First day to update since i came back from the trip... Basically i'm just too busy lah... and i haven thought of how should i present my trip to you... Haha... There's simply too much details thru the trip... and it will probably take ages for me to do it day by day... and of cos due to my not-so-good memory... i might not be able to rmb every single thing... so i shall do it by category!!! Ok.. i shall start now!!! =)
Firstly.... The ppl that i enjoyed the trip with... Erm.. i wanted to put a group photo so as to lessen my narration... then i realised that i dun have any full group picture taken using our own camera... simply cos there's a professional photographer in the group.. it's not his profession but his hobby lah... he brought 3 professional cameras there... who can win him~?! So with his big big lens... it's easy to capture all of us inside... thus all the group photos were taken by him... Yea... Anyway the group is made up of 18 ppl.. Of which 4 is my family (including me).. then i knew 11 of them long long time ago... they are 春姨, 心姨 with Uncle Wong, Ah-tin-gor with Uncle Kwe, 娥姨 with Uncle Tan & 淑慧姐姐, 秀芝 Auntie, Auntie Annie and 亚妹 Auntie.. (all my mum's friends)... 1 of them is mum's friend's friend (whom shared a room with da-jie)... and the other 2 joined us separately coss 2 of mum's friends cancelled their trip...
Then... our 导游 for the trip... I must say that it's really a pleasent surprise for us after the almost 6-hour flight to shanghai in the not-so-promising (trying to be nice on my words here) plane... Once we stepped out of the glass door after collecting all our luggage... this man greeted us at the door... Shouting our names so loudly unafraid that we'll be known by everyone there... But why? That's my beloved godbrother -- 小沈!! More than half of the group already knew him when we went to Shanghai that side in 1999.. He was our 全陪 then... and we had a happy time so much so that he became my mum and dad's godson and our godbrother. =) I dun even rmb he called me THAT until he shouted out so loud at the airport. lol.. So we're all prepared for a nice trip with him again from the first day! =) Then at 山东... there's another 导游 known as 地陪 -- 小张... He's a nice person too... very 斯文... and he shares lotsa stories on long bus trips... lol...
Next... Food... Basically 小张 told us that 山东人 usually dun eat rice as often as other ppl.. they had 面条 or 馒头 instead... cos they like things made from 面粉... quite weird i tot... then the most horrible thing is their food are all VERY VERY saltish and oily... so as very health conscious singaporeans... of cos we can't get use to them... and 小张 tried very hard to ask them not to add so much salt in the dishes... nonetheless... some doesn't make any difference... and we accepted that sometimes it's a matter of the chef's 习惯-ness... lol... then in the end 小张 just told them not to add salt at all... and tada... that makes the difference! Haha... And a bad thing for me... it's a norm that after every meal there will be fruits served... and Unfortunately... almost every meal is served with Watermelons... Oh man... i nv liked them... and i stubbornly didn't consume them at all... my happiest day was the day 水梨 was served... and those were bought by us... not supplied! I heard that the specialty there is seafood... but we din really eat a lot of seafood there leh... only a few meals... there's one that's quite good... seafood steamboat... every one has a small pot to cook seafood of the choice... (that's where da-jie got her windbreaker's pocket burnt when she stood up to get food..) Hmm... We also tasted many different types of their 风味餐... like.. 渔家餐 (food that families that live along the water normally consumes), 农家宴 (food farmer's family usually eat), 孔府宴 (food from famous Kong-zi's family... in his hometown), 饺子宴 (diff types of 饺子 served... the fillings inside were different) Eh.. can't rmb all...
Then... Hotel... Erm... all was quite all right ba... but there was this hotel that we feel that might have some problem in the 风水.. 不是我们迷信... it's a few signs that made us think so... we said it was quite weird... and 小沈 was the one who said that 风水可能有问题... cos that's where most of the ppl who were sick.. fell sick... it will be elaborate later... Then others... ok lah... i have no problem sleeping... Lol... Some were exceptionally good leh... with good TV + programs, bed and pillow and toilet!! Haha... Thou not the best hotels in town... they are good enough... say 4-stars~?!
Next... Erm... suddenly my mind is blank!! HAha... it's telling me that it's time to sleep.. Well... i should... cos... i'm working full shift -- 11am to 9pm for tml and thurs!! and no rest till next tues... sobx... my off-day is put to one day later... hopefully i can get all my desired off days for june.. =) Update again... and continue on my trip eh... SOON! Haha...
Anyway... updating on my application... still no news... Sianx!!! Like after so long... no call.. no letter.. no nothing!!! Haix...
