Affinity with CO

This may never be shared publicly on the company profile because l really suck at this. But as I read many of their entries, I do realise how attached I am to the company. If not, I wouldn't have tried so hard.

Honestly, I felt that anyone who is a fan of CO would have dreamt of working in this company before. I learnt of Sco in primary school when our instructors changed and they were all from SCO. I had to beg my mother a few times before I was allowed to attend a SCO concert back then. That was before the current home of SCO - SCH was ready; concerts were held in VCH back then. Obviously I don't remember the programmes anymore but if I see the poster I might have impression that I have attended some of them. That was how I connected with SCO.

With encouragement from my then Erhu teacher - Mr. Low, I joined the SYCO in 2005 and stayed till I had to "graduate" in 2013. From the orchestra, I have met many many likeminded friends, whom not only did we attend more SCO concerts together, we also hang out a lot in a large group before and after rehearsals for dinner or supper, watch movies, organize our own annual EOY chalet.

Aside from the fun, I also experience a whole range of good and challenging repertoire, got the chance to play alongside SCO musicians once a year, and also witnessed how a team worked behind the orchestra to make a concert possible. I knew I wasn't professional musician material but I'm still passionate in the Arts, so I gone to do Arts management instead.

Can't say I excel in the studies, and I'm also not exactly well-liked, and although my interest in another aspect of the Arts industry grew throughout my study, there's still this part of me that wanted to join this company, esp. at the end because I just want to show that I'm capable of doing it when the others didn't believe in me. Took me a few attempts across different job titles and honestly, after a while, I was not that keen anymore because I had tried too many times so I didn't feel like doing it again and again, like shamelessly. I also wanted to try other arts forms, esp. I was enjoying working with band and symphony orchestra at that time too. Fortunately or unfortunately, this final chance came up and it was quite a perfect position. (Maybe half perfect, I have always wanted to do programme, but I also wanted to do artist management). I only got the artist (internal) management part. But I was all grateful as I've been in the company for 6 years, which is the furthest I've come, yet. 

“你可不能走哦”，是我听到最安慰的一句话。差一点就要哭了。不管我做了多少麻烦他们的事，多少不好听的话，他们还是希望跟他们一起工作的是我，这就是信任。谢谢他们这几年下来愿意信任我，愿意和我分享事情，愿意跟我抱怨，愿意请我帮他们的忙，愿意带我一起做很多事情。很荣幸，很开心他们不嫌弃我。对我来说，与很多人都是公事，是公事就不会随便，但公事外还是可以是同事。其实我不需要他们喜欢我，我需要的是互相配合，互相尊重，但这些就是靠‘喜欢’换来的。工作上我问心无愧的平等的对待每个人。需要做的就得做，我只能表示同理心。

“同理心”应该是我最好的特质了。不一定一直做的好，但有着同理心总会让人感觉到我的真心。

With this, I also received my best present for the year. I just need to thank everyone for being patient with me. They could have complained about me for everything I did not so well. 

What surprised me more was during my appraisal, my boss asked me if I have plans for the years to come, and if I have imagined myself to be a HOD. Never. ever. Because I actually know that I can't lead well. I can't make good decisions on my own, I don't really know how to delegate jobs to other people and I prefer to do many things myself and my way. So I may end up like one of the previous HODs, which I think better not lah hor. Then again, this also led me to think more about what I should and need to do in future, and probably I need to plan for myself as well. This is a scary moment but also an exciting moment because I can now handle things on my own without hindrance (which is also the scary part because I cannot shun away from anything anymore OMG!). I'm more scared than excited definitely. But I hope it will be good. Definitely looking forward to doing more shows, and I also need to pray everyday that things will be fine - I will not be late; musicians will not be late; musicians can fit in their uniform, musicians remember to come to work, etc. 

With that, I hope for a better year ahead! ◡̈

Birthday V.33

June passed by so quickly, not sure was it because I was on leave most of the days so time really passes in a blink (sleep in my case). 

Let's just recap a little on the birthday. Despite the many things we couldn't do this year, really thankful for friends who put me into their thoughts. I really didn't expect most of the love I received on that day. Not sure what I have done in my life to deserve all these people. I was touched by every single one of them because nobody sent me anything I didn't like on my birthday. I can't even put it out like what I'd prefer from what I received. But steamboat was definitely the most amazing. Because it fed all of us, including my erjie and bil. Thankful too that they were allowed to come over then. There there were cupcakes, taiwan food, bbt, cakes and ice-cream! I've been contemplating ice-cream for the longest because there's not space in the freezer most of the time but le mother couldn't complain when it's from someone else. And pretty long lasting dried/fake flowers too! It was just.. pure amazing that things happened this way. I was so well taken care of the entire day that some of the things doesn't matter anymore. And wow, this is probably the only year that we are able to do things like that. 

Not much feelings towards the birthday, but I felt blessed even during a period like that. Friends who gave selflessly. We couldn't meet so I won't mind if we can't celebrate. They sent me things that they couldn't enjoy with me. Just by the thought of spending that sort of money and time to think of what to send me is already something I couldn't ask for more. It is definitely a different birthday after all. 

With Taiwan food (my fav 卤肉饭 and Meesua and BBT!!!) from the syco大人s who thought that I'll be sad not being able to be in Taipei "my homeland" during my birthday, so they gave me a pseudo taiwan trip. They even got to my sister to plan it so that I will not get lunch. The thought of it is just... I'm so touched! (although I got confused as I thought sis ordered lunch but didn't know that the lunch is from them)

I got ice-cream from SSS (sushi, siyih & sylvia), from gelatissimo and got another pint of ice-cream from joanna. Ice-cream is always on my mind. hahaha

I got cupcakes from qin and my hospital playlist girls (Minhui, von and Shihui). There were too many so erjie took some. But the ice-bear ones were pretty! 

I got colourful mermaid drink and cheesecake from le colleague QW. Delivery person didn't give me the receipt nor told me who is it. So had to do a shoutout on IG. WHICH... also happened exactly the same on his bday! HAHA It's so funny!

Got a bottle of jap wine from Ting-Yu. Can't wait to try it! Yup, I haven't. But I will. After which.. a few days later, Fontane also gave me a soju (peach) and a pack of korean snack so that I can experience Korea at home! HAHA my friends know me well. 

And the SHE girls are the ultimate! To send me some very pretty dried flowers and then the steamboat. The flowers came first so I really had no expectations that the steamboat followed. They went to the extend to use MW's sis to msg me on whatsapp so I can't suspect anyone. Indeed, I had tried to guess for the first few days and then I gave up. They were one of the possibility but there was no way I could find out. 

And yup, my sister came with a cake! Nice yummy really rich chocolate cake from all time fav Lynda Ann's. We finished that in one seating. Nothing was left. Also another blessing in disguise since I haven't been able to celebrate my birthday with the family on the actual day for many years (for several reasons). So this also gave us this chance to be together on this day! And it's also thanks to the steamboat! 

Except for good memories for the day. 

I actually also spent most of the day doing nothing and then filming for the hospital playlist video. And then coincidentally, a few things I bought also came on that day. So all in all, fulfilling day! LOL!

我愛台灣 (2015跨年版)

如果要說說我現在過得如何，還不如說一些快樂的事。

至少我做了一件瘋狂的事；跟一群朋友一起瘋狂。這也算一件我夢寐以求的事：到台灣跨年去。朋友總是說等她換工作，不然跨年的時候她都得工作。2014年，她換工作了。我們招攬了親近的朋友，一起早早的訂下這趟旅行。而且，2014年，他們都陸續去了台灣，但還是答應了一起去，真的非常感謝生命中有這些朋友。我，有他們，是幸運的。

我只能說這是一趟超乎想像的旅途。（哈哈！）我們能坐的交通工具大概都坐了：飛機，船，火車(台鐵)，高鐵，捷運，客運，9人座車，7人座車，最扯的是腳踏車。哈哈！Ok, 也許就差了纜車，沒時間去乘搭。因為呢，本來單純的只想去幾天的跨年之旅，最後因為飛機票比較便宜，然後用了反正去了就不要浪費的精神，就把它變成了台北->花蓮->清境(+合歡山)->日月潭->台北的8天之旅。:D

雖然整趟沒有想像的順利，但因為跟對的人一起出國，沒有什麼挑剔的。還沒去之前就出現了小狀況：

「溫馨小貼士：一般買火車票是12天前在網上開賣，但佳節期間還是天天到網站查看最新信息較好。還有真的要提醒負責買票的人要在午夜12時就上網去買。」

因為呢，我就是這樣，失去了一次高鐵的優惠價票，還有一次台鐵的座位票。這次跨年在台灣是連假，他們1月1日至5日都是公定假。所以台鐵的票早一天就開始賣了，而且是1-5日的票都賣，方便他們本地人買來回票。所以結果就是，我一張票都買不到。但，當然的，我們也因為這樣，有了不同的體驗。哈哈。這個，先賣個關子。

第一天，無異議，大家很早就到機場，早到我有一點嚇到，因為他們到的時候我還在家裡。最好笑是，我真的很早就起身了，但沖涼到一半的時候，不知道什麼事電箱跳閘了。=.= 全身都是肥皂，又冷到半死，又這麼早沒有人可以救我... 反正最後我就當作是為了台灣的天氣練習了。

一切順利到住的地方後，就開始找東西吃！哈哈。先來一點水餃／鍋貼。然後到師大夜市。吃了許記生煎包，李阿姨水煎包，蛋餅，滷味，藍家刈包 (My fav!!!!)，然後飽到不行，沒機會吃師大鹽酥雞。:( 然後最好笑的，我們又繼續去附近的兩家咖啡廳(café)，但其實大家都大概不行了！HAHA! 就到了Aranzi Café, 很可愛的地方！吃了熊貓蛋糕(Fruit)和貓貓蛋糕(Yuzi Cheese)和壞東西waffle or something like that. 都很的好可愛，也蠻好吃的。然後又到一家立裴米緹咖啡館官網 (L'apre's midi Cafe')吃有麻糬的waffle. 只能說，雖然很飽了，但還是覺得很好吃。第一天就吃吃喝喝就過完了。很好啊！haha! 因為知道第二天會是非常長的一天，所以就早一點回家休息咯。

第二天，早餐去了我去台北這麼多次都沒有去過的‘永和豆漿’，不知道為什麼，我知道西門町有一家，但就是沒有去過。也許是因為比較常住台北車站附近吧。好喜歡他們的早餐店！(Tip: 要選好了才排隊，不然會被‘酸’）選擇真的好多，而且每樣都好好吃喔！我吃的是饅頭雞蛋豬排堡，還有熱的甜豆漿，鹹豆漿is just not my type. Haha. 然後呢，就去了‘等一個人咖啡’(Café.Waiting.Love)朝聖。哈哈！真的。咖啡店老闆非常的聰明（也真的是‘等一個人咖啡’迷），知道這間店原本只是電影的場景，拍完了就會拆掉，就出了錢把地方買下，讓這間店可以延續下去。然後我們這些都看過電影的人到台北就會想去看一看，喝喝咖啡。說真的，食物並不是最佳的，但氛圍就很好啊！何況我們在等位子的當兒就在門外瘋狂的拍起照來，各式各樣的。:) 宣傳效果非常佳！哈哈！

然後呢，你就會以為我們吃夠了。結果，又跑去吃鼎泰豐。哈哈！小籠包，炒飯，豬排，酸辣湯和肉粽，都有！然後呢，離到跨年現場的時間還蠻多的，就到處逛逛，找一找明星的店，本來想在Zoom In買一點什麼，但什麼都沒買，因爲冬裝真的不行。本來也想看看有沒有吃的，但是不太了解店的規格？所以最後放棄了。也看到了其他的藝人的店，但冬季的，真的沒什麼好買。走到差不多了，慢悠悠的到台北101前的廣場。7點左右，人群已經非常多了。我們到的時候節目剛開始，結果看了一陣子，我們就決定走會101吃點東西再回來，反正還要很久。101的人潮是多到...... 只好分頭買了食物到戶外找位子坐著吃，也花了不少時間。回到舞台哪裡的時候剛好羅志祥就唱完了。我們就繼續找位子看咯。其實大家都還蠻守次序的，只是到了快散場（尤其哪個大咖唱完）的時候，不知從哪裡來的人一定要大家一起擠出來，場面頓時有一點失控。有一度還跟朋友差點失散了，而且真的得站穩腳步，不然大家早就散一地了。:/ All being said, it was still quite exhilarating when we were doing countdown. Oh wait, we were at a little lost at the start, because the host were talking and talking, we turned around to look at Taipei 101 and suddenly we are starting to countdown the last 10sec. Haha! 看完了煙火很多人都逐漸離開了，因為林俊傑（本場的最大咖）已經唱完了。但，我們留下看蕭敬騰。基本上，大家還是蠻有次序的散場，漫步到比較遠一點的捷運，在等待入站的時候還有工作人員“娛樂”我們、還腦筋急轉彎。最後還是因為太多人，分開坐捷運回西門町。

然後呢，休息的時間也沒多少了。迅速整理好東西，就睡了，因為隔天趕早班火車。雖然我們到了以後就到台北車站買票，幸好能預先買票，但也只能買到站票。沒辦法啊！只是，上火車時也不知道我們是怎麼做到的，就上了第一車廂，然後發現它是一節沒有座位的車廂，大家就找了位子放行李，做了下來。太幸運了！（好像這本來是讓乘客趴自行車的地方）而且，我們搭的那班車是不怎麼停站的，所以旅程就相對的變短了。So, it was not too bad after all. So we got to rest a little and sleep a little and eat some breakfast we bought in a rush at the taipei station earlier, until I find my butt super cold cos temperature has dropped a little.

第二次到花蓮，美還是美。重遊了一些地方；有些地方卻已經換了／變了。而且有些步道還是有一些危險。第一次沒走完的步道，同樣的還是沒走完。哈哈！真的太累了。Anyway, 晚上高興到了花蓮的市中心, 至少是上次沒去到的. 沒去夜市, 還是吃到好吃的東西! :D 来成排骨面， 豆花，还有曾记Muachi!!!! 新鮮的麻糬真的太好吃了! 然後真的很累, 就想要回去休息了. 連民宿屋主介紹我們去的跨年晚會有蕭敬騰也根本沒有想去的念頭. 最後他出來接我們到住的地方, 洗澡後還是可以看電視, 現場連接跨年晚會的現場. 也不錯啊! HAHA!

隔天一早就離開了花蓮, 好可惜沒有機會到民宿附近看看. 司機載著先去买阿美麻糬，然后我們一路玩一路到清境. 開始覺得冷了. 很慶幸在一些地方看到非常美麗的景色, 而且在沒有太多的霧的情況下有雲海! 可說是運氣好吧, 因為天氣好的關係. 午饭的地方司机让我们选，所以我们在靠近碧绿神木的地方用餐，吃到蛮好吃的饭餐，外加好喝的加了蜜桃蜂蜜的热茶。还有非常好吃但真的蛮贵的急速冷冻日本菇。虽然一路也蛮赶的，原因是说到清境的路上会经过合欢山，那合欢山在冬天的时候是有时间限制的，过了某时间就不能上下山了。主要是害怕下雪路上湿滑，天暗，会危险。反正到清境的時候天還是亮的. 是唯一一次我們兩兩一房的地方. 哈! 看還有時間就到了小瑞士去走走. 那晚吃火锅！冷天吃点热的食物还是蛮爽的。然后又去吃雪糕。哈哈！

第五天了! 因為是冬天, 所以早上不能上合歡山看日出, 所以只能是觀景. 如果是想看日出的行程，就避开冬天吧。結果, 沒有下雪, 然後也去了一些我們前一天已經路過的地方, 算是沒幹到什麼. 那个司机也不怎么样。最後呢, 司機就把我們放在清境農場. 反正就是relax mah. 時間好早, 綿羊們又不知道為甚麼都不在外面跑來跑去. 我們還是要自我娛樂一下. 有幸摸到了一隻踢了毛的小綿羊, 真的是油油的! 有一點異味, 但還是蠻可愛的啦. 哈哈! 又吃了一堆食物, 等著綿羊秀開始. 只是太陽也很賣力. Lol! 看完秀就又到处拍照咯！Jump shot 不能少! haha! 跳到累到........ 最惨的是，接下来还要走那长长的楼梯下山，499步听起来不多，走起来却是...... 到底的时候，不夸张，真的脚软。幸好，我出国最好的朋友就是安美露(Yoko-yoko). Haha! 在紙箱王(Carton King)吃晚餐後, 又是自由時間啦!

隔天一早吃饱后就出发到日月潭啦。超期待的说...... 景色还是挺宜人的。Ok... that's a understatement. It's a beautiful place! 有一点点长途跋涉，为了一睹整个日月潭的美。但，我觉得值得。谢谢民宿主人热情地分享，也是希望我们不把时间浪费掉了。所以时间过得倒真的充实了。景也看了：到玄奘寺和慈恩塔的距离真不是盖的。斜坡和楼梯统统都来，好不容易才到玄奘寺。休息后又是一系列的楼梯，还要爬上7楼高的慈恩塔，才看得到那整个日月潭的景色。真的就是无限大的感觉。(还有无限远) 而且要原路返回。T.T 然后终于到了大吃大喝的时候，在伊达邵是买了不少食物啊！杰记山猪肉大刈包、烧麻糬、不同口味的烤香肠、阿萨姆奶茶、烤小米麻糬、等等。还有阿萨姆奶茶冰淇淋！就是吃！哈哈！然后赶在最后一班船之前回原来的码头。看到太阳下山！真的好美，但好快！一下子整颗咸蛋黄就在山后不见了。晚餐也在一家蛮不错的餐厅吃：虾子、蛋卷、烧肉...... 在等座位的时候还买了炸香菇 －好吃！哈哈什么都好吃。晚餐后就逛街啦，买了小饰品什么的，反正就是那些游客的精品店。:)

民宿主人也住在同一栋的。他们的房间是真的漂亮，宽阔。也非常的舒服。但只住一晚。他们也建议我们早上可以跟着他们到私房的地方看日出，说是最好的地方，是他们老家的.. (something like that). 我们考虑了以后还是决定了不去，因为很早就要出门，然后要走蛮长的一段路。我们还是想看日出，但决定在码头附近的地方看咯。而且想骑脚踏车，所以不能太晚。结果，由于当天的日出晚了一点，只看到了山后的晨光，没机会等到太阳完全的升起，不过还是觉得蛮美的喔！看时间剩的不多，就出发骑车去了。还以为能骑完整个路线，但我们大概只骑到了一半吧，其实路程是蛮累的。虽然路不颠簸，但斜坡不少，加上早上的太阳也卖力的照在我们身上，只到了游客中心，听了一会儿就返回了。但不得不说，风景真的美。Definitely live up to its name for being one of the most beautiful cycling trails. 各位，最后第二天了，体力透支了也不过分吧。

然后就得赶巴士出日月潭到台中高铁，搭高铁回台北咯。还好有时间买食物，只是我知道自己已经有一点要感冒的迹象了，就买了最方便吃的食物＝寿司，想换来多一点的休息时间；放弃了看起来非常好吃的高铁便当。幸好，我做的选择没有错，10分钟内吃完，然后睡觉。隔壁都还没吃到一半，我就已经不省人事了。哈哈

回到台北又是一系列的血拼：去了诚品，挣扎了很久，然后买了五本非常重的书。:x 还有大吃大喝（对，又大吃大喝）到我最喜欢的饶河夜市啦！好吃的食物还是那里最多；我们真的吃非常多。上次吃过的，加上新发现的。然后去了佳德糕饼，现在有新的捷运线到饶河还有佳德门口（还有小巨蛋），真的超棒的！不需要再走那么多路了，也是因为这样，我们才回去了原本没有在计划内的饶河。:D 回宿舍放下买的东西后，还早，所以又到了比较靠近我们的宁夏夜市。我头一次去喔！没什么大不同的东西，但炸芋圆还是好吃的，还有50岚，此旅行第一次喝。然后就是收拾行李的时候啦...... 这次住的宿舍 - Star Hostel, 我还蛮喜欢的。干净：因为进去房间的范围前，就得把鞋子换成他们提供的拖鞋。只是需要上楼：行李也要搬上去。应该多数住的都是背包客吧。而且观察到多数都是韩国人哦。

最后一天!!!! :( 一早去找早餐店，才发现上次那间已经扩大了，结果就去了隔几间的老式早餐店，非常的好吃! 吃了蛋饼和豆浆，非常不想回来。然后就去了动物园看小圆仔（但其实它的体型已经不小了）！<3 熊猫！:D 然后再回到西门町，大家各自做最后的冲刺。在最后一天吃了豪大大鸡排，也许上两次都没有吃，这次吃还觉得蛮好吃的！大家都大包小包后，时间就差不多了。Woowoowoo...... 回到宿舍，把行李整理好就走了。对！还买了楼下的甜甜圈，后来排长龙咯。结果飞机晚点，迟了约一小时才到新加坡，凌晨1点多、快2点才到！早买的飞机票不算太贵，就不计较了。@.@

All in all... I love Taiwan.

June is meant for celebrations :D

Yay! Like the title suggested, June is for celebrations! haha! Probably started on 1st June. HAHA. Okay, have to admit that it didn't last for the whole month lah. I couldn't afford also. :/

First was from the best ex-colleague turn friends and vocal classmates I could ever get. Although it was super unfortunate that our vocal coach had to spill the beans the previous lesson. I just pretended I didn't hear anything. Lol! But the awkward silence moment and I guessed the girls really wanted to kill him already. HAHAHA! It's so super funny and yet I have to act blur and contain my laughter. And so it was teoheng session after the class with the 2 'drop-outs' joining us. And then tbh, I saw them choosing the birthday song. Like... I'm not blind lah. Maybe yx was blind cos I think he really didn't notice. Haha! But still, it was a sweet thought. :) Then was dinner with them. It may not be the best meal, but having mates like them was one of the most blessed thing that happened to me for the past year. :) And we had cakes! And cards! :) And I got a present as well! I think that's my only physical present this year. Not that I'm a fussy person about birthdays, but they really took note of what I like, because we were shopping for stuff one day and I merely mentioned I like that ear piece. They went back to buy it another day. So much love. <3

And then, I met up with one of the most important group of friends in my JC life. They made my JC life much happier and fun-filled. The CO peeps. Grateful to have met them. Though tbh, I already knew Jiewan, Jonathan and Deshun way before entering NY. haha! But well, CO would have been different without them around. And every single meet-up with them is always filled with laughter throughout. No other group of friends are like them. And tbh, other than myself, the other 2 pairs were friends on their own, so I'm really very glad that they have never left me behind, and Emily is always really sweet and made no one felt left out or absent from our meet ups. We don't meet a lot, and I do miss them a lot. :)

And then... although both these occasions weren't exactly meant as birthday celebrations, I have the right to put them under the same category. Right? And so, had lunch with the once ex-colleagues (haha, aiya long story) because Agnes wanted to treat us 3 girls (no, not jz and mw) for helping her with stuffs. Nice lunch, nice chatting with them after I left for 2 months. And then, because of free tickets (hahaha), I get to meet Liyana. Miss talking to this girl. Again, we don't meet up very often, but meeting her always made me happier, filled with more confidence, and regain memories when we were in school. I do miss some of my LASALLE classmates, don't I? :)

And there was Meiting's wedding. Really a very joyous occasion, and lotsa catching up with the friends from mco. How long haven't all of us performed together?! And that's probably why I decided to go on and perform for the 10th anni concert. HAHA! (Not really because I wanted to), and tbh, that's one of the only few avenues for me to play with orchestra now. (sad to say).

And then the luckiest thing that happened in months, (yup, other than that, everything was rather crap), I won tickets to Springwave Concert 春浪音樂節 in Singapore on 7 June. Sister was as happy as I was. So ya, we went together. So exciting as there were some Tainan food stalls as well! :D My 棺材板 & 滷肉飯 & 鹽酥雞!! *Drools* (Though we were supposed to be there for the music. haha) So anyways, we thought we were there mainly to watch Jam Hsiao and Amei lah. Hehe. When we got there, it was 郭書瑤 singing. So we were eating the yummy food and listening from far away, apparently, it wasn't as bad as we expected. haha! Could tell that she really put in a lot of effort to train and most of them are not her own songs. Then there was Bii 畢書盡, 丁當, 蕭敬騰 & 張惠妹. Have to say we enjoyed ourselves very much. Even though we are not at the best seats, it was very 'high'! So excited to see Jam and Amei again!!! <3 :D I hope next time will be JJ and Sodagreen though. HAHA!

Next was our 2nd breakthrough performance, and family gathering plus seeing the little nephew. Breakthrough was all right, a little better than I expected but I knew I could do better than that. Looking forward to the next one. Nephew was sleeping most of the time and not feeling well, but managed to catch up with the cuzzie a bit, before they left. And they cut the cake without waiting for me! (Even though it was also my birthday cake) LOL! Anyway I had to leave after that for HCCO concert, to support Bernard for his concerto. And partially because the conductor was Wei Yanming, so I didn't mind going. HAHA! =x

And then there was my birthday. Actually I never called for any celebrations on my birthday. If people wants to share the occasion with me, I'd be happy. But it's just my birthday, I wouldn't really want to trouble any one to give their time up for me, not even my family. And so, I had a solo-activity-afternoon, after having sumptuous lunch with daddy (which I just treat it as my birthday lunch even if it's not). I was contemplating between movie and cycling, no good movie timings, so I went cycling instead, which I was thankful that I did. Cycling alone wasn't boring anyway, I had plans. I brought with me my polaroid and a roll of films just for my own birthday project. Sighting scenes I would love to record down. And just to do one of my favourite activity - watching planes take off.  And thinking of how I could take pictures to depict 1206. I was trying to look for the numbers, later I decided that I should try to be creative. Thus I got something that says 'No. 1', 2 pieces of clothing for the birthday (Hehe, excuses I know), 0 from the top of my drink, and '6' from my block number 132, which represents very much on my life - 1 bro-in-law, 3 sisters and 2 parents, adding up to 6, making up what my family is, which is very important to my life. :)

Ok, and then it was really celebration. HAHA! I need to thank the 2 for taking leave from work to do this with me. Yay to fellow June babies. :D We went to Water Adventure Cove, spent some good time playing with water and waiting in the queues. haha! Had some good laughs. And to the korean bbq dinner with the Beloveds for both Qin and my birthday. The group of friends I will never abandon and I know will never abandon me :) <3 I don't have to say much, because hanging out together for 14 years with most of them is nothing fake. <3

And then, although it was really part of the #1206, but I do consider it as one. i.e. joining Yes933 for their night cycling event. Have to say the waiting was really longgggg, the route took us to some place I've never been before and to our surprise the sights were very beautiful; looking at Singapore from a different angle. :) It was then some supper, some activities before heading back to ecp to end the trip. Tiring but nice. :)

Of course, I needa thank all the friends whom managed to remember and made an effort to send me a msg. More than happy to have them than anything else. And so with this, I'm ending this super late post. HAHAHA!

There goes Rabbit, Here comes Dragon!

I think I never failed to post about CNY every year, so this year will not be spared as well. This year was a bit tough because first 2 days were Monday and Tuesday. So the weekend before it was kind of wasted because it wasn't new year yet.

But this is quite a special year for us as we had relatives coming over on 21st, 22nd and 23rd. HAHA! 21st was lunch after paying respect to our ancestors at the temple. Ever since we don't have a common house, we have been roving around a few houses after the session at the temple. And so, we lost our usual reunion dinner place as well. So from last year, reunion dinner is at my place. But it's kind of not everyone is here anymore. Still, we had a good time with the families. And we had kind of a reunion dinner on 21st already, just my family.

And this year, the only different part is that Erjie is no-longer just a 'Lim'. She's also a 'Wong' now. So she wouldn't be with us all the time. I miss her! And so, Dajie and I made our way to 三舅's house and then we went to 大舅母's house together. And my cousin asked if they will see my Erjie because this is the first year they are going to receive angbao from her. And commented that it's kind of different without her around. Eeyer, want the angbao then say lor. HAHA!

So back to my place, sit and talk and eat. Forgot that we should use the time to take photos. haha! And didn't have the time and energy for Wii also. In the end Erjie came with Bro-in-law to 三叔公's house. Yay! And joined us for the rest of the day.

Should have tested my luck that day. But I'm too scared of losing. Totally don't like the anxiety of gambling. So I didn't play at all. But I still gained a Magnum from it! hahaha!

At night was as usual the Lim Family visiting our place. Truly speaking I was totally tired at 10+pm already. Still, tahan-ed till all the guests left.

2nd day is again as usual, go to the temple for my grandma's death anni, then travel around, really nothing much, except for all the little conversation I've made? I think I did. haha!

3rd day! Boss gave holiday. Hohoho. So no need to wake up early, had another day to slack and regain energy. Very important you know, because CNY is so tiring. Da-jie also on leave, so it was good food for lunch. Hee. :)

And so back to work, and then.... visiting on the weekends again!

The first sat, to 团拜 with NUSCO peeps. Long time since I met them. Steamboat at Kevin house, and then to Andrew's place. Meet-ups with this group are usually associated with games (cards or console). This year we had a new game - Dixit. Quite fun! Got to be imaginative, creative and a little scheming to win. Haha! But quite a interesting concept and nice drawings on all the cards. So impressed. And the usual 三国杀! We have quite a few experts there lah!

Sunday was with family again, supposed to be with SYCO ppl too, but planning was so bad and since they don't really care if I was there, then be it lor. So I was with family to 3rd Uncle's place for lunch, which is really good! :) Then to 8th Uncle's house and to 7th Uncle's house. By then, it was nearly evening! In the end, we decided to watch 'We Not Naughty' that night, and I went to Laoshi's house with Via before the movie. It was a short one, but at least we did. haha!

Last but not least the last weekend. Sat was a totally busy day at work for our season launch. And dinner at night with the Royals. Nice dinner at Hua Yew Yuan although the place was a bit noisy. It was full the whole night. How amazing.

Sunday was a day out with Beloveds. Accomplished quite a lot I feel. Had a good steamboat for dinner at Dj's place too! Thank all the mummys for cooking/preparing the nice desserts for us! We had desserts from morning till night (before the steamboat). LOL! :)

I hope every new year will be as good, or, even better! :D

Sister's Big Day! :)

Finally my sister is officially married! After all the engagement, ROM and finally the custom ceremonies over the past 2 years.

It's quite fun but tiring having a family member getting married. Why didn't my eldest sister get married leh? And I've met so many people I haven't met for a long long time. Okay, let's start from the morning.

The Rest of Dec. (Finally)

December was really so eventful i think my mum can't really be bothered if i go home for dinner anymore. hahaha!

Bday for Gemini babies :D

Oh! June is ending soon and i haven't really update finish June happenings! Haha. Too busy to really sit down and blog properly. Paiseh.

The next on activity was prawning with my beloveds!!! :D It was both quite boring and interesting. Boring when there's no catch at all. Interesting and excited when u got something on the hook. We are quite noob so the no. of prawns we got is not equivalent to the amount we pay. HAHA! We got 22 prawns with 3 rods @ $90 for 3h. Oh and that's for 8 ppl. lol! We can't even have at least 3 for each person. =P

And here goes the say: 'it's the process that matters'. haha! Ya lah, at first i was really just waiting and waiting for the prawn to bite my bait. Waited here and there, i think for 1h i had nothing? While we were complaining and consoling ourselves that maybe the pond dun have a lot of prawns that's why we didn't get anything. Then the uncle from the next pond just stood over to prove us wrong by fishing a few with every bait he puts in. Probably a minute for each prawn? Unbelievable. And we were really looking at him unbelievably. Haha! In the end he gave us a few of the bait he's using. Damn cool. It really works (better). Haha! Cos eventually some baits got eaten and we didn't get the prawn. lol. Noob. =P BUT. I fished 3 prawns! So i did my part. Heh. :) After that I was going ard taking photos. haha. Jan is sad cos she had no luck until much much later. Hee. So she took photos too. haha!

Since we dun have enough catch to have them for dinner, we just oven grill and eat them up. Quite nice though~ :D And then proceed to have our dinner at Old Airport Rd instead. haha. Western food, carrot cake, claypot rice, hokkien hei mee, chicken wing and what else? I can't rmb. haahha. And sugar cane and tau huay. Tau huay was good. like really good. :)

Then after that we tried to find a place to get a grp photo and..... the only place we found was the old airport rd market sign outside. LOL. And we look like some tourist partly cos i was using dslr? And we were discussing abt that while trying to find a trustable passerby to help us take. And indeed! That person asked where are we from once he took the picture for us. Lol. We all laughed out loud. Should have told him then, Various places in the east of sg. haha.

Birthday 2009

Thanks to all those who rmb... and thanks for all the wishes.. presents... and time spent with me! :))) I had lotsa fun for this year's bday! :)))

First of all was the picnic session with my Beloveds at Marina Barrage! Yeah! Finally we are there. Enjoying ourselves with food and nature (err... ok. man-made) =P First cake for bday this year! Nice chocolate cake from Chocz. Hee. As usual (except for last year), we celebrated Qin's and my bday tgt. A bit late for Qin and a bit early for mine. But still. i think everyone enjoyed and had fun out of the least we spent? :)

Then met up with my dear JC friends too. They gave me a stack of Kinokuniya vouchers!! Yeah... ok. Not really a big stack lah. hahaha. But good i can buy storybooks. Hee. Thanks jiale for getting it. :) Yup... So it was just a simple dinner at Bakerzin. And Kim didn't come! Tsk tsk. She went to some other friend's 21st Birthday party. But well... i didn't turn up for hers too. hahaha! so we're quits. =P

On the actual day itself... my colleagues were so nice to treat me to lunch @ Secret Recipe. (Yes... i went to work becos i would be doing nothing anyway. no difference) I was happy cos i barely know them for like less than 2 weeks. So it was quite a surprise. :) Really nice ppl to be with.. Nice foodie when out with them for lunch... but also means spend more money. lol. And long lunch sometimes too. Oops. Yea. Had my favourite Chocolate Indulgence after that!! :)))

Evening was spent at SCH. A rather last min decision to catch the SCO-Jazz Concert. Thanks to SCO for the complimentary tix lor. haha. if not, i also not sure what would i be doing. probably just go home and yada yada. cos no one 'dated' me what. Oh wells... birthday is really just like any other day lah.. for the past dunno how many years, my bday had been rather plain and eventless. It's either everyone thinks that i will have something on my bday or that they just didn't bother. but think abt it, if anyone bothers, i won't end up without programmes right? Haha. what an irony. Nvm. Anyways.. so Sis and i went to the concert. It was awesome anyhows! Perhaps better than the last one! lol. And Huang Laoshi's crystal erhu is really like damn cool! We screamed at it the moment it appeared on stage. And Thanks to Xunqi, we were able to take a photo with the Erhu! :)))

After the concert, SYCO peeps decided to go for supper! So we went to our usual Xing Wang HK Cafe again. Eat and laugh and whatever. lol. The usual syco stuff we talked abt. Cabbed home after that with minhui and joel chia. :) Thanks for the card and the Garfield keychain. :) It's the only card i received this year.. and i like it! :))) It's sitting on top of my work table now. yea. until i get off from this job end of the month lah. hahaha.


All who went! :) And yet xiangle pangseh-ed AGAIN. Haha!

Then sat was a meal out with my family @ Sushi Tei. I know i damn suaku this time cos i've nv been to Sushi Tei. Like what the right.. hahaha! Anyway.. nice lunch we had and after that bought some drinks and went home cos some syco peeps coming over for Wii. In the end it was quite funny cos of some funny incidents.. HAHA! Jojo, junan and junyuan stayed over... jojo and i played Wii almost the whole night till morning. lol. terrible. Actually i was quite tired. but ya. i very 了不起. haha! Fun day with them... Sylvia even bought a cake and the few left sang a birthday song for me damn quietly cos quite late already and they were also trying to be funny. lol! So ya.. this is part of my bday celebration cos still got cake. haha!

Then Sunday was NUSCO peeps' turn. It's supposed to be a Wii party! It wasn't meant to be a birthday party and it was not a birthday party. But i was still presented with Tangs vouchers when Eric, peiying and huiyan came... so i have to put this activity down here. Haha! Ya.. and so everyone was enjoying the Wii i could see.. and HEAR! Very excited grp of players... even noisier than my syco ppl. Finally syco found some competitors. lol! Our dinner came from 85market. Cos almost everyone of are westerners and have nv tried food here before... i make them sound like foreigners... hahaha! Yea. Apparently the photos have not been uploaded yet... so ya. Next time. :)

It's Vday again.

Yeah... extra cash in march. lol! Thanks to the government. =P Thou not a lot... but good enough to cheer ppl up. (except those who are anti-gstoffset). Dun be surprise but there are ppl who doesn't care abt it cos they are either freaking rich already... or they just can't be bothered with the govt. haix. Then it's quite good for the society too cos it will be donated then (hopefully).

Anyway... Happy Belated Valentine's Day! :) Spent my day sleeping at home... and running some errands and then prepare food for friends coming over and entertain them when they come. haha! Supposedly wanted a singles party.... but turned out to be not-so-single cos got a couple... I feel kinda bad to not include them... so i still asked in the end. haha!

As usual... nobody came on time. lol! so i kinda took my own sweet time too. :) and everyone finally decided to eat like ard 7+pm. haha! so the rest weren't so late too... latest was xiangle.. 1st runner up was sylvia. haha. the rest were already far earlier than them. we were just a bit curious where xiangle went before he came. haha. we were giving some rubbish guess cos he came at like 10pm?! hee... but still managed to get a picture taken with everyone inside.

Last day of 2008 and First day of 2009

Finally woke up after sleeping for almost the whole day.. lol. Came back from joel's place abt 11am... (i'm glad i came back in a piece) attempted to sleep but was still feeling quite bad... and family ppl keep coming to disturb me.. no appetite for lunch... but they forced me to wake up and eat.. only ate a little although the food looks nice... went back to sleep on my own bed so that they will not be walking in and out... YEA.. finally. i dedicated the whole afternoon to sleep. only woke up at dinner time. :) Felt better after that!

So the qns is... what time will i sleep tonight? HAHA! Actually i think i'm still quite tired... i think also becos of the monthly affair... it's very late this month so it's not a very nice feeling. argh. Nv used to have this kinda problem.. I think it's the effect of both... wth.

Actually i was totally lazy to blog... partly cos i piled up too many things to blog abt... makes me dunno where to start... then partly i'm lazy as usual... and partly becos of this...


HAHA! Busy trying to level up with the very little time i have at home recently... too bad i can't play it on my phone... hahaha.

Ok.. I'll update a little... SYCO chalet shouldn't be much said anymore... cos everybody already knows Joel's throw face story.. and there's no other news worthy story anymore.. hahaha! Joel aren't u honoured to hear this? You are the limelight! lol.

Christmas Eve was a short (quite) gathering for the jc close friends. William was very nice to invite us over for lunch... And cool.. he got the machine for karaoke at home! My house should get one too... if not all the sound system we already have is going to be a waste soon.. haha. Lunch was cooked by william i think.. Nice and healthy. Yeah! Mahjong-ed a while.. luckily we weren't really gambling.. cos i lost all the rounds... until the last game. -.-

Christmas was even more fun-filled. Twilight-ed with sis at tamp after lunch... My very very blur sister... actually booked tickets for the wrong day... and we didn't realise until a few days later. -.- So when we reached there.. the first thing i noticed was the timing was wrong... it was 1.30pm instead of the 1.40pm she said.. then we went to the collection counter and the lady said there's no record under her ic no. and credit card... so we on the buy the tickets and went in to watch as normal lor... in the end she was checking her email and still claimed that she bought the tickets... And know what.. she booked the tickets for 24th dec! double dotx. HAHA! if it's later still ok right.. at least can go watch.. but past already leh! Means we spent like 30bucks to watch the show. -.- Not worthed. haha!

Then went to daijing's chalet... We were actually quite late... and jan was the first one to reach... haha! that funny girl didn't even rmb our classmate's name -.- And still ask us to guess her name... i was like.. i know her name (doreen) leh.. why need to guess? LOL. Slacked in the room enjoying the aircon while waiting for the rest to come and mean time complete the cards for the 2 girls. Yeah.. cool wor.. but in the end both were a bit crumbled by dj's cousin while they were playing in the room later on. But our fault too.. should have kept it away earlier.

Mini celebration for weiling... with cake and present. Happy she like the pressie wor... she knows what we gonna get for her liao lah... it's what she wants... but dunno what design mah... :) Sing bday song and yada yada before dinner... Food was nice.. her relatives good at bbq-ing wor! hahaha! Cake from royals (for ling) was nice too... we finished the 1kg cake shortly after dinner. lol. chocolate lovers are all around.. lol!

Then up to the room for pressie exchange.. oops... I haven't upload the pictures yet... Ok.. this will come in a later post. =x

Sing bday song and yada yada for daijing after that... cool. she got 2 cakes. one was fresh fruit cake.. and the other was durian cake with santa face as the design... nice design but i just can't make myself eat the cake.. hahaha! Anyways... took quite a no. of pictures with the rest ba... hahaha... with the other sacians who went too... cool. :)

Feel that it's kinda different this year cos of the 21st bday... for at least the past 3 years.. christmas was.. at my humble home... really humble cos my table can't even accommodate all of us... can but very tight lah.. haha! But i'm really glad they nv 嫌弃 my house even thou it looks the same every year and our photos always have the same background. afterall there aren't much space in my house for everyone to stand tgt and take a picture. lol! And this year is more relax!! Cos we dun need to worry for food... for space or for anything else. :) and i dun need to clean up before and after the celebration. HAHA! =P

Anyway.. didn't stay over nor stay late... cos next day was another long day... and thus it should be in another post... So that's all for the moment! =P

The busy but BEAUTIFUL weekend.

Ok... a few days didn't update liao... Err... cos quite busy lor.. haha! But today nua until damn happy... that's why i'm still awake now.. -.-

Went for Jiaying's Bday at Aloha Changi last fri... i was quite late cos work ended late cos of some stuff... and i came home to bathe and went by cab after 8 to avoid peak hour charges.. but in the end 2 ppl pangseh-ed lor. But well... they got their reasons lah... Forgive them but they better come when we next meet. haha! Anyway... the only person i know is jiewan. So i hafta stick to her... haha! So anyway we update update abit since we quite didn't meet already. right? and we can't decide when was the last time we meet either. haha!!

So anyway... thou our original plan was to go home like 10plus... and we really did want to leave... but in the end she saw interesting games and since we have ppl to play with... decided to sit down and play. With jiaying's sec 4 friends. Oh.. we like played for quite long already then they realised they didn't know my name. lol! I'm surprised i can hun quite well with strangers. haha.

In the end... we left the place like 2+am? LOL! And guess what. i had to wake up at 6.30am the next morning. dotx. Jiewan sent me to the main street and i took a cab back... cos she not shun lu... but very good liao... cos the moment i got down from her car, i got a cab... and the cab got me home in like 10min from loyang ave. Luckily lah.. cos on the way back... it started with drops of rain on the windscreen.. so i asked the uncle to put me at the shelter... as it was getter heavier... the next thing u know... it's POURING! Really kua zhang ok. Anyway. Thanks for entertaining me ya.. I enjoyed playing! haha.

So next day (sat)... surprisingly i could wake up... good thing my phone is on the shelf charging so that i would get up and off the alarm.. if not ah... i think i will just press snooze and forget abt it. lol. In the end still a bit late to meet charmaine. =x cos it was raining and i was trying to find a plastic bag to put my umbrella... But in the end when i got to downstairs.... the rain stopped... -.- So qiao. Anyway we weren't late... but rather one of the earliest!!

Err.. regretted not practising enough at home before going.... damn difficult! A lot hun-ing involved cos really cannot catch the notes. =x Actually after that quite happy to hear that laoshi wants to put me in gaohu cos long de chuan qi erhu really difficult hor.. but then again... i dun even think i can perform.. Haix. Actually i feel sad that i have to miss so many things this year end becos of my attachment.. but i have to put studies related in first place.. so i have to do it. I was really kinda half-hearted when i make the decision... and i still am i think... Perhaps until it's going to be confirmed. I hope soon so that i can really be relieved that it's settled.

After MCO went to watch Babylon A.D. at Suntec with Yushi... Thanks to Liyana who gave us the tix. and caiwen too... I was kinda late... but luckily there was something going on in the theatre which delayed the screening... so when we go in the movie just started... Hee. The show quite interesting... although couldn't quite understand the whole rationale behind it. lol! And the ending a bit confusing.. it's kinda neither happy or sad ending ba... just blissful ending? Ahh.. whatever.

Sunday.. Funniest thing... i kept on thinking i was going to work on sunday... at least until sat i was still thinking so... And i also rmb that i was supposed to watch beautiful sunday. So actually i told my supervisor i didn't want to work on the sunday. But i happily agreed to have lunch break with yushi tgt! We even decided on what to have for lunch! dotx. I only rmb i'm not working when my sis asked me on sat night and i didn't rmb the lunch until she msg me on sunday to ask what time we want to go for lunch. OMG! damn blur. haha!

Ok.. So highlight of the day was Beautiful Sunday. It feels weird to be sitting downstage watching them and not performing... haix... i miss performing on the stage actually... and esp. with the SYCO ppl. I wondered if i still have the chance. cos afterall next year's syco is still an unknown to me... :( Same for nusco concert? Even the nearest i can think of... mco concert. I'm quite sad that i couldn't participate. Actually i do like to perform ya? But not solo i think. haha!

HAd some celebration with the syco peeps at esplanade floors for 2 birthday ppl.... afterwhich most ppl left and the rest of us went dinner with yss. He's damn nice i really have to say. He really seems more like friend than teacher to us. Even promised that we go out once more before he goes back to shanghai. Cool teacher. Partly really becos he's still young and wants to be young. haha. Seriously will miss all these SYCO ppl if i nv go back to sy again... Actually i should have left long ago... but they made me hang on to it... and now how?

So that's end of ytd. Although it was Mid-Autumn Festival ytd... Not much was going on... cos it rained super heavily... And sky was super cloudy no moon to see... So no party.. Quite sad... Cos it means the festival was just over like that. Seriously Singapore should consider making the festival a Public Holiday. Becos... it's also a very impt festival for the chinese!

Ok.. That's all.. i think i go and sleep le.. although today slept a lot already. =x I'm sleeping for tmr so that afternoon wun be like keep wanting to sleep. lol. Nitex.

The birthdays of two!

Yeah!! Let me blog abt my exciting weekend! At least it's really exciting... other than just work! haha! A whole weekend of partying. Love it. :)

Fri was dearest jiaqi's bday celebration and korkor's farewell. The starting part was quite funny... while we were sitting outside the house waiting for her friends to arrive. We were sitting right outside the lifts and looking at them going up and down waiting for it to open at the correct level. Her friends are quite late lah cos i think most of them came after their work. So we were like guessing when her friends will reach.. in the end korkor's friends all came earlier... haha! She so scared her friends all not coming.. except for 2 who were already there waiting with us. lol. =x

Anyway we played till quite late lor... sis and junyi-korkor were playing mahjong with one of korkor's friend... end already then we go home... so meanwhile i was a bit bored and tired (i dunno why). haha. watched a little tv... then played a little bit of games with jiaqi and her friends. Oh.. the world is really small.. saw xianhan (from sy dizi) there... he happened to be korkor's army friend. haha. So qiao... Then i think i saw angie's bf. one of korkor's friends also... not very sure. didn't ask cos i dun really know him and i dun think he knows me. haha!

They should be playing in some part of australia now... er.. maybe not at this hour.. but ya.. the idea is there lah.. how i wished i was there too! Why they nv ask me to go? haha!!! =x Aiya.. anyway.. that's another person ard me studying in aus now... Hmm... I'm glad jiaqi is coming to lasalle. thou i dun think i will really have the chance to see her in school. haha! we can go for tauhuay tgt! =P

Then sat was yet another busy and tired day.. but fun! haha. Went to mco early in the morning... haven't wake up so early for a very long time... went there and went up to the usual music room... turned out that they shifted to the 2nd floor already!!! That's how long we haven't been there. haha. =x And we weren't late! And now we have 1 more company -- Charmaine! Yeah. finally the 2 of us are not that lonely anymore. lol. And in the end laoshi didn't come for sectionals.. -.- Only came during combine... but at least lah... if he didn't go... i might have think that it was a wasted trip there. haha.

Then went to coffee shop to eat. The coffee shop was renovated as well! Very nice and clean and bright now! Really goes to show how long we haven't been there. heex. Then back to bedok... and after a while.. to simei.. hee.

Set up the place before every thing starts.. the balloons were nice!!! haha. our effort. :) I think everything was in place and well yea.. Hope it was really memorable for horng. hee. The xin fu de nü ren. haha. Something special abt the party... the first time i eat durian at a party!!! It's really big and nice... i wonder where they bought it from. Eventually the only one of us present who didn't appreciate it was sylvia koh. how wasted.. cos they are really nice! :)

And cakes!!! I forgot to mention just now... jiaqi got the same cake as me... as in same design... just that a bigger one and a more colourful one... haha... but that copycat lah! =x Then horng got cake from the same shop too! I think The Royals should give me some endorsement fees lor.... i help them advertise so much... haha... But their cake is really nice.. i just finished eating the last portion from jiaqi's cake... :)

Ok... Can i talk abt sunday another time? I'm really tired and going to sleep now. it's barely 12am. omg. haha!!! Anyway i will put some photos for the sunday entry.. so look forward to it... Yeah! Anyway.. it's going to be abt the 93.3fm outdoor concert lah... Hee. :)))

Oh anyway... the 2 of them so happened to have the same birthday... Which is 10min from now. haha! So wish them Happy 21st Birthday lor!! :))) yeah.

1206 to 1506 of 2008.

Wah.. can buy 4D with my entry title. haha! I confess that i'm just to lazy to blog! haha!!! Esp. when there were so many things happening! Anyway wasn't at home last weekend also.. so ya. =P

Last wed was SYCO post concert reception.. first time the event stretched for so long. hahaha!!! Didn't join the impromptu stay over at zhiwen's house cos next day still have to prepare for the chalet... Which actually i didn't do much lah. =x But this year's post concert is so far the most eventful? haha.

Then comes the impt day - 12th June. Actually didn't do much also lah... the funniest thing that happened during midnight was... my sms ringtone actually scared me quite a few times... and my family all sleep already! so it was really quiet ard and ya. in the end i put my phone to silent mode until i went to sleep. BUT i didn't reply to any one of them at once lah.. haha. i only like replied morning of the next day?! haha! i will touch on that later.

Ok.. so er-jie's bf royston came and pick us up after collecting the rented car... we packed and went off to the bungalow chalet.. very big indeed. bad thing the tv cannot watch... as in cannot detect the channels.. but luckily still can play Wii ya.. if not all of us will be like bored to death.. lol! Wii is like the most popular for that few days lor. haha! so we Wii-ed a while.. and went to white sands to get some food and drinks. oh.. the joke of the day was that royston was supposed to attend a wedding dinner... so he couldn't join us for kbox later that night.. BUT. after we sent him home... and as we were abt to reach home.. he called and said that he got the date wrong. dotx. but he still didn't join us lah... so in the end only me, er-jie, yushi, siyih, sylvia and daijing went. they were super duper late... due the the jam caused by IT fair at suntec. tsk tsk. After that they went home while we went back to fetch him back to chalet. And that night... only 3 of us stayed in that BIG house. we Wii-ed until 2+ then went to sleep. haha.

I couldn't really get to sleep... i think i dun like the bed lah... and it was too cold... so i woke up at like 6am! omg... how long haven't i wake up so early already.. so i sat in the living room and stare into space. wah liao... no tv really cmi. That's why.. i decided to reply to the sms-es. haha! At least i replied lah.. =P At the same time also send out reminders for the celebration. haha! A bit slow too... I'm very lazy to reply sms lately! haha!! So i was lag in sending msges to thank ppl for coming also lah. haha! how many ppl say i lag already. -.-

After breakfast... Wii-ed again! then supposed to go home to get more stuff and fetch da-jie while sis needs to change and go back to her branch to meet some customer. BUT! the clever us forgot to bring home keys! hahaha! BOTH of us ok. And the same thing actually happened twice! the first day only sis had keys and she forgot to bring home... but dad was at home that time... so he opened the door for us... and i brought mine when we went off again. but this time... dad went out for lunch with mum and he didn't bring his phone! Mum brought her phone but didn't switch on! Haha. how great. so sis had to go back in sleeveless and berms... while royston and i go get lunch. dotx. Finally got back after fetching da-jie from int.. get her stuff and some more stuff we need... and went back to chalet...

The activity for the night was bbq. and again... the rest were rather late... so my family started first.. oh jiaqi came too! jan was surprised that she was the first to come. haha!! then some came in yih's car... and dj came latest.. too much food and we couldn't finish... decided to keep it for the next night. hee. Wii-ed again! and mahjong-ed too. Ok.. i Wii-ed a while only.. Boxing with jiaqi.. cannot take it... and lost. haha! she so so worked up. haha! Boxing is the most most vigorous game in the whole Wii sports. And it makes ppl want to go nearer and nearer to the tv. Haha!!! Oh. and i didn't mahjong... er.. they didn't play money.. so the punishment for the last player is to wash the dishes left in the basin... char was the person and she did a really quick job.. cos i think she's tired already. haha! Ya.. so that's all for the night. yushi, sylvia, jiaqi and i sat downstairs and talked for another while be4 we go sleep.

Next day... almost all of us were already awake by 9am... and we started decorating the place. my dear cousin woke up at 10am sharp. not bad lah.. haha! cos we actually said 10am but in the end all woke up earlier. so deco deco.. went to bathe and everything ard 11.30am... Wah!! Earliest was jon lau and emily wor... hahaha! jon actually 'vroom vroom' emily there. And they came in blue! haha! Then next in line was ken and deshun. They super early. haha! The first to come in yellow was kim! haha!! Ok.. actually it was all the nyjcians who came first lor. haha. so proud of them. The last to arrive.. dun need to say lah.. the grp know themselves. hahaha! Not shy sia.. haix.

So anyways... the celebration goes on and on and omg i really miss my pri school friends a lot! haha! so i'm so happy to see huiqun and geraldine... and my kor... jiewan maybe not so much cos i just saw her not long ago. Heex. But i'm happy they came lah... I think the grp of ppl who i didn't really have a chance to talk to was my royal family.. since half of the time they were enjoying themselves in the upstairs air-conditioned room. haha! but nvm. will be seeing them again this weekend for kim's day. giving all my time to them man... :) Eh.. and i think i haven't catch up enough with my sisters and brother and all our pri school stuff yet. I'm so looking forward to the next gathering i tell u. hahaha.

Oh... a pity yvonne and sofian left be4 the cake... cos they were the only lasalle ppl... cos caiwen and weixuan pangseh-ed cos of work... and liyana couldn't come too... and lila only replied she can't come after that.. Khai in ns.. But well... this is a norm for lasalle ppl. haha! Sorry for boring the 2 of u!! =x But anyway... my kns gang didn't come too.. coincidentally they have something on.. so we gonna meet another day.

So as more ppl left for the day... finally only 2 grps of ppl were left in the house with us... i.e. my beloved crews of the day since they are so defying to wear RED. (my theme is BLUE and YELLOW lah). And the syco ppl... so we started bbq-ing again.. and also try to finish up the food from catering... went to rent bikes overnight after that... but quite tired.. some of them went cycling for a while.. i slacked in the house. haha! some syco ppl stayed while the rest went home... minhui didn't stay cos of some things lah... :( The crazy syco ppl were fighting in the room. ok.. actually i think it was only kenny and ngeow. haha! by the time we wanted to go out.. they were telling ghost stories.. and ya.. i listened to one.. and ran out of the room. haha!

So 7 of us went out at 4am to the same HK cafe we went after qin's bday party cos sylvia insisted. haha! Oh... this time we know le.. just order simple food will do. I was really tired i fell asleep on our way back. haha! Jiaqi was the one who drove.. the rented car. haha! she was quite nervous cos first time on auto cars. haha. quite funny. but she ok lah. :) Took some crazy photos there also. This person huh.. actually wanted to go home one... but dunno why hor... until very late liao she was still there... haha! I think she clicked well with my cogang ppl ya... so in the end dun bear to go home already. haha!! But good also lah.. more ppl.. more fun! :) Went back and saw ngeow playing Wii alone... lying down somemore. damn relax huh.. we were all tired.. so we retired to the room while he continued. dunno what time some of them left... was fast asleep when zhiwen called me in the morning. haha. woke up at 9+.. quickly packed and came home. the caretaker damn mafan lah... somemore tell my boys rudely 'u all can go home already hor.' (translated from chinese). So we chop chop leave the place cos they like want to lock already. whatever. And ya.. that's all for the chalet!

And i can't differentiate which one is from who anyway. becos they are exactly the same. haha! Oh. and the toy violin from syco too.. lol. hello. u all really very cute leh... i got real one leh.. why buy a toy one? i dunno how to play toy one lor! Next time buy real one ok? Lol. But thanks for the card lah! I like it although there's a VERY unglam photo. TSK. And then from nusco also the lock and key necklace and the card. very nice. :))) Then a very cute and big Lollipop mirror from Reena. Hey.. thanks for coming all the way! :) For a moment i tot it's a real lollipop lor. lol. =x Then... Necklace and earrings from jiewan and jiaying (thou she didn't come cos of work too). Eh.. i forgot to tell them i dun have piercings. haha. paiseh. Keychain from my dear brother.. omg thanks edwin.. i know it's not cheap cos it's agnes b. =x Raoul card holder from boyi and rudy. thanks too!! it's really to know u all in sy gaohu. the only time sy has the same grp of gh ppl for 2 years. haha! Guy Laroche card holder from my 2 cousins, jiaqi and jiaxun (he didn't come too). Thanks my dear and look forward to ur party! can i stay over? haha! Burberry fragrance from my royal family... thanks han for the effort of sniffing 20 over different ones be4 deciding on this... i love it. and love u too! :) Then a Goldheart bracelet from my sis' family cum my mother's best friend. haha! ok.. very complicated. but it's a coincidence that xiaoting jiejie chose a star one cos she likes it without knowing i like stars too. yeah~ Then a series of gifts from the 2 pri school sisters.. a big bag (something i need), a doraemon cushion, a pack of kogepan stickers with my name (this is super cute, got different patterns somemore), a Star-shaped necklace from Helen, and a hp pouch, and a card with very heartwarming message. And lastly... the combined effort from my beloveds and nyco ppl... something that i need to change since long time ago.. my specs! hahaha! I think many haven't seen me in specs for a long time already lah... cos i dun really dare to bring it out in its current state lor. lol. Oh!! How can i forget this... the stitch globe puzzle already completed from michelle. Thanks for ur effort. I like it very very very much. sitting on my cupboard now. hee. And the angbaos from my godmother, sylvia's mother (thank u aunty), and my san-yi! :) And OH! a bracelet by Meyson from my parents! :)

Lastly... The pressies are all topped with a card with some message inside and i totally totally love it! I think cards are my favourite cos they can be kept for so so so long... and i nv get tired reading them. :) So.. Thanks syco for the HUGE card with a '21' done by zhiwen in front, and a pink '21' card from nusco, a black and colourful card from qun and ger, a card with the message written upside down (haha!) by jiewan and jiaying (i supposed the blur blur jiewan wrote that), a little pop-up card from reena, a silver 'Prints' card from boyi and rudy, the agnes b. card that comes with the keychain from edwin, and the green board done by my beloved cogang.. (green cos it was the other half of sylvia's board, ok my own fault cos i bought it).. and of cos the guest book~!!! Actually some of them didn't write.. so next time have to fill back ya. haha!

Seriously.. thanks for all the effort. And of cos.. thanks my family for giving all the support.. physically and financially. I think i'm really fortunate to have them as my family. thou my sis didn't give me any present... but they paid for ALL the expenses. claiming or not i dunno. But ya.. i didn't pay a single for anything. I love my sisters so much. And a huge thank you to royston also... fetching us, my parents, and making trips to get drinks and helping us bbq and asking me not to be paiseh abt it... I hope this time my sis has gotten the right person. :) Thanks for making my bday a memorable one! I look forward to more celebrations of my friends~!! :))) Just too many to thank... So thank u ALL! Oh.. and for reading too... i know this is a super long entry. haha!

Botak and HideOut Cafe

I'm VERY TIRED. i dunno why. in fact i just woke up from my nap abt 20min ago. =x Watching tv didn't keep me awake.. haha.

Anyway... ytd was almost a whole day out... after finish watching 赌场风云 in the morning... met the beloveds at Botak Jones... was as usual very full... and didn't finish. was very curious how did i finish the botak burger set the last time. hmmm....

So ya... walked to blk 84's HideOut Cafe.. u might not believe it.. but we stayed there from 3pm right up to 10pm... Played a no. of different games... and some... VERY tiring. like will sweat that kind.. but i think it was fun! Started out with a i-dunno-what-name game... similar to a game i used to play with my cousins with poker... just that it's a cuter version with animals. I think next was Saboteur... really fun game... Guesstures （比手画脚） was fun too... just that the version that they have is the Bible version... and there are a lot of holy terms which we dun possibly know... but still quite interesting game. Jurassic Jumble is like chaotic... haha! we didn't know how noisy we were until the other grp which is half the size of our grp was playing the game. hee. Played pictionary for a while and i have to admit that my drawing really sucks! haha! The last game for the day be4 we cut the bday cake was the werewolf (murderer similar) game.... it is very fun actually... the only troublesome part is that u need a narrator. played a lot more but can't really rmb the names. haha!

Stayed ard and chat and chill after the cake-cutting.. i think we are all tired already... so took some photos with some of them be4 we really leave the place... It's really very nice of the staff to let us stay there for so long. I'd probably go back there again! :) And i realised that sometimes a big grp can do a lot of things tgt too! :)

The best thing was... some of us still went for supper at 85 market after that... sit there and chatted until 11.45pm then we decided to call it a day. heex.

Lastly!!! I hope yushi will like the 'poster' we made for her... will upload the photos soon!! The present dun need to say.. sure good de hor? haha! And then... hope ling will recover soon too! And we will meet soon yea~ :)))

CNY eve.

Finally it's new year's eve.. worked for the past 2 days.. all right lah.. not too bad.. saw the manager ytd... the marketing manager i.e. sales not very good lor.. expected lah.. somemore now no more repair on the spot... repair income also not very sounding lor...

But anyways.. the good news is i dun need to work on the 3rd day of cny already! cos my mother complained.. haha. so yea... good for me... Hee. Eh... very tired liao... update again later..

[edit] 11.50pm: Wow... finally finished cleaning the floor... i think i only clean the floor once a year... haha! Anyway... had reunion dinner with the family just now.... as usual steamboat... Had a hearty dinner. :) Watched some lame movie at my uncle's house before coming back... so by the time it was already like 10.10... slack for a while and started cleaning... i took the 3 rooms and the living room while er-jie cleaned the kitchen...

CNY will start very soon... like another 5 mins or so... YEAH! Ok.. i dunno what am i so excited about... but i like visiting with my family... or rather.. the big family... cos it's the time everyone come tgt... ok... i need to bathe...

First day of 2008!

Early in the morning of the 1st day of 2008, let's bid goodbye to 2007 and say a big HI to 2008!! I hope 2008 is really going to be a better year myself and all the ppl ard me... in one way or the other...

The first to wake up in the crowd... one of the reason is it's really cold here.... amazed that i could make use of such small space to sleep... cos dun have pillow dun have blanket... it was freaking cold when i wanted to sleep... but thanks to zhiwen's maid who helped cover a towel over me... if not think i would be shivering... the wind was so strong i had to really cross my arms to keep it warm.

After my last blogging session... we were actually quite hungry and a few of us quite awake... just nice zhiwen's maid woke up so she helped us heat up the food... cool!!! Jiawei, joel and i started eating the [crees-p] wedges, chicken nuggets and chicken wings when the rest of the ppl were already fast asleep... talked a lot of rubbish... and i can't even rmb what we actually talked abt... i think some household lizard stuff.. then the tv characters and i dunno what... zixin and yongquan joined us after they finished watching alvin online... Then i think we so pig lah... cos we all went to sleep after eating.. including me! haha. just felt so tired... can't even rmb correctly what time exactly we all fell asleep.. only rmb we heard national anthem on tv. that was 6am. haha. So i actually slept from abt 6 to i think 9am? or earlier.. not very sure... dunno why i suddenly woke up also... but seeing everyone else still sound asleep... and i had nothing to do liao... so start typing this lah... haha.

I dun think 2007 was an extremely bad or extremely good year... there are times in the year that i enjoyed most while sometimes it could be the lowest point of my mood and feelings. Actually i believed there were more good things than bad things that happened to me throughout the year... i believed so cos i can't really rmb any dark periods other than the attachment period.. but of cos the school term occurring in first half of 2007 has the most crazy load of projects... and results were really up to standard...

Ok... most of the ppl are up already... going for breakfast soon.. MAC breakfast! haha. update again... :)

Last few days of 2007!!

I'm blogging at somebody else's house... shall not mention the name cos she will proud. lol!! =x Ok lah.. at Zhiwen's house... haha.



Preparing and waiting for the new year to come...another one and half hour to go... but time is passing quite slowly... meanwhile... update abt the weekend ba...



Sat went singing with von and yuhui.... chek last min pang seh.. haha... then von left early to meet her whoever lor.... so in the end yuhui and i sing until very shuang cos they nv chase us out.... i think suntec kbox got too many empty rooms and too little ppl go there liao. lol! So i'm going there again tmr with nyco ppl.. heex. but that's at least another half a $50 gone. And that kbox increased their tibits price to 6++... when the stuff are still the same!!!!! DOTX.



Then sunday was a day out to malaysia... 泗弯岛.. with my family minus my dad... my er-jiu and wife... and melody and sylvia... The day was SO HOT! The best part of the trip was really the lunch.. ate a total of like 3 lobsters! LOL! =x I think i ate the most lobsters lor... and we were so lucky... so coincidentally my er-jiu's boss went there also! And he actually paid for our meal! actually quite paiseh lah cos we all also dunno each other... and we only know when we wanted to pay after the meal... we ordered quite a lot lor... oyster omelet, kangkong, fried mee, steam lobster, butter lobster! yeah! (i forgot still have what le).. OH! and boar's meat too... really nice! hahaha.



Went ard some homes and some shops to purchase biscuits and then back to sg... rested and slacked ard... started raining very heavily... luckily it stopped when i wanted to go out... supposed to watch movie with minhui, zhiwen and joel at 8plus... but someone couldn't make it to that timing... so went to zhiwen's house first then looked for alternatives. which was a later show... so we still went to watch National Treasure... the four of us so funny lor... run here run there just to find food... in the end got into the cinema the movie just about to start. we skipped all the gv advertisements! haha!



Then I went home after that cos i have to work today while the 3 of them went back to zhiwen's house... the difference was... i took a cab while they wanted to be adventurous and walked back instead.... i was back abt 10mins while they only reached home at 3am. And still call me and say they reach already... so stupid right... haha!!!



And now i'm actually at zhiwen's house now... and it's like 4.45am now... i took like how many hours to blog? and i dun want to blog liao lor... dunno who rush me to faster blog finish... haha! Watched 2 HORROR movies after the countdown... er... i only watched one and half cos the 2nd one i watched halfway and fell asleep... and after the movie ended... i woke up on my own... haha! and wide awake now... waiting for the dawn to come... so that we can go for breakfast! hahah!!



aiya... dun want to blog liao lah... go home then blog... so ma fan lor... still ask me to upload the photos now... dotx. bye!!!!!
