SYF 2011 - 2

两年一度的中学中央评审就在今天‘放榜’的时候画上句点了。今年因为有时间,所以三天都准时到场,56所中学,只有一所没看/听,因为太累,太饿,所以先跑了。

Like my FB status, "OMG. 3 full days at SYF is likea crazy. I listened to 55 征s, 3 秦兵s, 3 movements of 拉萨行, 3 out of four seasons, 2 太阳s, 2 飞天s, 2 阿佤山s etc etc. Yup. There's only 1 school i didn't catch. HAHA!"

Even I'm amazed by myself. LOL!

Good thing is that there aren't many repeated songs this time round. The most is already 秦兵! Quite a relief really. See the increase in standard?! There's only 1 school which played 丰年祭. And it's one of the not-so-good schools, so I can understand lah. But they should at least try to make it more presentable, eg. the speed they are playing the 小快板.

In my opinion, there are a few schools which I was totally impressed! Nanyang girls, cat high, VS, cchy mostly. 抒情变奏曲 is nice! But both the schools who used it didn't get GWH. which was quite sad!

Some schools really deserve the GWH, but some are just I don't know why. Maybe my ears are not as sharp as the judges. This kind of things, we just shouldn't have any squirms although there are. HAHA. irony much I know. That's the whole point. Even though there are some questions about it, that's it, right? There's no way to change the results anyway.

The aftermath of SYF: some people do complaint about how 'not fair' it is. Or console themselves that it could be this, it could be that. Or there might be things which happened during the whole time that makes them angst. But think again, what is reason for going to syf? To show off how new their choice piece is, how expensive their instruments are, how many instructors they have, how many students they have? I hope not, what we need is seeing the students grow with the music, see the music grow with the students. What we do not need is: any dispute between schools/students, any misunderstandings. We can't control the results, we can't control what others do, but we can control what we do. Yup. Refers to a few incidents which I know of, totally think it's childish, firstly the students who did it, and secondly, also the 'victim' students/adults who are also spoiling their own image by saying rude things. It really got on my nerves whilst looking at those comments. And I'm just laughing and thinking, 'what difference did you make in saying those stuff?'

Okay, enough of those. All in all, congrats to all who gotten the results that they wanted. For those who didn't, do not be despaired, there's still the next syf. That includes my own school, SAC. 只要多加努力,多加练习,一定会有成果的。:) 要记得音乐,尤其华乐的精神喔! :D
