CNY Part 2

ERm... almost a week nv blog le.. Heex. Been busy? I think so.. at least it was so during cny hols and the weekends... And of cos.. schooling lah... dun say i nv study!! Haha.

So.. still in the cny mood... shall blog abt some cny stuff lor.. Went to quite a few friends' place this year ba.. kim, chek, horng and huiyan... not forgeting laoshi's house also... and travelled to some very extreme places lah... haha! erm.. all in a day... like 3rd day... bedok to kallang (laoshi), then to Serangoon (kim), then to toa payoh (chek).. then to Sembawang!! (qi shu-7th uncle), then back to the east - Simei (horng).. I enjoyed the day thou it was really tiring at the end of the day... all the travelling.. esp. to and fro sembawang... journey is really looong... But good thing was... my luck for that day was quite good... first i got some won some cab fare during ban lat... and boarded a limo to sembawang.. haha.. and won some during mahjong too. heex.

After the first 3 days of cny... the next 3 were spent in school... not literally... got lessons lah.. but attendance was real bad... esp. for fri morning.. like real bad... cos i was sitting at 2nd row?! haha! i haven't been sitting in front since the starting of the sem.. But everything was all right lah.. more contact with classmates during breaks thou.. which is something to be happy abt. :)

Sat was fun too... thou the morning was kinda wasted.. cos didn't really do much at mco... only practised for a while lor... like 1+h... sianx... nusco prac was ok... Tea was rather dun... had yusheng~ And i shouted.. 'Huat ah'! Lol.. Anyway prac ended like super early... so we made our way down to san-yi's house...~ Oh... another yusheng... maybe that explains the winnings at mahjong later.. thou it wasn't a lot... but it's a sense of achievement~ :) Cos i kept winning when i zhuang (banker) and we played 4rounds in 3h!! super kua zhang lah... Haha! And only to win 5bucks in the end. lol.

Sun... another eventful day... uncle yeo's house was the best... should've stayed longer.. might have win more from ban lat.. dad provided me with 10$ based... won quite a sum when mum was banker cos we ban lat! And the rest of the winnings went to mummy when i left... and today i heard that daddy won like over 50$ by playing in-between.. how interesting! i nv knew they know to play that~ i mean i like only knew what it is last new year lah.. haha.!

So... this week i'm on a one-week mid term hols... Still got to do some project anyways... time is really rushing hard on us... for Technical theatre we are the first grp to present.. and other than the site recce... we haven't had anything else done yet... perhaps uni life is just like that... so have to pia lah... as well as for the business proposal too... i think we are way behind time also.. sighx... but i'm sure we will finish all be4 time or at least on time. :) So hopefully after so so many projects this sem.. there will not be any written exams so that we can have a longer break! :))

Oh btw... my house is open for visitors on wed (28/2)... from noon onwards... so express ur interest to come now... haha! ask me for more details ba. :)

CNY Part 1 (only)

Oh... that was supposed to be a new year post but i accidentally made it into something else.. =P Anyway... obviously it's new year now lah! haha! So it's all the visiting and stuff with the family again. Finally the family got tgt...

And i've noticed some traits... Firstly.. i dunno why but i clicked better with the maternal cousins... maybe cos of the age difference? as in more cousins were nearer to my age lah.. or maybe the language... we communicate more in chinese than in english.. which i'm able to articulate and express in better... at least we enjoyed even thou we travelled mostly in public transport for the whole day on the first day...

So it also means that i feel that i dun click well with the paternal side cousins... again.. i think it's the age... cos i'm one of the younger cousin... and most of them are like my sister's age? u see... we have 16 children in this generation including me.. the oldest is my eldest sis of cos who is already half past 30... and the youngest is like p6 this year... and i'm like the 12th from the top... wah! 2 of them were same same as my 2nd sis who is 5 years older... and another 3 has the same age of 3 years older than me too..~ That's like... totally off for me... cos when i'm in any particular phrase of my life... none of them has the same as me... so that leaves no topic to talk abt... erm.. am trying hard... and improving thou.. engaging in more conversations and for a longer period of time... So that's something i've accomplish this new year.. erm... at least a bit lah.. haha!

Then i noticed this thing abt my dad and his brothers and a sister... haha... they have this very similar way of speaking.. as in the pattern lah... and their reactions to certain topics... wow... Even they dun look alike at all... they were just so like brothers and sisters... haha! and my uncles are actually a very humourous lot...

Oh.. i'm so tired.. after the long day... another day to go... not with family for the whole day this time... ya.. get a life. =x Nitex.

Emo.. haha.

Hmm... i just read some past emails... and sometimes i just have to admit i'm such a temperamental person... i really have no idea how could i tear so easily.. even by just reading...~ esp. when i read what i sent to someone when we were in j2. It was like super dumb lah... cos after all when after we left sch.. we (or at least me) were better off lah... But be glad we are still friends... if not just let me die lah.. haha!

Then it was the surveys... some are just so funny... they made me rmb some stuff and made me realise how much they knew me also... haha.. Like eg. when is my bday or how many siblings i have or what colour are my eyes or do i believe in god or am i an outgoing or shy person... or whatever... but these are the qns that most ppl didn't exactly know... esp. for the eyes part... i actually have brown eyes instead of black... and of cos white colour lah... And to speak the truth... i'm NOT outgoing in front of everyone... unless i'm really familiar with u... at least i dun chat with my cousins the same way i did with my close friends...~ :)

A fast week!

The week has passed... and that was fast! hee... this week.... nothing much ba.. everything was more or less smooth for me at least... minus the very lousy sy combine... i meant i played lousily during the prac lah.... haha... and the pia-ing for design assignment... other than that no unhappy occasions... like of cos lah... there's only so few lessons this week can! Lol! Of which i skipped one.. and another super early release... cos lecturer was sick... haha.

Again... i appreciate all the times that i spent with my good friends and classmates... Who says valentine's day can't be great without guys...?! haha... i spent it with a few of the royalties... heex... :)) Kbox and dinner... just enough to bring the spirits up... thou was tired at the end of the day and still have things to accomplish.. i dun mind at all... :)) Thanks girls.. Somemore so qiao met via and ling on the train while going home... haha! so managed to chat for a while be4 i met my parents at bedok... alighting from the very same mrt and go home with them... So much a coincidence.. why not with my prince charming?! weird huh... haha! ok.. nvm abt that...

Hmm... actually my classmates are really fantastic... in every other way.. haha... after class was released super early ytd... a few of us got ourselves to esplanade for supper... and of cos make funny conversations with all the laughter... even thou there were only 6 ppl... the laughter was like... wow! and we left at the time class was supposed to end... i.e. 10pm... hmm... hopefully we have more chances to have all these... cos usually i dun take the same side as the rest of my classmates... i dunno what am i missing man...

Ok... think i gtg... actually i'm outside now.. at some mac using wireless... haha! i have a secret mission going on so can't reveal my location lah... haha! crap. ya... so update again when i get home or whatever... :)))

My busy life. haha.

Hmm... another busy week... Nowadays... Tues is like the only day i will dine at home... And sometimes i do miss having meals at home... i mean the food i will get... Nothing is better than mummy's home-cooked food.. really~

However... i enjoyed my last week... isn't is an irony..?! I mean... NY tutors visit and cakes and the scary sy prac at night on mon.. the new year grocery shopping on tues night... the ever more fun SY sectionals on wed night... erm... the not-so-fun but ok-lah design class on thurs night... and the royal family's outing on fri night.. Mco, Nusco on sat... and er-jiu's house today..~

I truly enjoy moments with my friends... on fri... part of the royal family turned up... han, kim, von, yuhui, wanlin, jiale and me... had steamboat at terrence cao's shop... And he was right there in the shop... didn't take any photo with him thou... it's quite good... cos it's air-conditioned.. haha! Ok.. the food is quite nice too.. thou a bit pricy based on the quantity... But the base soups are good...~!!! :)) Err... so the bill added up to $20 per pax... I might say it's not really worthed cos... i wasn't really full afterall... haha! But i'm a big eater sometimes... plus i didn't really had any main meals that day.. so ok lah...~! U all can give it a try..~ It's at Paradiz Centre B1.. right beside Tao's place... it's called Hey Hey Hotpot. :) And a cup of drink over at TCC after that... be4 taking a bus home..

Or even just sitting in mac for hours like on thurs... with sandra, weiye, daphne, khai and sofian who came later... it's really like just 3 hours at mac eat... surf net... talk and blah blah blah... just waiting for time to pass to get to the next lesson lor... but good for communicating with each other lah.. haha!

Sat... back to mco once again... not many ppl there... sianx... practising the 2 syf set pieces.. both the sec sch and jc one... for a music exchange prog btwn marsiling sec and woodgrove sec... and mco lah... so there we were... there early in the morning... and went nusco after that... i think that was the most boring prac i have ever went so far... esp. for the erhus... practically first half we were doing nothing at all...~ oh... except for the last 5 min be4 tea break... but at least after that got prac another song... if not really is wasted trip... anyway.. sis didn't go again cos she worked full day... so dinner with them at ke ai ji... haha.. all the laughings again... until i had to go home alone... by train. Anyway... only a few more practises to go...~

Hmm... nothing else le ba... Till then.. Ciaoz..~!

Randomly...

Omg... really cannot tahan liao... i searching for pictures for design proj... see till i want to fall asleep liao.... save me! But i'm in luck cos the deadline is pushed back one week. Heex. So cannot waste this week le... And i haven started on anything yet... Just the researching part... And i wanted so much to take the pictures on my own... but then... i dun drink coffee lah... sianx.

Anyway.... it has been a fruitful weekend... i've already mentioned what i did at SAM... so now i will say what i did at National Museum (NMS) on Sunday... I was there to volunteer for Red Dust.. it's a dance performance by taiwanese... And we get to watch the whole thing... I like the setting and the installations... when the audience walk into the hall... it already felt like we are in the performance cos they hung their drops all the way to the door... as later performers go in thru the front door also... but most of it was solo by Wu Wen Cui... 3 songs were also sang in the performance... using the lyrics but the tunes were much spiritual (buddhism) than the original (classic chinese/pop)... And there were a few on-the-spot things for her to do... take out the outer layer of clothe she was wearing while dancing/twirling... applying something onto her face and then wash off later... and there's more... But i think i didn't really understand the whole thing... what a pity...

Anyway... that sunday morning to aftn.. be4 i left for NMS.. i was at home helping to springclean the living room... what a chore... and today (tues)... i used ard 1 hour to pack last sem's stuff and put them away somewhere... so as to get away from mum's naggings... haha! But well.... finally they were done...

Oh... Mon at SY was.... i can say.. horrible!! The atmosphere was so so bad... and we were all so tensed up... esp. when Ku Laoshi kept on arrowing the strings... and made us all realised that there's no way we could escape from his powerful ears... it's already known... but it's made more obvious that day... the feeling is like one dun even dare to breathe... really scary... hopefully next week will be better..! Still... i enjoy sectionals more... haha! And there's sectionals tmr! Oh.. i haven't really looked at the Hai Shang Di Yi Ren score yet... =x

Been coming home quite late every night from last week... same for this week... except for today (tues) i didn't go out the whole day... until we went out after dinner to shop for new year food and blah blah... oh... dun worry i got all my favourites... and we are actually not done with it yet.. lol!

Meet the royal family this fri! Happy! haha! I think we really will have much to share this fri... cos we've got more news after going back to visit some tutors on mon with von and yuhui... i was late lah... so compensate with fruit juice to them... Haha... Oh.. surprisingly... Ms L Poh rmb me!! BUT unfortunately by my nickname... thanks to my classmates.. Really... Whatever~

This entry is rather unorganised hor... cos i just typed anything that came to my mind... in the first place... i can't really rmb much abt what happened... Haha... ok... i rmb i talked to melody on the phone for a long long long time after i reached home on mon after sy... it's really like less than 10 min after i stepped into the house.. cos i haven't got the chance to change out of my clothes and remove my contacts... until we hung up the phone... 2hrs past midnight... haha! i miss long talks on phone with friends... i used to do that a lot with a few friends in the past... but during the day lah... so if u all are free/have something to share/have no one to talk to/feel like talking to someone or whatever... pls... call me... i'll be so glad to talk to u..! :)))

Ok.. this is really random... hope dun get confused.. haha!

Arts Events!

Lately... i volunteered for the M1 Fringe Festival... And i must say that what i saw today at Singapore Art Museum (SAM)... was rather amazing..~

First was the performance art by this artist - Tim Jeeves with his work: 'Should i be in my bodi'.. he was a cancer patient... or rather... still is a cancer patient... he had all his thought written (printed) out on boards and hung ard the gallery... then he himself stood in the middle of his works with only his boxers on... and allow the viewers to write their thoughts on his body... And he stood there for 3hours straight! Although there wasn't many many visitors... but the response given were rather position.. and most of them admire his work, his determination and his courage... well... i thought so too... cos i think the purpose of him doing this is to encourage ppl to face the problems thru art... and i think ppl will rmb this... So if u are interested (you should be)... there are 2 more slots opened... pls visit the Queen gallery of SAM at 2-5pm on 3Feb (sat) and 4 Feb (sun)... i think u wun regret...

Another one was this listening party in response to The Self Collector by Jan Rothuizen... called the 'Guilty Pleasure'... coordinated by Ang Song Ming... Jan's works are also exhibited in SAM itself... at the Waterloo Gallery... it's quite cool also... But this guilty pleasure is rather special... it's very interactive... It says... 'Bring your guiltiest sonic indulgence - a song of your choice in mp3 or CD. Tell everyone why you find it a pleasure, and why you feel guilty listening to it.' It's really like ANYTHING you like... and i listened to a no. of ppl sharing theirs today... and i find it very interesting...~! And the objective is... to face yourself and confess anything...~! There one more session on 3rd Feb (Sat) at 4pm at the Glass Porch of SAM... and the thing is... you can actually scratch words on the glass panels... like confession... so quite nice... Pls go there and take a look... and relax! :))) I enjoyed my day even though i was Very tired at the end of it... i think it's worthed...~

Anyway... i came across this other theatre production by Toy Factory... called the TiTouDao... Details can be found HERE! I think it's quite interesting... and i feel that it's going to be rather entertaining too... So if u are interested... pls tell me... we can go watch tgt! :)))

Omg... i just have so many things i want to watch... but really have not so much time and not so much money also... Sianx...~

Anyway... going to buy SCO tix really soon... so if anyone wants any tix with the special 50% discount (only for SCO regular concerts)... pls approach me fast! Ok!

Haix... just not fated to game these few days... dunno why... kept on getting dc from the game... stupid lor...

These few days... haven't been feeling really happy.... haven't been in good mood and good temper these few days... and haven't been too willing to speak these few days either... just haven't been... myself. Sighx... Wonder if it's pms-ing... But i nv had pms... Or is it just the things happening ard me?! or am i just tired?! Haix..

Actually i've got a qns to ask... i think it's quite common.... i'm sure everyone has met such incident be4 ba... but it tends to get a little confusing... Hmm... must ask both parties... for guys: what does it mean when u go out with a girl (not ur gf) and is willing to pay for all the expenses, activities of the day? for girls: what will u think if this happen to u... i.e. going out with a guy (not ur bf) and he paid everything for the day... Was just wondering lah... but pls... give ur respond... tag or msn or... sms me ba... Thanks.

Anyway... Watched 'Happy Birthday' on tues while out and nothing to do... with someone else lah... The show... It's quite good... but the way the story is portrayed is a bit confusing... like they show over a period of 10 years... but it's a bit hard to guess which year is it already... Although the ending is rather predictable... i still cried when the ans was revealed why the birthday wish from XiaoNan (Leo Ku) to XiaoMi (Rene Liu) was late... BUT on the whole... the story is not touching enough ba... cos i didn't cry much except for the part mentioned... heex.

It's getting a little boring with less ppl talking to me online... i dunno why the ppl i used to crap a lot with... no longer chat whenever we are both online... and with less ppl updating their blog regularly... and thus... less stuff to do online... Maybe i should get myself hooked to tv again... Anyway last sem's timetable is better for me to catch the shows... =P
