Another week passed!!

Oh man.. it's again another week! haha.. i'm just too lazy i guess.. even thou i was rather free for the past week... i rather get more sleep.. haha.. how about sleeping for almost.. i said almost 12h for 2 consecutive days and still felt tired? =x

Anyway... what happened was... i went to esplanade library in search of books for my report... and then went for syco sectionals where hongqing and i were the only persons there.. while the other 2 were busy with i dunno what... and eventually we ran out of things to practise.. haha.. so we did our own things... and chatted for a while be4 the session ended..

Thurs... can't rmb what i did... think i was just at home erm... slacking lah... Ohoh!!! i know... i went to tamp... and got my sis and i 2 CDs... using her vouchers... i bought David Tao's Tai Mei Li and F.I.R's album... to think that i forgot... i just added them to my 'NEW' playlist.. eh... talk about the songs another time...

Then fri went studying with via at national lib... the study corner is really a cool place... erm.. nothing much for that day except for we went to Art friend first and i got myself some tools... and strings.. haha... now i have more strings for friendship bands!! =))

Sat... was a long long day... and i dunno how long i nv wake up so early liao lor... 7am leh!! went to MCO with via and yong hong in laoshi's car... after had mos at causeway point and chatted... then went nus to look for sis... my blur blur sis forgot that we are going for a concert... aiyo.. dunno tell her how many times liao lor... if not i wun make the effort to go nus after the tired morning also lor...

Ya.. so went to the concert featuring violinist Chan Yoong Han and erhuist Zhao Jian Hua... it's quite cool... but it might be cooler if they play a double concerto.. haha... okok... think too much liao... the concert is much of a fusion between oriental and western music ba... but i like the dance songs most... more lively mah... Then... so qiao~!! my violin teacher was sitting at the row behind me lor... and man.. he couldn't recognise me until i called him... dotx... sis said it's probably cos i was wearing contacts... haha... whatever... maybe next time i will consider learning from his son... (if i ever go and learn again..) i.e. the violinist i mentioned just now...

sun... 12 then wake up lor... Lol... then after lunch downstairs.. nua a while and went to jan's house.. to nua also.. with yushi lor... mahjong for a while... win a bit wor... haha... had pizza for dinner... very full lor!! then cabbed home ard 10 cos we were too lazy to walk across to the bus stop.. seems so far away... haha...

And i nua-ed for monday too!!! Lol... until sy that night... like also 12 then really woke up lor... and i still felt sleepy leh... weird lor... and tues had lessons till 1.. and met up with via to study at bedok lib... but i admit i was sleepy while reading the many many pages readings for dance lor... and i haven finish yet.. dotx.. it's just a little too much for one sitting... like after almost 3 hours lah.. but i'm a slow reader too.. so.. bleahs..

Anyway... ya... that's all.. tired... bye.. hopefully the next time i update is not one week later.. hahaha...

A Long long entry~!

Omg.. i din realise.. it's almost a week.. Again!! dotx... Can't say that i'm busy.... cos everyone knows that my sch life is slack!! haha.. but i've got my reasons lah.. haha.. reason 1: i got to do researches when i come online... and reason 2: i'm seldom online during the peak hours cos there's tv to catch! Healing hands 3 @ 8pm.. and Jiu Dian Feng Yun @ 9pm. Ya... and sometimes i will stay and watch Tian Ya Xia Yi @ 10pm.. plus if i miss the Miao Shou Ren Xin 3 @ 8pm... i will then watch the repeat at 11.40pm.. so u see... i'm more a tv person now! Haha.

Anyway will be getting busier now... even thou i only have 1 day of sch this week! Haix... really have a lot of researches to do.. and worst of all i have to visit different libraries to get the books... And!! I haven thought of what topic to do for the 2nd part of the history of music assignment.. And well... the music course has ended.. it means no more joyce starting from next week... it will be some male teaching history of dance! haha. Anyway... another 13 days to due of joyce's assignment... sickz. ok.. have to pia already...

Plus plus... Mkting presentation is on 31 aug.. which is next thurs.. i dunno.. but hopefully we are able to get everything done... cos we rarely meet and talk about it.. plus 2 grp members are involved in womad... which is rather tiring for them really... dun think they have much time lah... but perhaps we just have to do faster.! ok.. have to do the slides either tml or thurs...

And for hazel's essay... 2 weeks and 3 days to finish up too... decided the topic, but not really the scope cos it's too big a topic and there's many areas to explore.. been trying hard to look for all the materials... yes.. i found some.. but still clueless for some... if i can't find them... maybe i have to leave them out... sighx... ya.. so have to write out a draft before next lesson... which is 2 weeks later~! how nice... and how weird too... everything is like so rush!!! ok.. whatever.. i think i can do it lah..

Anyway.. on a lighter note.. i went to Batam over the last weekend.. like really finally!! And i enjoyed a lot... and thanks to my aunt and cousins.. they are like feeding us like pigs... haha... And total relaxation over the 2 days... we went quite early in the morning... reached there ard 11am of their time (they are an hour slower)... and went over to my cousin's reflexology shop and had a full body massage.. it was good... but a bit pain too cos she used a lot of force.. haha. Then back to aunt's house for lunch.. had crabs lah... then went to do some shopping at the new mall... 2 new wacoals from da-jie.. different colour of the same pattern.. heex.. bought quite a lot of things from the supermarket... of cos my fav wafer biscuits -- Tango Chocolate flavour! =))

Had seafood at night with meili-jie's family and ah-shui ge.. heex... the fish, and crabs again!! ya.. plus calamaris and prawns and kangkong.. a nice meal of cos! And later in the night when we get back to aunt's house... er-jie and i got to play dynasty warriors... eh.. ah-shui ge's PS2.. he's rich lah... he actually has the ddr mat.. and the guns for time crisis...! Next time go must play! we had quite little time so didn't play much.. since there were only the 4 of us (dad didn't go).. we stayed at aunt's house for the night... and i think sleeping on the insignificant mattress worsen the sprain of my waist.. so ya.. it has not recovered yet... sighx...

Then the next morning... woke up quite early for a sunday... i think is 8am their time. had goreng pisang for breakfast and we started playing again. since there was nothing to watch in the morning... played till it's time to move on... to our foot massage at the same place... cool... really... then it's soon lunch time again! Lunch at the place we visited a few times for its fish soup.. and calamari, samba fish head, fried chicken... And pls! Avocad (avocado juice) is a must drink when u are in batam! Ah-peng korkor and his family joined us and aunt and ah-shui ge for the lunch. and it's their treat... =)) Conclusion is we didn't pay for any of our meals there lah... except for some snacks we had while shopping... heex.

So that afternoon was shopping again... there wasn't anything much.. we didn't go to our favourite matahari departmental store... i dunno why... i still like going there.. but nonetheless... my mum bought me a pair of neckerman sandals!! Yeah... i was still thinking whether to buy it anot when my mum and sis insisted that i buy and wear that to sch... well.. fine then.. since someone is paying for me.. why not~!? but it's a long time since i wore a pair of sandals... so ya.. need time to get used to it again... anyway i like it! Neckerman! haha.. after that we went back aunt's house.. a bit of rest time... er-jie and i had our aftn nap... after watching some boring show on chn 8.. Yes. they receive sg chns very clearly.. even radio channels! since long time ago lah.. ah-shui ge has been listening to 93.3fm years ago.. way before he was married.. haha.. Ya.. So set off for the pier ard 5.. cos we booked the tixs for 6pm their time ferry.. and wanted to go there earlier so that we can shop and buy in the polo rafph lauren shop.. and guess what... er-jie bought me a polo skirt! Heex... it's nice lah... we bought a polo-tee for dad and da-jie bought one too.. by the time we reached harbour front after a one hour ride it was 8pm.. sg time.. cabbed home and had some dinner... had an rather early night lah..

Ok.. i must must must mention my little nephews and nieces!! They are just so so so cute... handsome and pretty! 5 of them currently... 2 nephews (both are meili-jie's) and 3 nieces (1 meili-jie's and 2 ah-peng korkor's) the youngest! only 7 months old.. she's really very cute and we predicted she will be pretty when she grows up..! And the cute little nephew -- pengpeng! he gets so happy when he hears 'chocolate'.. he's a chocolate lover too.. haha..too bad nv take photo of him..

MOn... no sch.. slacked a bit.. researched a bit.. and decided to clear my wardrobe... took out some clothes that 1. don't wear anymore, 2. cannot wear anymore. haha.. by the time i was very tired... but it was already 4plus i think... so i bathed... and decided to paint my toe nails.. with the nail stickers we bought back from korea.. has yet to use them... so ya.. i did my own nails!! it was successful until the last step of applying the top coat... didn't realise that the nailpolish wasn't dried yet... so the purple actually smurge over the flower stickers... dotx.. quite panicked lah.. cos mum is calling me for dinner... so hurriedly tried to clean the flowers and went to eat dinner first.. after dinner then apply the top coat and hurried off to sy..

My first combine for the coming concert.. was quite all right... but lele was still a bit lost.. hope can help her prac more on wed's sectionals.. and i came home with er-jie as usual on monday nights when she has her jap lesson and i have my sy pracs... Oh ya.. there will be NO sheng for this concert lah... so sad right... our 2 sheng players are all preparing for major exams i think... and i dunno... we'll see how the tuning goes..

And today (tues)!! this morning.. joyce was abt 30 mins late lah.. dunno why.. but ya... we sat at the canteen... bored.. so had our last lesson with joyce.. think i will miss the music lessons.. and the practical lessons... cos music is still what i love and i'm happy to learn them!! After lessons had lunch in sch.. quite sianx thou... only a few classmates stayed for hazel's class.. some were absent and the rest had womad stuff to attend to.. the class is pathetically small today lah.. class ended off at 4 and i made my way to town.. can u imagine.. for 2 hours.. i only shopped in wisma?? haha... Ya.. i visited all my favourite shops there lah.. i happily bought a brown top from U2 and after dad and mum came.... i happily bought an OP skirt!! I eyed on that skirt be4 they came lah... and i thought mum would buy it... anyway she did offer.. but i said i'll pay.. maybe cos she said i looked nice in it.. lol! i'm easy to please! haha.. and so i paid for it myself lah...

Anyway dined with the family @ Crystal Jade (jiangnan xiao chi) @ taka.. jason joined us... the food is really nice..! but they are not cheap.. it's supposedly an eat-out for my 2 sister's birthday which has already past long ago.. ok.. not long ago but like 5aug and 14aug.. ya.. and it was er-jie's treat lah.. thanks!!! I always enjoy times with my family cos nowadays when everyone is busy we dun really sit down and have dinner as frequently as before.. esp. when i was still working at Samsonite. and er-jie is always so busy... plus everyone has their own activities on diff nights.. that's why... but family is still the best! =))

Ok.. going off for now... well.. i missed tues' healing hands just cos i wanted to update lah.. so i had to catch it tml noon.. that's all until the next update! i dunno when lah.. i'm must lazier to update nowadays... =P

Almost a week..

Almost a week since i last blogged... wasn't feeling exactly well... and been a bit busy... either to school or going out for my own stuff lor...

As mentioned... i was having an ache... well still having it now.. already seen a sinseh last fri... and to my horror it was really painful the next day.. eh... but my mum says it's a norm.. so fine... but after almost a week... i'm still suffering lor... just not as bad lah... i think it's really the swim that worsen it... but i feel nothing during the swim leh.. weird... anyway... whatever lah.. hopefully after all the yoko-yoko i apply... it will recover soon.. haha.

Hmm... i think it's a good news.. i'm confirm going batam this weekend!! haha.. ya.. like finally.. if u are thinking.. again~!? then u are wrong.. cos we didn't go the last time i mentioned due to some misplanning... so ya.. after much confirmation.. we are going this time! but dad will not be going lah... he just didn't like it... after all.. there's nothing much for him to shop too... unlike us? haha.. Yupx. so i'll be away on sat and sun!! So.. refrain from calling and sms-ing on the 2 days unless u want to pay international charge kae! =) Oh.. or maybe i wun bring my phone.. well.. we'll see.

Anyway... just back from sy sectionals not long ago... dunno why.. but i always look forward to sy... and the feeling for combine and sectionals is just so different.. the atmosphere, the people.. actually everything except for the pieces.. felt more relax at sectionals... even when we combine with erhu... it's much better sitting in the orchestra.. dun ask me why.. BUT i must still say that syco is fun... like last sun we went to botanic garden and helped out.. we had quite a lot of fun there.. :) And listening to performance there is cool... just like ballet under the stars.. everyone just sit on the grass and watch... but it was a rather big event that day.. one of the 10th anni prog.. and MP Mr Raymond Lim was the GoH... and i got to shake his hands. haha.. anyway he think he's a nice person... cos he's the MP for Fengshan GRC.. too bad my block becomes part of Kampong chai chee now.. weird lah..!

Later in the evening after everything ended... via and i took laoshi's car back to kallang... by the time it was already 8pm.. and i was supposed to go uncle yeo's house for the bbq... so i suggested cab.. and i sent via to eunos mrt first before proceeding to frankel ave... hmm... quite enjoyed the night too... xiaoting jie-jie's husband did all the bbq-ing and it's really nice! how cool... next time must find someone who knows how to cook also.. haha.. ok.. out-of-point. Anyway xt has already flew back to us on monday... and she will only be coming back in dec... for the banquet... and later i dunno what..

Hmm.. i think nothing else... i'm tired... bye..

National day week

I'm back again! =))

That's day was really too tired le... anyway.. again.. weekends are coming lah.. haha... what a fast week... monday only went sch for 1 lesson... michele's arts management lesson.. then stayed back a while to discuss our marketing stuff... then came home...

Tues however.. i got to meet up with the cogang again!! =)) i was damn early after lessons lah... anyway lessons were rather relaxing on tues... cos joyce released us like an hour earlier cos she has to rush off to somewhere else... so we actually went to PS to have lunch... but omg... the place is so so crowded... we couldn't find a place that the class can sit tgt... so in the end the grp was split... and i had mos burger with caiwen and ning... And had Academic Writing (AW) class... quite a relaxed lesson too... just shared our views and our topics...

So ya... after lessons i went down to suntec to meet qin first... we were bored lah... so look for a place to sit and talk... till jan came and we went down to nydc... so dotx lah... first they dun let us put reservations... then they dun let us go in unless at 75% of the ppl is here... so stupid lor... so we waited for the others to come... eventually everyone was late... and finally we could go in and take a seat... by that time very hungry liao... Had spag for main course and 2x chocolate cheesecake for dessert... :)) After staying there for a while and settling the bills and stuff... we walked over to marina sq... to catch the fireworks... hmm... quite all right lah... =)

And ytd!! It was National Day!! Went to Er-jiu's house at 11+ in the morning... and stayed there till 9pm... quite an enjoyable day... seeing my cousins and all... i brought a box of chocolates that i bought from The Cocoa Tree a day earlier there too... and it was polished off by my young cousins in the end... glad that they liked it... next time i will buy a bigger box there.. haha.. =) And felt so cheated lah... thou er-jiu's house is really near to the stadium... but we couldn't see anything cos there's another block right in front that blocks everything! Dotx... luckily i watched the preview. haha.. =x But hey.. i missed all the national day songs that we used to sing in the past lah... so sad they changed everything and even used the children's day song as one of them starting a few years ago and this year even changed the melody a bit.. dotx..

This morning went swimming.. quite happy... but something's not right lah.. i'm like having a very bad sore on my back waist area... for days?! oh man.. and it's killing me today... can't even bend down properly.. haix... anyways.. that's all.. tml sch!!!

Weekends with nusco peeps..

Yaya... it's time to update cos i just have so many things to say!!! bear with me... =P

So... after my entry on sat... i actually went down to NUS with my sis... for the welcome tea... for the freshies of cos... but well... obviously i'm not one of them... however i wished i could lah... well.. it's all right u know.. i can continue to be the guest player and well.. enjoy every moment... i think it's kinda better to be a full member lah.. =x So when eric gave me a form to fill in... i didn't want to... and in the end the form was gone to i dunno where.. haha..

The event ended quite early.. and all the freshies left lah... and all left were members... and it was like ard 5pm.. the rest of us (ard 12ppl) were just sitting outside auditorium talking away... and later decide where to go... initially wanted to go watch fireworks.. but a lot of them didn't want to... so in the end we went jiahui's house to play! heex... It's just amazing how the whole grp of ppl can play A game thru the night on the Xbox lah... it's some racing game... but it's really nice to play lah... if not how we play from the like 7 to 11?? haha... And surprisingly we took mrt back lor... from like Boonlay~!? HAha... dunno if it's the last train... by the time we reached home walking back from bedok mrt.. it's already 12+ going to 1...

Then sunday... as i mentioned... it's so called the lim family gathering... erm.. it wasn't as bad lah... simply cos not everyone was there... and i think they can't be bothered also lah... the only person who asked what course i'm taking and blah blah blah was Qi-shen (7th aunt-in-law).. i think the other ppl know nuts... well.. it's ok lah.. save my energy from explaining as well.. Ok.. i didn't stay for dinner... went off 3+ to meet the nusco ppl (again) to watch hsinghai concert tgt at SCH... it's like free-seating... and due to the preferences in the seatings... i ended up sitting with suyi only cos the others didn't want to come up and join us.. dotx... we got a better view up there lah.. After concert went to eat at Maxwell market with them... and home sweet home after that...

About the concert itself.. it wasn't really a good concert... at least not up to my expectations... it's like the orchestra is not really familiar with the songs and scores... i expected better standard from them lah... some parts were really obvious lah.. which is bad... =x well.. i got to reconsider for their future performances... And my personal opinion... i just think that the dizi soloist depended too much on her scores... i mean if u are the soloist.... you should be more or less familiar with the whole concerto... but from what i saw was.. she was looking down at her scores throughout the whole song... i dun even rmb seeing her lifting up her head once.. the scores for a soloist is only for some instances that the soloist forgets that part or to make sure that everything is right... but not like still playing off the notes... and what for right?? even when it's the main melody.. i saw her looking at the scores instead of presenting it to the audience... which is not so good too.. :(

Anyway... i'm too tired to continue now... my eyes are going to close any moment... so bye..! =)

2nd week of school...

Hmm.. i'm quite bored now... so shall update.. and i'm like in er-jie's office now.. haha.. waiting for her to finish her work... to go to nus.. for their welcome tea.. haha..

Ya... It's august liao!!! so fast lor... and it's already 2 weeks since sch started... cool? maybe.. but it means that i have to start on all my assignments too... and now i have like exactly one month to finish the history of music assignment... sounds long? not when i dun even know where to start... dotx... shall consult other ppl... =x

Anyway.. last week was a rather relaxing week lah... firstly only 2 days of sch.. eh... no.. 1 and a half. haha.. but there's make-up lesson next week for the session we missed on fri... for principles of arts management.. michele is strict lor... but i think that's like one of the core areas that we have to take care of... and the assignment for that module is not easy too... sighx...
then the rest of the week.. nothing much... for sch... haha.

Be4 lessons on thurs... a few of us actually caught a movie at PS... 'Click'... this guy has the universal control in his hands and he can do whatever he wants... some parts are damn funny lah... aiya.. it's supposed to be a comedy... but anyway... i cried lah!! dotx... why? i wun say... haha... go and watch it urself lah... it's nice lah... :))

Oh... there's SY sectionals on wed... and wow... i should have gone to SCH last sunday man... the exhibitions were wonderful... in the concourse there's like this super big erhu and super big ruan... and super big dizi across the fountain... cool right... and wed was actually the last day of the event and we attended this short talk by 2 ppl whom i believed are some masters... and coincidentally they are talking about erhu... so most of us stayed to listen as we were told to do so... including lin laoshi.. it was already half pass 7 when we started sectionals... heex.. and last half hour the erhus came over to join us (gaohu and zhonghu) to combine for chu ye xiao chang... oh ya... i have another song to play for Beautiful sunday! hahaha... And well... i was the one that didn't come out most of the time.. quite screwed.. i also dunno why.. but next time wun le!! =)

Fri.. went to SCH again... to watch the performance of Gamelan asmaradana... think it's like the first time there for a lot of them... it's only normal cos it's more of a place for CO ppl... and i've been going there since it reopened in 2001.. anyway about the concert.. it was quite cool lah.. first time watching such concert... esp. after we were allowed to try out gamelan in the sch's gamelan room... and i know how to play!!! haha... thanks to my music background of course.. =) but becos gamelan doesn't have a conductor.. it's quite amazing how they start and stop... but the not-so-cool part is that we have a assignment for history of music based on that performance too... dotx... why our lecturer isn't a CO person.. haha.. ok lah.. just joking... it's good to be exposed to other kinds of music too... and i must say that joyce is a learned person in this area.. so envious that she has a whole collection of different kinds of music...

And after the concert... most of the class went for the WOMAD recce... while me.. went to look for er-jie at her office... spent an hour waiting for her to finish her work... and then went for dinner at maxwell market... then went to Party World ktv... with her bf and her bf's friend.. sing till 12am like that... then cabbed home lor... cool cool... i love to sing!! hahaha...

Oh.. did i mention that i finally went back to NY to collect my cert~?! haha... ya.. finally.. i saw the list most of my class ppl had already collected theirs... aiya... ok lah... my cert is not very ugly lah... at least i see a full cert. haix.. whatever. haha. Then i saw my juniors there... siuhon, minghao and julian... and i sat down and chatted with them for a while.. they are still the funny bunch of ppl i knew... haha... esp. the first 2.. haven seen them for quite some time.. then they asked me to go take a look at CO... haha.. i didn't... later i disappoint myself.. =x heard from junru that always very few ppl one lor... siuhon also said anticipated less than 10 ppl at practice.. dotx.. like that how leh?? dunno next year got enough ppl to go for syf anot... anyway it's not within my ability lah... too bad...

Finally it's weekends again!! Tmr going to SCH again! Haha.. to watch Hsinghai concert.. and next week is also a short week.. cos of national day!! monday make-up lesson from 1130 to 130... then.. tues lessons as usual lah... going to meet the girls at night and enjoy fireworks... must rmb to bring cam.. haha... then wed is national day.. thurs is sch founder's day.. so no sch too.. and fri lessons... good yea.. :))

After i've typed for so long... sis haven finish her stuff yet lah... sianx... dun type le.. paiseh the things are not quite in order.. haha... dun get confused and dun come after me.. lol... erm.. u think i care? bleahx~ byebye.

Slack~?! & A video...

I'm like waiting for the video to be uploaded onto my photobucket site... and it's taking a hell lot of time!! Another 20min to go... and it started like at least 15min ago... I'm bored.. haha.. Ok.. hopefully by the time i finished typing this... the video will be ready and i can share with everyone.. =))

So ytd... i.e mon... was practically slacking in the morning... and afternoon i finally decided to do something constructive... i.e to start my research for my assignments... i ought to start doing them now since all are due almost the same time.. right.. Ya.. found the one and only book useful to my topic at bdk lib... i ought to go down to national lib one day.. haha..

Then today.. only went school for 1 lesson... history of music... hmm.. actually it's quite interesting cos joyce talked about East Asia music... and mainly on chinese music... which is what i'm more familiar with! It's weird why my classmates started laughing at the music played to us... firstly i dun think it's funny... secondly i dun think it's appreciating the music... Sorry but i dun quite like the responses... But.. i'm not offended.. dun worry.. cos like joyce mentioned... 'when u dislike something.. it doesn't mean that it's not good.' so i'm still happy cos i find it good! Haha.. anyway maybe it's not such a bad thing after all cos no one made a sound when joyce started playing cds of jap traditional music... it's really very ritual kind.... and seriously.. it's too slow for me!

After school.. i came home.. and guess what!! i slacked!! HAha.. yes... i know... i think sch hours should be longer... and more school days!! i'm weird i know... who in the world wants more school right.. but right now it's doesn't really feel like school life at all... i thought i'm a full time student... but i feel more like a part time student and a full time slacker now. haha. cos.. no classes tml! =P

All right.. for the video now!! =)) It's actually the fireworks i recorded during NDP preview last sat.. eh.. quite short lah.. cos the first few moments i was busy snapping pictures... and caught a few nice ones be4 this 1+min long video.. so enjoy lor.. Anyway for better viewing pleasure... please turn up the volume of ur speaker so that u can hear the background music.. and pls stop my blog music first. haha.. if not later u tot it's jj's bu si zhi shen syncronising with the fireworks... well.. it doesn't go tgt at all lah.. so ya.. so what i say to find more surprises! =)
