The news just set me with this thought of what '世事难料' really means... If u all haven't heard the news... Xu Wei Lun who met an accident in taiwan 2 days ago had already left the world at 7+pm today... Seriously i'm shocked by the news... and suddenly gave me some sort of uneasiness.... the thought of this pretty star dying at the age of only 28! Haix... so sad right... Really... nothing can be predicted in life... how would they know that she will meet an accident when actually she was supposed to turn up at the shooting scene soon...

I really hope that such thing will not happen ard me... AT ALL! So ppl driving.. pls take care when on the road driving... and others who are usually passengers... pls really... put on the seat belt... Take care.~

Haix.. my AuditionSEA signed out on its own... sianx... so i guess it's fated that i have to blog... Ok lah.. actually i have a lot of things to blog abt... Been meeting so many ppl lately... Haha...

First group of ppl was the NUSCO peeps aka the Friday supper club on fri.. (duhh...) Haha... No lah... i dun always join them on fridays... but was told they were going to celebrate huiling and hweeming's bday... so i went... and to my surprise... many others went too! Like 16 ppl in total! Let me list... other than the 2 mentioned... joyce, suyi, eric, yanyi, peiying, changsheng, siqiang, christine, eugene, kathy, yihui, jiahui, my sis and i. haha! some of them really like long long long nv see liao... Had dinner at Riverside Indonesian Rest... not bad lor... err... i think everything added up to abt $18 per person??? i not very sure... cos my sis paid for me. =x Anyway... ya... food quite nice also... we ordered like per pax de... so quite good lah~! :))

Then was drinking session... just sit there.. have a drink and continue all the talking.. haha! I dun think we ever stopped for the night lor... even thou i wasn't sitting with sis during dinner.. cos she came quite late lah... haha! And we were having fun playing with suyi's camera... or rather her sister's camera... it was super cool lah.. cos it's a touch screen camera!! so can edit the picture like neoprint machines... just that not so many options lah.. cool for a camera still~! Heex. Didn't return home very late lah... cos er-jie got to work today..~

Then today(sat)... omg... had fun for the night with my dear maternal side cousins... We just like talk and talk non-stop... or is it just the 5 of us? haha! Like can crap abt every other thing lah.... it's really nice feeling... cos haven't seen them for quite long le... so everyone laugh like mad lah.. =P Thanks to san-shu-gong who celebrated his da shou... and invited all of us there... coincidentally... yiping-jiejie's birthday is tmr (28/1)... so we sang her birthday song also lah... Oh... happy are we taking photos too...~! Haha.

Anyway new year is coming... so yea... more meet-ups and laughing session.. haha!

Sunday . First SYCO prac

I'm actually not done with what i did and bought on sunday... in fact.. i had a rather fruitful trip to tm~ So much so that i'm almost done for CNY... unless i decide to open up whichever of my intended new year clothes.. And i tried to avoid black since i already bought a full black dress the other day... I think it's my 3rd full black dress already. Haha!

So... i bought 2 tops.. one was paid by da-jie and the other by me... and the red earth promotion set which has 4 items in a box that is going for $24 only... i think it's really a good buy..~ Yea... But no luck for my slippers... and i'm tired already also... Spent abt $50 of my own money for the day... sianx... going broke... allowance given is seriously not enough!!! I need more money. Any jobs recommendations??

After that... the original thought of meeting the cc ppl for dinner was foiled when mum came carrying 2 bags of detergent... for the floor i think... and well.. i do know that i have the responsibility to carry home... so well... Home with them!

Oh... tell me abt my monday... everything was fine until i stepped onto the stage.. getting ready for the first syco prac of the year... the atmosphere is just so different from past years... a little more heavy... everyone quiet and blah blah... unlike the past we will just chat with our partners when it's not our turn or make many faces when we couldn't catch... however... we were told to be very attentive and serious... But well... i must say that Ku Laoshi has his own style and he's good in some way... the way he make us notice every single notation on the score... and blah blah blah... But of cos... i think whoever was in sy be4 will miss our cheerful mr quek in front... making fun of every other person even on the first day... But i believe every conductor has his own values... and we should not expect him to conduct like someone else.. so well... we have to follow his way... Take it as a chance to learn new things lor..~ :))

Hopefully SYCO will be fun this year too... more activities.. more opportunities... more interactions... But quite sad that they have to separate gaohu and zhonghu for sectionals lah... i guess i will miss yonghong's craps... and i think he will miss my bullies.. HAha! No lah.. actually i'm very nice to him..~ Haha. Only 5 ppl for sectionals is really sianx lah!! Moreover in that super small room -- the staff lounge... so pathetic lor... why huh?! Erm.. whatever! Haha!

New toy!

Oh... i haven announce yet... i have a new toy to play with.. the N6233! haha! Yeah yeah...~ Heex.. Quite out of a sudden right... That day was still talking to jan over our phones... the same phone that is... and i was still saying my phone is still all right and wun be changing so soon... or rather.. will only be changing when my plan ends.. BUT.. the very next day.. i've got a new phone.. Hehe~

The story goes... sunday mummy brought her niece (aka my cousin) who came from indonesia to get a new phone line for her course of study here.... But she already has a phone that her father bought when she first came cos she still can't apply for the student plan then... So.. she took the plan while mummy say i could get a phone.. so tada...~ here i am with the new toy... quite cool de lor... :)) Mummy got a new phone herself thru her plan also lah.. but she gotten a $0 phone instead... but not bad also... like my flip phone... maybe better?

I'm going out already... have to prepare... blog again abt other things... erm.. when i come back lah.. haha! Bye~

Quite random stuff...

Hmm... dun feel like sleeping and feel like blogging. Lol. Wasn't in the mood to do so in the aftn so ya... was playing AuditonSEA again after watching tv at night.. Can go level 7 liao... need to take license... sianx. Anyway, was reading some blogs earlier on.... and made comments here and there... and think a lot also.. Ya...

Went back to NY a few days back... tues ba... The day i was truly sick... still went back thou... Seen a few teachers... chatted even thou dunno some.. And seriously... i was shocked when the VP said she rmb that there's such a person (ME) in ny when she saw us in the canteen. The thing is... i was nv a student who stands out... so i'm surprised! I think even some of my former tutors can't even recognise me... haha! Anyway it was a nice hang out day with Han, Wanlin and Jiale in NY... After having our fav fishball noodle and my fav apple juice in the canteen... the 3 of us went off to meet Kim while wanlin went home.. And well... the rest of the day was spent chilling out at TCC, slacking at Kim's sch student lounge and at the Thai food store... We spent all the time talking and laughing.. gossiping abt every other thing... shows... guys/boys/men (they know what i mean)... and whatever..

Then i left them to meet Via and Ling while they were having their dessert at the Thai food store... And so.. we had dinner and proceeded to carry out our mission of the day - to buy pres... and eventually we got it settled after much consideration here and there! :)) That's why... we had the time to sit down at Gelare for a waffer! :))) Oh-so-sinful.. but i love it! haha! We slacked until it was abt to close... and make our way home... for some reason... there wasn't any urge to go home for any one of us... but reached home at 11 eventually lah...

Lessons and lessons... what could i say of them... i felt that last sem's modules were more interesting? Although history could be boring... But the subject matter itself is more interesting.. And i realised... the whole course is actually more inclined towards the visual arts side... probably most of the lecturers deal with visual arts... Which is not really my cup of tea.. Arts to them is probably most focused on art itself rather than dance, music or theatre. Maybe that's what i like abt Mary and michele's classes. Cos they are lecturers dealing with mainly theatre.. Haha. So far have yet to attend any michele's lessons.. but... this time it's not abt arts management... but business writing.. haix.

Hopefully i could really prepare myself ahead for every lesson and engage myself in some sort of discussion during the lesson itself... today is really off cos i didn't get a thing from the course kit.. for goodness sake i just got the course kit 2 mins be4 the class started. haha! and being such a slower reader... i got nothing out of the text. =x

Well... ask me abt my written assignment's results... haix... sucks... really... esp. for those history of perf. arts (music, dance, theatre) stuff... it's a pass lah... but then.. the thought of the actual marks just puts me off... i dunno whether it's becos i dun understand or it's becos the effort i put in was minimal... even my visual arts assignment was far better. Weird right. Nonetheless... they are not everything. So since it's already a fact... i should work on this sem's stuff to make sure that it can pull up the grades cos it's 50-50%... Well... Wanying. U got to pull up ur socks!!

Oh.. have to go back in time a bit... to the SPCO concert... Well.. i just got to say that i'm such a good hun-ner.. having such good hun-ing skills... and i think i surprised many ppl by being on the stage... And although i turned up for very few practices (3!!)... i was put behind the concert master... And er... i panicked when i knew... cos i've been thinking of hiding behind those ppl so that i can follow their bowing... =x So hopefully i didn't spoil their music by being such a lousy front person... =P As i've mentioned previous previously.. it's going to be my most unprepared concert... and i really panicked cos i was so so not prepared... SO... i'm so going to prepare myself for future concerts... At least i was more relaxed for mco's concert lah..~

So upcoming are... NUSCO and SYCO lah... the former's is less than 2 months away... 11March, 5pm @ UCC. Oh... there's a teaser for it... quite cute... can go and see see... just click HERE to see it.. Eh.. for that concert... More or less i'm able to catch the songs lah... Anyway... i quite like some of the songs going to be played... Support if you can... Eh.. can get 25% if order the tix be4 27Jan! So must act fast!

As for SYCO... 2June... Just get ur tix at any Sistic counter.. :)) Prac starting real soon... like the coming monday~ A combine session... so going to die at it.. haha! I need to practise on sun and mon!!

Oh!! Did i mention that my neckerman slippers broke?! HAix.. damn sad.. although i was thinking of getting a new pair... it had to give way be4 i actually does... i was on my way home from dinner with my family.. when the piece btwn my first 2 toes came off... luckily we were just across the road from our block.. and thus i was cursing while trying very hard to get home lah... eventually i did... (still with the slipper on!) haha. So really.. now i NEED a new pair instead of WANTing a new pair... sighx. And my iPod nano earpiece is going problematic with the irritating sound again.. SIANX.

Damn... i'm feeling hungry... better go sleep before i grab something to munch. HAha! Nitex.

Bored blog

I'm bored... so is my blog... Lol!

Aiya.. din realise that i didn't blog for quite a no. of days le... There are 2 reasons for the inconsistency lately... 1: Was busy playing AuditionSEA... My sis started it lah... and so far i'm still at level6. So slow right.. now not so much time to play cos take very long to load.. haha! 2: Was busy chiong-ing Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nü lor.. Haha. But finished watching the latest episode liao... so have to rest a while... actually it does follow the comic closely lor... but i rmb i didn't finish reading the comic... But up till this point.. i still can rmb the story lah.. Haha.

Ya.. Anyway... going off le... Tired ah..! AND! For goodness sake.. i'm sick AGAIN. Sianx. But now almost recover liao lah... sore throat and nose block... and cough today cos like always got something stuck in the throat. Eh... whatever lah... come back from sch then blog.

Finally it's weekends... But.... does it matter?! HAha! Anyway.. this weekend will be busy and busy... Haix.. that time really shouldn't have agreed to perform... so stress cos lack of practise... and i dun really like the style of the conductor.. I think Ling knows... But it's too late... Next time i will know how to say 'NO'.. Trust me..

But treat it as an experience ba... and now i have the same record as Jon lau... going up on stage after only 3 practices with the orchestra. How smart... but this is not a self-praise... in fact i didn't like the idea at all... cos i know i'm really not prepared for it... and why should i be doing something like that.. something that i'm not confident of? And wth guest performers have to pay for the costume... i mean... it's already bad enough not paying ur guest performers like transport fees... and expect them to pay... haix... seriously.. that's poor management and poor public relations.. Haha! Even if the ppl see this.. i still want to say... Pls lah.. ppl are doing u a favour... so u all should consider the fact that it's not very nice to ask the guest performers to pay for something right... the cost should be split amongst urself.. collect more fund or what lah... if not then dun make new one lah... wear own one... sure no prob one right?! Din even ask if the guest player is willing to pay or not... What if he/she last min put aeroplane cos of this?! So Let me say this.. this will be the last time i will do this.. NO MORE 2ND TIME LE~

Hmm.... first week of school... although the timetable is like poo.... but at least i had more time to mix ard with the class... have loads of laughter... blah blah blah.. so not that bad lah... Lol.. Just that... it just had to rain so heavily on thurs and fri... sianx... and the lazy me doesn't want to open umbrella on fri... and so happened that i decided to drop off at parkway after i board the bus... i ran across the road... and got myself super wet... like i just came out from the bathroom.. Lol. And i saw the milk ice thing!! So happy!! :))) Ok.. i'm so easily contented... And i didn't buy anything in the end lah... except for lunch... haha!

ERm... that's all lah... i'm busy watching hua yang shao nian shao nü... very difficult to watch... dl very long!! sianx.. Byebye.

Yeah yeah.... back with photos from the concert... Haha..! Firstly.. proud to present Ms Ishikawa, Sylvia and I... As laoshi's private students... :)) Seriously happy to see her... and to play with her on the same stage... That's something i've nv done before... And she is really one good erhu player and team player.. i must really admit that sometimes i can't even be compared to her!


It's us again with Mr. Hong Qing... He just came into the picture without our consent... lol... but ok lah... let him be... he's really working very hard for this concert... and i must say sorry to him for a comment i made to him... i said it was his mistake for making all the zh players as stage hand... felt very guilty when i see his facial expression changed.. But that is indeed an area to think abt also... It's really too difficult and too tiring for everyone this way... So i hope he wun put it to heart... :)

A long sat...

Ahem... school is starting soon... Like REAL SOON. Lol... which is 10Jan lah... actually is mon.. but then mon and tues no lessons... so wed then start lor! haha.. Happy happy to see the newest/updated timetable... cos it's 3-day week again! :))) HOWEVER, some are rather long hours... and it's night class on thurs again... Means i cannot watch PSS2 le!! But then... Lesheng also out le lor... like nothing much to see le... sianx... But hengx... not wed if not sy also die le... Lol! Erm... shall not grumble lah cos like that is very good le! haha!

Went for MCO celebration lunch today... Was quite late already when i got to MSL school... so i stood outside music room and waited for them to finish... i think 15-20min ba... haha... dun want to make a grand entrance in mah.. Lol! Anyway... then took laoshi's car to fuchun... and waited for the thing to start... Ok lah... at least i had some fun with them... Actually really a bit she bu de... i think it's becos they are all like kids.. so funny thou noisy. haha! But woodlands is really far!!

So went to NUSCO prac after that... was erm... very late! haha... i left the place like 5 past 3pm... and i reached nus close to 4.. haha! Quite afraid to go in alone.. cos not the first time.. haha! In the end after tuning and all... Suyi went in with me cos she needs to go in also.. Lol. and wow! got many erhu.... and i hid behind all of them... alone in the row. =P But today not bad lor... got play like 80% well... haha.. even after nv go for so long lor... Heex. Wah... after prac... waited for the concert comm ppl for so long... then in the end also went off to eat first.. it was like 9 already lor.. so we went KFC.. and after that.. HOME!!

I think today i best lor... i covered almost all the mrt stops today... except for the extreme end from tanah merah to pasir ris and chinese garden to boonlay.. Lol! Took train from bedok to woodlands thru NSL in the morning.... then from fuchun.. thanks to zikai who told me how to walk to marsiling mrt from there.. ( i nv knew.. Haha)... so from there travelled to clementi thru jurong east int... and after nusco prac... took from clementi to bedok to go home... one round lor! haha.. i almost died... haha!

Actually i have other things to say... but then.. nvm... another day ba! i think tmr... cos now... late le... sianx.

New Year Resolution?!

Talk abt new year resolutions.... well... i've nv made any be4... in the first place... i know i wun accomplish most of them... secondly... i think that every start of the year is just another day of the year... so what is so great abt having resolutions? What i'm interested in is... how many ppl actually followed their plans made at the beginning of the year all year round... like.. study hard everyday... or... things like lead a healthy lifestyle... or listen to parents/be guai2... or blah blah blah... And how many actually rmb the resolutions they made at the beginning of the year...? Some 'resolution-makers' can't even follow a daily plan... not to say a year's plan... so what's the point?

For me... i do not make any new year resolution... becos... ya.. might be one of those that dun even follow the daily plan... and i believe in living life as it is.. making decisions at correct moments... and not to do anything just for the sake of fulfilling the goals set.. isn't that too rigid?? But seriously i dun like to make plans that are too far... cos anything could just come to me anytime mah... Everyday is also a NEW day mah... haha!

But of cos... i hope to see more good things this year... cos last year... i can say that it's really a roller-coaster year for me whereby there were just so many changes in directions.. so many ups and downs... Maybe it's not a bad thing cos i've gone thru so so much last year... but i prefer a quieter life... haha!

Anyway... still have some wishes lah... be it tangible or intangible... can be bought by money or not... I just want to be a happier person after today!! And i want to foster more closer friendships from now on too! haha! So are these counted as new year resolutions? Lol.

Last 3 days of 2006!

Shall take some time to update a bit... :)

It's been a busy busy weekend.... whereby i'm out everyday for at least 12 hours from fri to sunday... BUT i must say that i quite enjoy myself each of the days... :)

Fri was a total shopping spree... And practically everything i bought... coincidentally were all black in colour... Lol!! A black dress & a black tube from TCP, a black 3/4 sleeve top from U2 and a black pair of covered heels from C&K... Haha~! The first half of the day was spent with Sylvia.... decided to still watch a movie in the end... Night in a Museum... Damn funny... i really had a good laugh there... Thou there were flaws here and there... like how did the table got back to its original position after the Rex sort of destroyed it~ But anyway... it's a good comedy! Catch it!!! :)) Then met Von for dinner and her shoes spree... that's when i got the shoes... afterall... i still bought a pair of shoes... heex.

Sat was MCO practice again... well.. it's the last last one... I was really putting in my effort for it... so much so that my fingers start to peel and feel pain when i press on the strings... which is really bad... Cos there's one more day to go... It may not be a 100% effort... but i could say at least 80-90%... the rest is due to my tiredness... haha! Anyway the day ended a little earlier than usual but after all the waiting and stuff... we still left ard the same time... thereafter went to 85market for dinner... and walked home with via after that...

And finally... Sun!! It's a wonderful last day of the year i must say... thou there were times of frustration, nervousness, and last min problems... but there's more happiness than any of these... That's probably the last time playing with MCO in the near future... cos after that they will be probably busy practising for their respective SYF... and i will also have other commitments to fulfil... And to speak the truth there are really fun and interesting ppl ard... and showing their heart of warmth to someone who is quite a stranger to them -- Me. haha! So i had quite a good time playing with them at backstage and stuff... and i'm rather surprised that i talked quite a lot ytd. even with ppl i do not know their names.. Haha! And of cos i'm happy that melody, charmaine, daijing and yushi came to watch the performance... thou the last person went off halfway thru... and thanks for the flower!! Am really surprised!! :)) And not forgetting all the lip-reading and face making on stage with them since they were so near. haha! ok... i know that's very unprofessional... but we are not what! =P

After the concert and all the photo-taking... went down to marina bay to meet the nusco ppl... Quite a no. of ppl were there... even William and Eugene from sy were there.. haha.. Then we walked to Sheares bridge and waited for the moment... There was a mountain of ppl there thou at the marina bay mrt station was an announcement to ask ppl to go city hall for the countdown and fireworks instead... and i saw this familiar figure whom i think name is joel who WAS from mco... i rmb commenting that his cello was quite well-played.. anyway that's not the point. haha. And so... the fireworks was awksome!!! Er-jie was at there too... just below the bridge while we were on top... And in the end... we still came home together in Royston's (my sis' friend) car with huiyan cos it was so-so-so difficult to get a cab after we've walked from sheares bridge to cityhall mrt just to realise that there's no more train service just as we approach the door to mrt... it's so near yet so far... i think half the population camped outside ytd... haha! And to my surprise it wasn't one of the highlights in today's news.. that the train service could at least extend to even a later time..?!

So i could have been home earlier than the actual time i got home this morning.. yea? Anyway... i enjoyed the day... so there's no regrets. :) And tmr!! I'm meeting my ny ppl for kbox!!! Yeah! Been long since i last went there.. haha!
