other than that.. i rmb every other SYF i went to lah..! maybe except for the primary school one.. haha! :))

Enough for the glamorous stuff.. haha! if anyone is interested.. can refer back to my old blog.. under archives.. somewhere july 2003.. the title comes with SYF blah blah.. heex!
