Was quite surprised that i could wake up so early and reach school early! lol. I reached at like 7.40am. Yeah! All ready for the nature walk. :)

The starting point... the other side also very nice wor.. next time want to explore the other side too. Started from here. and a game to play on the way. each student was given half a map. of odd cutting edge.. so they have to find the other half. and they would be partners along the way. have to get to know each other. (i was excluded cos there were odd numbers. lol. heng ah. =x)


The first section... Flora walk. quite a number of different flowers along the 2 sides. unique flowers.


Then Alexandra Arch (i think). Hee. it's just a overhead bridge actually... but a beautified one... and quite nice i feel. Towards the forest walk.

Was super tired and warm after finishing it. slept on the way back to school. lol!


high-tea with jamie and caiwen after a short meeting at nat lib with sijia. after lunch she went off for her thai lesson. the 3 of us were trying to find a place at raffles city to sit down and discuss further. Decided to go Canele cos the Macarons look super tempting.

So we bought 2 each and went inside. funny lor. we forgot that we will have to pay the 10% SVC and GST also.. lol. But they were really nice!! :)

Didn't come home too late cos i was really tired. i fell during the meeting and deep asleep on the train lor. power right. But i was in a super good mood ytd night. cos of the beautiful sight i saw.


Saw this when i was coming home. Sky colour very nice. so i shot.


After that my mum said the sky very red so i went to see and got a even nicer sunset picture. It's really beautiful! I went up to the 15th floor corridor to take this... and while going up i was wishing for a rainbow and tada!!!


Got rainbow!!! Big and beautiful!! :))) it actually stretched across my block... so first one was taken upstairs on my living room side... and the second one was taken from my kitchen. Damn pretty. Supposedly there were 2.. but the other one kinda faded already. can try to spot on first picture.

Feels like a dream come true! :)

Aiyo.. i like very free like that... At work now lor.. =x

How i wished i dun have to work and will have all the time at home. HAIS. For studies (intern) and for money (part-time)... Have to do it lah... Well.. Just bear with it for 1 more month and i'm off! Must always rmb that to motivate myself.

Sometimes i do feel that i deserve what i'm facing now... if i've started out earlier... I might be better off now. :( And i chose to join sy also... so i have to bear with it too... Plus this year they decided it's still better to have sectionals every week. thus the more busy schedule than last year. hee. but it's better too.. at least for my section. :)

And then i still have the free time (i dunno where that free time come from.. usually during work =x) to organise gathering! lol. Some relaxing time is good still. But i think i relaxed too much over the last week.. these few days have to do something to compensate. hee.

Projects... assignment... Thesis... Report! Bye. Lunching soon. :)

OMG!

Dun be alarm... that's my arm/shoulder being bitten my mosquito(es) last night while i was sleeping... I happened to not cover my blanket ytd. and dotx. this was what happened. Damn scary right... there's like about 20 of them!!! Some are more to the top so couldn't be seen.. Some are smaller... so can't be seen in the picture... and there are 3 more on my elbow.. too far to be taken together. Crazy. No wonder i felt itch and i can feel that i was scratching myself in the sleep...

I woke up knowing that i have some bites.. so i showed to my sis.. she 'wah' when she saw and said it was bad... i went to look into the mirror and 'wah' even louder... i didn't know it was THAT bad... all red and swollen... -.- wah liao.. somemore the 2 sisters complained they got 2 bites each.. after they saw mine... they nv complain liao. lol!

还是很痒!!!! Argh. go and sleep le. rmb my blanket tonight.. just in case.

Draft 2 deadline

Phew.. like finally.. but i think i like forgot something. =x But hopefully this one will be better than the last.

But then... i did my best liao... although i kinda slacked the afternoon away by going ktv with sis. lol! Am i crazy or what?! But maybe i just need a little relaxation time and some 发泄 time too... And i feel really good after that man.. just that at the same time i felt very tired too.... i dun think i dare to go back and see what i typed just now. hahaha! I like falling asleep... But then... i think over the sleepy time already... so i'm like awake now.. -.-

Anyway i nv thought i could type such a long document. up to date it's like 31 pages!!!!! That's including some annex and the cover page and contents page.. blah blah blah.. but still... that's crazy enough for me. now it's like what 7000+ words. faints. think i still have lots more to type... still got one section. :)

Ytd i was shocked that i stayed up till 4am. Actually i wasn't really tired... just that i'm afraid either of my family members will wake up and find me still typing away in the living room. so i went to sleep. actually i think i fell asleep quite fast. =x

Tmr's a day to enjoy a bit too... :) Early celebration for dad's bday. Yeah! Anyway it really feels damn good to be able to wake up late.. i can't wait for my holidays to come! lol.

Allure 2009

Some backlogged events not updated. =x

Last Sat went to watch nusco concert with er-jie.. wasn't quite the original plan... haha. cos i wanted to go to eawards party instead... but the weekend before that.. huiyan asked if we want the 2 tickets she had left... so we went lor..

But well... the concert turned out to be better than i expected.. haha. i feel that the audience rate of a concert really depends on repertoires played.. and this concert is pretty much well received. :) i think i still prefer traditional repertoires. haha! So sometimes orchestra should not try to be funny to play some dunno what songs. =x

For nusco, i haven't been sitting downstage for a long time... like 4 years?! lol! mei xiang dao i also perform with them for so many years liao. and it really feels a bit different... and i guess it will be the same in future when i stop going to sy ba.. And actually i feel prouder on stage. haha! But whatever lah... quite lucky i didn't join them this year... really busy until i want to die liao.. still want to take saturday away meh... not like my saturdays are free too lah. hais.

Anyway... weikang was on stage... much to our surprise... haha! We were sitting quite in front... (behind Mr. Phoon and the pianist's family). haha. so we managed to catch his attention when they just came out... and we were gesturing to each other like... why i not performing and blah blah blah.

The first repertoire, which was composed by Mr. Phoon, was a commissioned piece by nus. erm... not really a bad piece.. but it's the theme kept on repeating... and they played it like twice.. the opening repertoire and the encore piece... -.- so i kinda got the tune stuck in my head for the rest of the night. haha!

Pipa solo was good too... considered the fact her hand/arm was injured some time ago... it's commentable. :) And i think huiyan is getting used to it... or even... liking the feeling of being a soloist. haha!! Somehow i think she played this better than cao yuan... good for her. Jia you ba. :)

Fei Tian was still kinda scary.. lol!!! But better than the last time we heard lah... lol. And it's like one of my fav songs... haven't heard it 'live' for a long time. yea...

Tian shan was ok too... except for a few notes which went off a bit... but other than that it was an enjoyable song to listen to... i think she sure will have chances to solo again... perhaps on a bigger scale.. then plus the good piano accompaniment... not bad leh!

Last repertoire was Yellow River. Omg. if i were the soloist i would have been really nervous.. cos EVERYONE can see my hands through the projector. First time i see something like that. they actually put a dv beside the piano to capture the soloist's hands onto the projector. it's like damn cool. but quite scary too. haha. some of the chords he might have gotten wrongly... but i think overall it's still a very good performance.

And that night we had very very good audiences!!! No one clapped before the song ends. I was so pleased... hahaha... And this shows that almost all or most are music veteran... and so they know... the concerto hasn't ended yet. I love this kinda audiences because they dun disturb the musician. if someone clapped. i think i will roll my eyes. lol.

After that... stayed a while to talk to some nusco peeps... well... no more supper cos concert ended like 10+pm. Missed the days which we have the concert in the early evening... Better! dunno why they wanna change. sians...

But if there's the time and chance... i think i want to go back there to play again. i mean... it's where i gain a lot of sight reading experience afterall.. and through the concerts which feature very traditional CO songs... i've learnt to like them too... rather than these really new ones. =x So i dun really mind. somemore the ppl there are like... also know for abt 5 years liao... why not? if not enough erhu ppl next time.. can find me. haha!

Anyway. That's all. Thesis is going on well... i hope. =x

what a start

In a bad mood... cos this morning... 3 suay things have already happened on me..

First... i woke up late. So i had to rush....
Then... i couldn't get up TWO 67s cos there are just ppl who doesn't want to move back... So in the end i got to take a train. (not to mention i'm a bit late for work)
Third... I realised i forgot to bring my office door pass. -.-

What a start to a day... i was angry cos 67 usually empties up at the mrt station. And i feel injustice to have to change my routine because of some selfish ppl who didn't want to make more space for other commuters. they probably didn't want to move in cos afterall they are alighting soon. but hey! there's other ppl who wants to take the bus badly so dun be such a bitch can. Argh.

But was lucky that i got a seat in the train anyway... not quite crowded.. and especially many alighted at bugis with me. sian-ed.

WAH!!! Damn sian to start a day like that right! :(
Hope it will not be any worse cos i'm running to a lot of places today.

Need to pick myself up.

Think i lose focus in some things this past week... but i will quickly get it back..

Felt very guilty not being able to do what i promised my supervisor... supposed to meet her today... but my stuff wasn't complete so i dun want to waste her time... so i told her i'm not ready to meet her today. HAIX. But at least it's better than going to see her with the same things from last session. *shakes head*

SYCO prac was like... ok lah... but then i think i'm like the lousiest inside liao. lol! and i'm like the only person who haven't gone for any erhu lessons for such a long time. Like what 4 of them actually applied for concerto listening?!?! that has never happened in gaohu section. lol. i think cos last time we all too lousy le... and not ambitious too. But well.. It means that i have to practise harder!!! haiya.. not where got time... after i grad ba... sure more time than the rest. haha. and by then i think i can start taking up lessons again. "It's not whether i CAN or not... it's whether i WANT or not. If i WANT, i CAN!" :)

Anyways... to my beloveds... i posted on the cogang blog and no one commented!!! sad.

Well.. back to work for a while before i knock off. sighs.

Tiring Work and Studies and What-not.

Weekend was like tiring... actually everyday is tiring.. haha!

But then again... i chose this route... so i guess i have to live with it for another 2 more months! If u still dunno how busy i am... you should.. at least for this month....

On top of that i still have 1 biz plan project, 1 arts policy project, 2 biz plan essays, 1 IBL logbook and report, and 1 freaking thesis. I think i'm crazy to give myself this amount of workload. I wonder if i can ever finish them. But dun worry... i will not do what the ntu student did... i'm not that brave.

Like crazy... been the last to return home every night lately. actually it's VERY sian... Saturdays are the only days which i have a little free time for other things... well.. Other than the project meetings lah... But even sat also cannot stay at home and sleep leh! haix. A sad thing to say lor.. Haven't had a good sleep for a long time. :( I want to go back to my 宅女 life!!!!! I mean like seriously. I love that kinda life man.

Anyway... Saturday was Appreciation Lunch @ FCC. In the via didn't go cos she sick. And then i was late. causing jason, shafiq, reena and singling to be late too! hahahaha! so when we reached there.. MP already speaking to the CO. lol. We didn't go in lah... waited and waited... Reena wanted to go KFC buy drink so we went down... in the end when we go up... they started eating le! -.-

Actually also did nothing much there... just eat eat... talk talk and watch some parts of the concert dvd. Saw some long-time-nv-see ppl. Zixin!! hahaha.. Ok lah.. actually it's all the mco ppl. haha.

Then after that went down to city hall for project meeting... waited a while for the rest to come.. was too early. haha. Spend super long time.. sometimes talking abt some rubbish and sometimes some thesis stuff and blah blah blah. Then went home after having dinner at Kenny Rogers with liyana and jamie. :)

Sunday was another workday at S... and met the Royal Family for dinner.. supposedly at Cathay's Astons but went to Pasta Cafe at Ngee Ann City instead... cos raining... well... we can always go there again next time. Went on the Coffee Club for cakes. Only yuhui and i ate cos for her bday mah.... Haha!

After that!! han and jiale went off le... So yuhui and i actually accompanied Von to do her hair extension... Until i want to fall asleep le... Then i thought why am i wasting time there instead of going home to do my thesis huh?! But in the end it's like.. she'd probably say it's the last time we see her for at least the next few months.... so whatever lah. But i thought she will be more considerate. haha! Fat hope. =x Anyway she flying back le lah...

Monday is as usual... no need to say much le. bye.

Call in!!

Woah... Didn't expect myself to call in to fm933 during jiafa's program. Haha! I was just trying my luck. But i think i called too early liao.. Cos i wasn't on air. It was recorded and then broadcasted! Lol. But anyways not bad lah:) hee. Omg. I actually said my sec school name wrongly! Peng.. If u didn't catch it.. Too bad. I dedicated whichever song to my beloveds cogang and syco peeps. Lol. Wanted to dedicate to more ppl but I was a bit nervous. So i didn't really know what to say except for that. Plus i even say the full name of sac wrongly. What u think? Lol.

Crunch Dark Stixx

Bought this when i went to Cold Storage after lunch. It looks appetizing but there wasn't any price tag to it. (not at the shelf too). But i still bought it... and guess what? It's freaking $4.50! lol.


Ok.. fine. i tried one just now.. luckily it's nice. hahaha! But a bit small to start with lah... and that is like 90calories? it's equal to a Uncle Toby or Quaker (dunno if i spelt correctly) bar. But much smaller.

Change of blogskin! (finally)

Hohoho!! I changed my blogskin!!! Like after 2 years and 1month plus! Omg.. i can't the laziness in me finally went away for a while and i created a new skin. HAHAHA!



Anyway.. as can see... the skin is like filled with pet society characters.... and most of them... my own xiaoblue. lol! I find it quite interesting to have them in different outfits.... and decided to put some of xiaoblue's good friends inside too. got 2 elebbit cos she got change clothes... the others nv. lol!

Let me be childish for a while... until i have more time after i graduate. Haha! What a scary thought of graduating... sighs.

Got to get back to my thesis draft already! bye.

Irresponsible classmate.

Was rather pissed with a classmate today.

Last thurs. the classmate asked me to help her buy a course kit for thurs class.. so ok.. since i was in school i just went up to the lib to ask. But the person actually already returned the original copy... so no choice. In between, she called me on tues to ask if i got bring my copy to school. i said i didn't but i can help her on thurs. Today... I was kind enough to bring my course kit for this mod to help her go to the photocopy lady to make a copy for her.. collect and everything. And bring it to class for her. In the end she didn't come! Cos of that i have to bring both the copies home! Note: I've nv brought the whole course kit to class before cos there's no need to. And i brought it to school today becos of her and this is the kind of shit i get. like WTH.

HELLO?! I already asked you this morning whether u are coming to class or not. if u are not then say so lah!! You think i really care whether you got come or not meh? We are not close friends and I'm not your whoever! i dun have the obligation to do all these for you, you know!? Why should i be taken for granted?! OH well.. i forgot. You were NEVER responsible. how could i be so stupid to be fooled? Seriously.. she better pay me back man. WAH LIAO. Damn angry leh. somemore my bag not very light lor. i think she should have just exited at level 2 and stop giving problems to the rest of the ppl in class.

ARGH. I know this is a very small incident. I'm not trying to be mean here but this person has not been the best classmate around. Best at complaints. best at talking loudly. best in shirking responsibility. worst in doing projects. (ok. maybe not the worst. but towards there) I've been in the same grp as her once. and that's it man. Hate people who can't keep their promises. At least when i nv make any promises cos i dunno if i can fulfill it. Dun tell me craps like 'promises are meant to be broken'.

Oh! and she didn't even bother to inform or apologise or whatever when she 'decided' not to come! What kind of person is this? Even if u are in a hurry or some emergency. It's basic courtesy! so i'm not bothered to msg or call her either.

Warming warning.

Came across this poster as i was doing some research online... it's one of the global warming poster that one will really take note i think... first.. it has a ice-cream cone. and the ice-cream scoop is the Earth. It is easy to relate. The Earth is like melting away... and sad to say, it can't be reversed. But i thought the 'Warming' and 'Warning' below can be a bit larger. Well.. good for awareness anyhows. hopefully it does have some impact. Especially nowadays it's getter hotter and hotter outside. Plus the forest fires, plus the heat waves, the snow storms at the wrong timings, etc.

Seafood trip to si wan, pengerang.

Shall update on my trip to Pengerang last sun. Yeah. We arranged to meet at 8.30am at changi ferry terminal... to our surprise.. everyone was on time! Wah... but then 姨丈 forgot something and had to go back for a while... so we waited lor.. ok lah.. not too bad. cos have to wait for the boat also.


On the boat going there. Er-jie's not in the pict and San-jiu was standing on the deck. But anyways we couldn't all take a boat tgt. 4 of us had to take another boat cos each can only take up to 13 passengers.

We actually went to our great-grand father's tomb which was there for like more than 50 years. It was quite an impromptu decision cos the adults realised that most of us haven't been there before. So we had a super early qing ming. ya.

It was freaking hot ok. No shads at all... But anyways... it was still quite fun. should have brought some sun block thou. =P Then we just walked ard and headed for lunch... :)

Nice!!! :) We had some wild boar meat too.. buttered calamari, baby sotong, kangkong and super nice steamed fish! i think that's all? but damn a lot liao.. somemore the people got wrong order and gave us another plate of the buttered lobster. we didn't know.. just eat.. until the adults ask. haha! A really fulfilling lunch i would say. hee.

Then walked around to get some biscuits... the usual ones actually...


Our last stop before coming back to Sg. Went to the fellow older generation Chua's alma mater... And we decided to take a 'class photo' there. hahaha!

Fell asleep on the way back to Sg. Too warm and tired. After that got home.. bathed and went to sleep! Cos tired lah. the night before only had 3h sleep. hee. anyway also dun need to eat dinner le.. so nvm lor. slept for ard 3h ba... woke up just in time to watch Millionaire Star. haha.

Yeap.. that's all... really had a great day with the cozzies... too bad ah shan didn't go -.- She's supposed to reserve the day for us. hahah! hopefully we will go tgt again. And jiaxun going back to sydney to study le.

It's Vday again.

Yeah... extra cash in march. lol! Thanks to the government. =P Thou not a lot... but good enough to cheer ppl up. (except those who are anti-gstoffset). Dun be surprise but there are ppl who doesn't care abt it cos they are either freaking rich already... or they just can't be bothered with the govt. haix. Then it's quite good for the society too cos it will be donated then (hopefully).

Well... I'm happy with it! :)))

Anyway... Happy Belated Valentine's Day! :) Spent my day sleeping at home... and running some errands and then prepare food for friends coming over and entertain them when they come. haha! Supposedly wanted a singles party.... but turned out to be not-so-single cos got a couple... I feel kinda bad to not include them... so i still asked in the end. haha!

As usual... nobody came on time. lol! so i kinda took my own sweet time too. :) and everyone finally decided to eat like ard 7+pm. haha! so the rest weren't so late too... latest was xiangle.. 1st runner up was sylvia. haha. the rest were already far earlier than them. we were just a bit curious where xiangle went before he came. haha. we were giving some rubbish guess cos he came at like 10pm?! hee... but still managed to get a picture taken with everyone inside.

Hope they enjoyed. That's all. :) Going off soon. Tmr is outing with the cozzies.... YEAH! Long since we last went out playing tgt. haha. Update again soon. No pictures yet cos i can't find my cable. and tired liao. =x

Oh... just thought of my vdays in SAC! ohmygod... what good memories. really love those girls in sac. miss my classmates... friends... co mates... all! and miss the chocolates and candies too. hee. ok.. that's not the point. Been missing that kind of atmosphere ever since i left the school. hmm... things to reminiscence... :)

This week....

This whole week is like work and work and more work. and not a day i return before 10pm. LOL! Oh! Ytd (thurs) i got home like 2-5min before 10pm. Counted? =x

And today (fri) is the only day i woke up late!!! But still got to work -.- Cannot blame anyone.. no money to spend liao... must do some work then can. haha!

But actually work is rather fun this week... Be it in school or outside.. not bad..

School was not bad too lah. lol. at least another thing done. actually i a bit shocked that i could do it.. so i was feeling over the moon for a while after the presentation on thurs. HAHA!

Before that at work in school. colleagues asked me to play for them -.- was not prepared to do so... but i did. wah. haha. good thing abt the ppl in school. they super funny too. haha!

SYCO finally started and that kinda explain my late returns too... Not bad i will say. but it's the first time gaohu has so many guys!!! omg. only 2 girls now. unless the other one is joining. but somehow i think i'm the weakest for this year. sadz. Have to really practise practise... but heng thing is i can like listen to what the person beside is playing and play tgt even though i dunno what's the note. =x

Wondering how long i can tahan this kinda life. But anyways... school is like left with slightly more than 2 months. How scary!!! My thesis like what? only 1 chapter out of 4 done? *yawns*

Weekend update

A relief that i handed in the first draft already. BUT a bit worried also lah.. cos i didn't think i do well for it. =x Not enough information for the milestone part. Haix!! But nvm.. still got second draft and final submission! Jia you ba. Next draft in slightly more than 1 month. tsk tsk.

Anyway.. what's more impt is i have a presentation coming THURS! And i haven't prepared ANYTHING yet. I think what is wrong with singaporean students is that we are so used to having a fixed template to do everything.. guidelines to tell you what to do and where to focus on... when we get this kinda free-to-do-anything assignment.. it's a true headache. Ok. i have to do this for my arts policy lesson. supposed to link the performance/art/presentation/whatever-you-do to arts and culture, economics, politics or technology in singapore's context. And must combine 2 or more! Omg. Tell me what to do!!

On a lighter note.... IBL was rather relaxing! This week supervisor is back... so more on task and at least i asked what else is there for me to do. :) YEAH! I love this. but sometimes i really dun dare to ask sia. But maybe it will get better. And they are really really nice ppl. At least they didn't disregard me just becos i'm an intern. And they keep joking with ppl ard. how cool. At least the office is not like dead kinda. And I get to join them for the new year lunch privately planned. within the office lah.. everyone enjoyed. And in the end they didn't want the students to pay so much. so i have a very nice and free lunch. :))) And also gave me like 2 school shirts... thou outdated but still cool! Hee. And that's like end of week 3. Glad to hear that they want me to design another 2 posters!! :)

Today (fri) was quite all right... just did some work (thesis draft) and tv. and slept most of the time. So tired that i let my phone snooze for like god-knows-how-long. But i think REALLY long. haha! Every 5min for at least one and half hours before i turn it off and continue sleeping. how great! And then meet some syco peeps for dinner at TM and went to jiawei's house for mj. Yeah!! I won some money! hee. Almost the sole winner. 1 table play money.. the other table play for fun. haha. Happy cos i seldom win when i really gamble. hee. Left like slightly before 11.30pm. came home and send the draft. task done! :)

Tmr Or rather... Later! my cousin (Wanzhen jiejie) will be holding her wedding banquet! :) Immediate cousin that is... Finally another cousin got married. They actually lived in England lah. come back for this wedding lunch only... She's a gynae and i think her husband also doctor lah. must be freaking rich. Finally my 4th uncle has his 2 daughters married.. the first family who has children married. they are like the 2nd and 3rd eldest in the lim side... (my da-jie's the eldest, and not married yet). Oh. Wanzhen-jie is the elder of the 2. Really pretty and smart. Both of them are smart. (if only i know why the rest of them family are like so far behind them). Oh wells. Have to go sleep le anyway.. nights! :))

CNY 2009 part 2

I haven't update for a week again. hee. BUSY!!!! i mean seriously...

At work plus school for the 3 days following the CNY PH. Where got time? Then still have to go for new year visiting the weekends. chiong-ed to my san-yi's house on fri after school lor. then sat go to uncle's house and to horng's house at night. Wii-ed and murderer-ed. We stayed till like 2am. haha. Cabbed home with dj, via and sushi... at least i get my fair share of sleep before going out the next day...

Uncle Yeo's place on sun. i were there for like about 10h!!! omg. Lunch-ed, Wii-ed a bit. but not many kids around. so nv play much. then mahjong-ed with mum and friends. haha. Play small small... but quite fun. Lost money. -.- Mostly dad's money. lol. But i help him win during blackjack wor. Blackjack for his last round as banker. good returns. hee. By the time we finished 2nd 东南西北, it's like 8+ liao. =x Everyone already had their dinner. haha! so eat eat.. talk talk a while. We came back in uncle yeo's new Lexus. omg. cool car.

Ytd was a good day. Get to nap in the afternoon. (that's after i finish the 25 random things in fb) HEE! Went to nus cfa in the morning to talk to mr lum. nice person to talk to.. :) Helpful too. And went to swim in the evening... good workout. cny eat too much le. lol!

Time to get back to work. It's work in school later again. today half-day so can sleep till later. :) BYE!

CNY 2009 part 1

After 2 full days... i dun really have much energy left... and tmr is work day!!! haix. A bit anticipate... a bit dun feel like going... hahaha! But i'm not that type of person who excuse myself from work cos of reasons like this lah. :)

Anyways... CNY was rather nice... i think i was especially tired this year cos of all the hectic 'exercises' on first day... Wii is really the best entertainment ard... and fits ppl of all ages... i guarantee... haha. It was Wii at my place the whole time the relatives were here. lol.

Morning batch of ppl from mother side are more sporty and enthu and noisy... almost everyone joined in the fun and make a lot of noise... more crazy i would say.. they were joking that we should all stay here to continue the fun instead of going around. but we still moved on lah... just that everyone's a bit tired. haha!

Then night was father side... it's just the 'children' playing... as in ppl of my generation... the uncles and aunts only looked and laughed and commented. haha. At least it's better than what as they deemed as the most horrible activity.. i.e. karaoke. Actually it's not the activity that is horrible.. it's just the ppl who wants to and likes to sing but can't sing well.. So might as well give our ears some rest for this year.. This includes the morning shift as well... =x But after quite a no. of ppl left... 2 uncles decided to give Wii tennis a try.. not bad attempt i would say.. Really bridges the gap of all ages. cool. :)

The best thing is.. after they left.. i was gian-ed of Wii... and i continued playing on my own... and i played till 2am. plus online a while... i actually slept around 3am. But i woke up at 10+ this morning leh.. still VERY tired. in fact i already feel like sleeping at 9pm. I can really tahan.. Will sleep after this post man.

Today is more of usual routine.. so nothing much really... just that i am plain tired after a whole day out... Yea.. luckily i posted abt my first week of IBL already. if not there wun be anymore post on that. cos i dun think i have the time to do it anyway. haha. More IBL, more school, and more visiting!!

CNY. here i come. :)

A rather taxing week for me... Lotsa things to do and to attend also.. And i forsee even busier weeks!!! or even... months! haix

SYCO orientation was as usual... HAHA! But at least we have some stuff to joke about. lol. =x And unfortunately... i was part of the joke too... thou not too much. -.- How can?!?! So 没礼貌.. tsktsk...

And tues was also first day of IBL in school's division of student services. The ppl there are really nice! Friendly and easy-going. :) But since it was a half-day.. i didn't do much also... Anyway... pantry drinks not bad... hahaha! =P And ppl in the other depts are nice too! Shared the same office cos DSS only has 3 full-times... and i'm the only intern in that office. :)

Wed was work again... not bad an experience... sat at the counter to use the mac desktop cos mine wasn't ready yet... so attend to all those enquiries too... And seriously... sometimes will really meet some very interesting students... Learnt a lot really..

After work went to meet joyce, hweeming and sis at tamp. hweeming went all the way to tamp to buy DS lite!! lol!! such an addict. hehe. Met joyce at bugis and we went down tgt. dinnered and shopped a while... and sis finally got a pair of shoes.. in that a-lot-of-ppl C&K. super flooded with ppl but service still quite good leh...

Thurs work again... they have cny celebration... and catered food for the staff wor... surprised that they will ask me to go too... cos i was only there for like not even 3 days. haha! but anyways i felt quite awkward -.-''' So i tried to stick to ppl in my dept/office. =P Meet thesis supervisor and had lesson at night... VERY shag.

And yet... fri was a day out. meet up with von again cos she said she got stuff to pass me.. it turns out to be my doraemon comics!!! omg... i totally forgotten about them already. she borrowed it when we were still in jc. i wondered if she still got any with her. lol. anyway.. accompanied her to french medicure, and shop for clothes too. and mission completed! Like finally. lol.

And had to go to school again! A bit sian but the course is quite good actually... get to discuss and hear other ppl's opinion. But there's really very few ppl who attended. what's with the rest of the ppl? i dunno. afterall it's a free course.. and we should be glad to be able to attend it.. so yea. i decided to attend the last session next week. (although at first i was still comtemplating whether to go or not..)

Actually now i also very tired... going to sleep soon... helped to clear some stuff today... i think i just gotta be decisive and throw away more things during normal days... hahaha! room and study room much neater... still have to give my dad the credit for it ba... Finally it's going to be cny. A few days to enjoy... but also a few days to worry. After that it will be 3 full days! I think i'm going crazy already. assignments, presentations, thesis, ibl. And next month. it's all these plus work and syco. I'm crazy to get myself so many things to do... i think mum will think i'm crazy too... but maybe i'll try it out first... might be more effective for my assignments since i only have so little time left. We'll see. :)

Anyways... Happy CNY everyone!! :))) Get more ang pows and eat more goodies. HEE! (anyway... the bak kwa which i queued for the other day is really quite good! Nice. :) Luckily. haha) So happy i got everything ready. haha! First time dun need to worry and dun need to get anything else on the eve. except for ice cream. Haha! Nitex!

Crazy for Bak Gua

The weekend was rather well-spent.. while today... is a total crap. haha.
If you think this is the craziest thing i've done... Today i broke the record...

I waited stood under the hot sun for 5 freaking hours to get this.... RAHH!!!

Too bad i didn't have wireless there.. if not i would have blogged on the spot.. to complain. lol! It's at Kembagan... just opp. the Shell petrol station. Apparently a lot of ppl goes there. And i'm one of them.. under my sis' order.

As if the wait isn't bad enough... there's a uncle behind ranting and ranting over the same thing... It's already annoying enough to be standing under the hot sun the whole time... somemore he repeat the SAME thing! i mean... at least like say different issues still fine. I nearly rolled my eyes. Like everyone's the same... he's not the only one who is waiting so long. but poor him lah... cos he went to buy on his boss' behalf... And he's only a pack for himself since he's there already... So will be more pek chek lah... But still. chill..~ Oh... Anyway.. I was there from 2pm till 7pm. The problem is... The queue wasn't exactly VERY long.. But some ppl bought super alot.. like free ones... and the ppl inside did their job quite slowly too.. so who to blame? So in order not to feel wasted... i bought slightly more than the original plan... since still got money left. Maybe that's what the other ppl think also.. But like what... $570 on bak gua?? I believe that's not the most... just the most i heard when i finally set my foot in the shop. that took me like 4.5h. -.-''' And i haven't tried it yet... wait till i do so... i will tell u if it's worth the queuing.. Anyway... there's still a lot of ppl queuing behind when i left..

Ahh... talking abt uncle ranting... Ytd i was waiting for bus to go orchard from opp. nafa... and there's this uncle who came and started telling everyone (loudly) to vote for the opposition for the next election.. he goes like ‘你一定要投反对党，千万不可以投人民行动党’.. (i'm just quoting what he said) Reason being he's in workers' party or something like that... and he applied to marry a china girl but he was rejected due to the above reason. and say that he has to run for election in order to get the application granted. and blah blah blah... he continues to repeat the same thing over and over again!! I was quite irritated actually. Cos it's YOUR business if you want to be in the opposition party. But what rights do you have to ORDER ppl to vote for whichever party? Then the other uncle who walked past was rather funny.. he said '分钱比较重要'... Which i thought could be quite true too... esp. in this recession time... :) Then i suddenly realise that i'm eligible to vote already! HAHA!

Anyway ytd was spent at uncle's house for lunch... and Hereen's nydc for dinner... plus rochor tau huay after that... Took quite a no. of pictures ba... cos some ppl are bored during dinner... and just keep snapping away.... with a few of my unglam photos -.- But i'm not scared of them!!! Haha! bleahs! Update more when i get the photos... :)

Updating my details, some jia-pa-lang stuff

I realised i haven't updated my details for 2 years!!! haha. It still says i'm in Level 1 and i'm 19. lol!!! And i tried to update my wishlist too... but i can't think of anything else!!! Maybe i'm too fortunate... i seem to have everything i need... just that there are things that i want. Hais. But will man ever be satisfied with what they have? NO! But really... I thought for so long... but couldn't get anyone out at the moment. It's like more of the things i want to do.. not have. Ok lah... i'm 知足 kinda person so i'm already very happy with what i have now... goes to explain the very short and some-very-outdated items still not cleared yet plus a few put-for-fun items. hee.

Glad that i've taken a step out to start my thesis stuff again... and i now have a more decent draft of the survey qns. I hope i still have time for it... And happy to know that i will be starting my IBL next week! Though it wasn't my ideal IBL place... but i'm happy with the arrangement and the schedule i'm given. But it also means i dun have any income for the coming month(s). Whether i will put myself back into the slots or not really depend on my ability to cope with all the things happening.

Plus i have to go SYCO prac. LOL! i think i die liao. And guess what. I think i'm destined to go syco lor... haha!!! Let me say the whole story again... Initially I can't join cos got Research Methods and IBL class on wed night... Then first day of class.. we were told there shouldn't be any RM slots cos we are supposed to meet our thesis supervisor on our own. And IBL class is like cancelled due to the feedback from my whole class. So.. My wed became free and i can go for sect prac = I can join sy!! Then dunno why this year the orientation decided to be on tues... and I have lesson on tues too. But guess what! My lecturer told us today that he got something on next week so class will be postponed = I can go for sy orientation too! HAHAHA!! What a joy. seeing the friends again!!! :)))

Yup. So actually that's all at the moment. I'm hungry due to only eating 1 curry'o from old chang kee and a cup of bubble tea for dinner. and 2 really small slices of kuah lapis and 1 small pineapple tart when i got back. I should sleep.

Shan't say anything about school... But anyways... i really hope i can survive this sem... It's really going to be a tough one... And i have to get at least a 2nd upper!!! MUST! If not will be super sian-ed.. But in order to achieve that.. i have to start working hard too!! I've made a step to arrange meet up with my supervisor.. and so it means i really got to work it out. if not meet also no use... and i think i shouldn't drag this further. :) A good start to think this way... but i've got to action! And that will be tmr. HEE.

Anyway... the rest of the things. hopefully can be smooth too... and hope will be able to meet more friends too! hahaha. :)))

That's all.. i'm tired. haven't been sleeping early for the past few days... and no afternoon nap today! =x Somemore er-jie gone to batam for the weekend... so no one left to talk at this hour... might as well just go sleep and see if i can wake up to exercise early in the morning! lol! nitex

Official entry of 2009

Ok.. someone complain i nv update! But seriously leh... too many things to update... too little time and motivation to do so. Hee.

It's already like 5 days into the new year and frankly speaking... All these years I nv really feel anything special abt going into a new year. And this year is very much the same. But i do hope that things will be better this year. For myself, for my family, for my friends, for ppl ard me, for the world. There are still beautiful things around and we should not be dejected by little things (although some could be big).

Yes. I admit that i'm really afraid of what i will be facing when the year starts. I'm not prepared for it at all. I meant my school stuff. But well. 丑媳妇终究是要见家婆的... so i should really 收拾好心情 and face all these challenges. And now i very much believe that when i've gone through all these shit... I would have grown a lot. And at the end of the day.. I still have to depend on myself... I have to be diligent and fight for what i want. I hope everything will work out well.

On a lighter note... I've been through a bit of fun this year already although today is only the 5th day of the year. The weekend was fantastic. Spent the weekends enjoying myself totally. :) Sat was kbox and dinner with the jc clique... it's one of the most 另类 friends i have.. haha! And one of the very few ppl whom do not have anything to do with CO! I really have very few non-CO friends left. haha. and we talked about the funniest things happening to each other. haha.

And sunday was with MCO huqin ppl after my lunch with family. Though it was kinda raining on my way there.. it didn't really come across to me that 'i dun want to go anymore'. Becos i know that those who are there waiting are my friends. I think most ppl did not expect that i would go at first. right? And it's really an afternoon of fun and laughter at ECP. And i think everyone didn't really wanted to leave but kinda no choice too. (they lived too far) haha. Finally i can say that to the mco ppl. lol. More of such outings are appreciated. HEE.

Lunch was good. Dim sum with family at Imperial Treasure at Airport. Food is really nice. But a bit more ex than east ocean. but i think the bill didn't end up very high ba... haha. thanks da-jie for the treat.. she got bonus mah... =P And after ECP met sylvia to shop a while at parkway before meeting yushi for prata... we seriously ordered quite big portion of food ytd. lol! Anyway managed to buy 2 pair of shoes... so yeah... shoe shopping done! :) Now left with clothes.

Anyway.. school starts tmr. No mood =.=

Last day of 2008 and First day of 2009

Finally woke up after sleeping for almost the whole day.. lol. Came back from joel's place abt 11am... (i'm glad i came back in a piece) attempted to sleep but was still feeling quite bad... and family ppl keep coming to disturb me.. no appetite for lunch... but they forced me to wake up and eat.. only ate a little although the food looks nice... went back to sleep on my own bed so that they will not be walking in and out... YEA.. finally. i dedicated the whole afternoon to sleep. only woke up at dinner time. :) Felt better after that!

So the qns is... what time will i sleep tonight? HAHA! Actually i think i'm still quite tired... i think also becos of the monthly affair... it's very late this month so it's not a very nice feeling. argh. Nv used to have this kinda problem.. I think it's the effect of both... wth.

Actually i was totally lazy to blog... partly cos i piled up too many things to blog abt... makes me dunno where to start... then partly i'm lazy as usual... and partly becos of this...


HAHA! Busy trying to level up with the very little time i have at home recently... too bad i can't play it on my phone... hahaha.

Ok.. I'll update a little... SYCO chalet shouldn't be much said anymore... cos everybody already knows Joel's throw face story.. and there's no other news worthy story anymore.. hahaha! Joel aren't u honoured to hear this? You are the limelight! lol.

Christmas Eve was a short (quite) gathering for the jc close friends. William was very nice to invite us over for lunch... And cool.. he got the machine for karaoke at home! My house should get one too... if not all the sound system we already have is going to be a waste soon.. haha. Lunch was cooked by william i think.. Nice and healthy. Yeah! Mahjong-ed a while.. luckily we weren't really gambling.. cos i lost all the rounds... until the last game. -.-

Christmas was even more fun-filled. Twilight-ed with sis at tamp after lunch... My very very blur sister... actually booked tickets for the wrong day... and we didn't realise until a few days later. -.- So when we reached there.. the first thing i noticed was the timing was wrong... it was 1.30pm instead of the 1.40pm she said.. then we went to the collection counter and the lady said there's no record under her ic no. and credit card... so we on the buy the tickets and went in to watch as normal lor... in the end she was checking her email and still claimed that she bought the tickets... And know what.. she booked the tickets for 24th dec! double dotx. HAHA! if it's later still ok right.. at least can go watch.. but past already leh! Means we spent like 30bucks to watch the show. -.- Not worthed. haha!

Then went to daijing's chalet... We were actually quite late... and jan was the first one to reach... haha! that funny girl didn't even rmb our classmate's name -.- And still ask us to guess her name... i was like.. i know her name (doreen) leh.. why need to guess? LOL. Slacked in the room enjoying the aircon while waiting for the rest to come and mean time complete the cards for the 2 girls. Yeah.. cool wor.. but in the end both were a bit crumbled by dj's cousin while they were playing in the room later on. But our fault too.. should have kept it away earlier.

Mini celebration for weiling... with cake and present. Happy she like the pressie wor... she knows what we gonna get for her liao lah... it's what she wants... but dunno what design mah... :) Sing bday song and yada yada before dinner... Food was nice.. her relatives good at bbq-ing wor! hahaha! Cake from royals (for ling) was nice too... we finished the 1kg cake shortly after dinner. lol. chocolate lovers are all around.. lol!

Then up to the room for pressie exchange.. oops... I haven't upload the pictures yet... Ok.. this will come in a later post. =x

Sing bday song and yada yada for daijing after that... cool. she got 2 cakes. one was fresh fruit cake.. and the other was durian cake with santa face as the design... nice design but i just can't make myself eat the cake.. hahaha! Anyways... took quite a no. of pictures with the rest ba... hahaha... with the other sacians who went too... cool. :)

Feel that it's kinda different this year cos of the 21st bday... for at least the past 3 years.. christmas was.. at my humble home... really humble cos my table can't even accommodate all of us... can but very tight lah.. haha! But i'm really glad they nv 嫌弃 my house even thou it looks the same every year and our photos always have the same background. afterall there aren't much space in my house for everyone to stand tgt and take a picture. lol! And this year is more relax!! Cos we dun need to worry for food... for space or for anything else. :) and i dun need to clean up before and after the celebration. HAHA! =P

Anyway.. didn't stay over nor stay late... cos next day was another long day... and thus it should be in another post... So that's all for the moment! =P

SYCO Fun!

Had a wonderful weekend. Er.. Minus off some of the practice time.. Haha!

But anyways.. Chalet was fun. :) becos of the gossips for the first night and the games and laughter on the 2nd. But 2nd day was quite a lazing-around day.. Cos other than eating and sleeping.. Nothing much was done. Haha. Some went wild wild wet while i went lunch with zhiwen, dean, yanru, jiawei and xiangle. Went back chalet after that.. Finally the 3 sleep kings and queen woke up.. So it's finally time to sleep again!! Lol. It was really until night time then all gathered again go the chalet for some games.. First was poker. Which i'm not too rich to join in. Lol!! Then the drinking game which ended with a lot of funny stuff till today. Thanks to joel!! Haha.

Ok.. Will update again soon.. Will have a busy christmas anyways. Hee.

Things dun always go the correct way.. Why is it so? Hopefully all can be resolved and we can all enjoy yea. Dun worry... I'm not blaming u... More imptly have to solve the problem. :)

Hi!!! I'm happy today cos i got my new toy!!! HAHAHA! Nokia E66. Thanks to my phone... eh.. died on me on my day out with the royal family... and let me have the chance to get new phone! HEE!

Hmm.. other than that.. happy things lately includes getting tix for JJ's world tour concert 2009 and CATS! :))) Ok... I paid for the concert myself... but the CATS.. sis bought the tix. =P Next tix to get will be 天冷就回来!! That will be somewhere in jan.. YEAH! And of cos.. some SCO concert tix.. some interesting concert themes are coming back! Haha.

Anyway.. work was shag for the past 2 days... TOTALLY! Ytd i left work at 9.30pm and today at 9pm. Sian-ed. And really tiring... esp. ytd cos i didn't even have the chance to go out and get my lunch/dinner even when we have 3 ppl working... until end of work.. sighx. hopefully wun happen again.

And today.. only 2 person most of the time. Even more sian-ed.. but maybe it's a good thing too. =x Auntie on mc... my in-charge msg-ed me this morning and ask me go in earlier... i was a bit mean to ignore it at first... in the end i only went in 30min earlier... but then again.. the most i could was an hour... cos she 9.30 then msg me! auntie best... always got stunt... but well.. she should take care of her health too lah..

Then met yushi for movie... watched BOLT.. quite a last min decision.. cos we ganna pangseh-ed by 2 ppl who went to watch on their own already... so we just go watch lor... And i missed a little of the front part.. cos i was held up by the customer until 9pm! HELLO!! We close at 8pm can! They super buay zi dong one lor.. when she called at 7.20pm i already said we close at 8 and she still got the cheek to say she will come down with her husband now leh! Reached at 8pm... then choose for SOOOOO long... and nv have a conclusion... Er.. and i really can't wait already.. i had to leave... and they were still there. I wondered what was the result... and poor supervisor had to stay to serve them... tsk. Pls lor.. we are NOT obliged to wait for you to come ok.. TSK! So in the end i only left the shop like 8.55pm when the movie timing is 8.50pm! And i have to go all the way from Shaw to Cine. Cool! I half-walk-half-run there in like 10min or so... Cool too! Thanks to them.

But anyway.. whatever it is huh... i today suddenly feel very sad being in the service industry... i think cos i thought abt ytd i couldn't have my break.. and today even when i was having lunch at 3pm.. i wasn't able to have a quiet lunch... And after all these.. we still get very unhappy customers... I tried VERY hard not to roll my eyes when i pick up the phone... Afterall we are talking abt professionalism here... So I guess i could only say that there's no such thing as 'fair' in the world. isn't it? And i truly felt very unhappy. but ok.. I'm fine.

Proud of my friends!

Went to watch a few competitions this year... to support some friends and some just go lor... But in the end i missed all the finals which are supposed to be more exciting and nicer too... The only finals i went was erhu youth.. and i didn't stay inside throughout the whole thing... Reason was i fell sick somehow... and i can't control my coughs... So i'd rather stay away and not distract the participants... Somemore it feels super terrible to try to control them too...


This year.. can say all the Open Cat are very competitive... So many good players and so little chances... i think after all erhu is still the most competitive instru? Increasing of players every NAC. Like super terrible... and when i watched the preliminary round for the youth one... i was really feeling unwell... and 10 江南春色 already almost killed me.. haha!

Anyways... Congrats to my friends who have gotten themselves prizes and money.. haha! I'm proud of you all!! To those who didn't... I'm sure there will be a tit bit of disappointment cos after all i believed everyone put in a lot of effort for this competition... give yourself a pat on your back and say u've already done your best... You all are good players.. dun doubt yourself! :) 还有很长的路要走呢！And I'm proud of u all too... Cos i never had the courage to join competition ever since my first try 'n' years ago.. haha!

Weekend with Family

Thanks for the reminder.. i really haven't updated for like a week.. and there's really a lot to share!!! =x

Attended Haizhen 姑姑's wedding on 6th dec. at CONRAD Hotel.. She's my dad's cousin.. also a Lim.

Food is really good... The very nice shark fin... normally i dun really like eating shark's fin... but this one is really good. Erm.. the rest of the dishes.. got no time to take picture of them lah.. busy eating mah.. hahaha! =x

The cousins... some are not around anyways... and the most left lady is our aunt (姑姑）.. and the little boy on Dax's lap is one of the aunt's son... Eh.. hard to explain. hahaha!! But whatever it is... we had a rather good time... :)

The next day was another round of family gathering... Now the mother side... it was 姑婆 and 姑丈's celebration for their 70th birthday.

The adults.. ok.. mostly are adults...

Food wasn't the most comforting thing there... but with the cousins around... the lunch was enjoyable no matter how. haha! And i seriously think we were the noisiest table around... cheering and clapping whenever we have spare time and hands.. Ok.. my idea to keep the atmosphere up during the karaoke session... cannot 冷场 mah... so must clap during the rest melody lor.. HEE.

And my fav cousin.. haha!! Jiaqi.. proud or not? =P

Publicising Concerts! :)

It's going to be a tiring day.. 45 times of 江南春色... But dun think i will be listen to all.... Poor judges. =x

I should go and sleep soon so that i wun fall asleep later.. HAHA! ZHIWEN!!! GOOD LUCK!!! :))) Actually i dun think she will see this cos it will be too early.. haha! But i heard zixin got in.. So Congrats!! :)) Have to go support her yea!

Anyway.. before i forget again... Have to advertise a bit lah.. NYCO performing for Beautiful Sunday on 14th Dec. 3pm at Esplanade Concert Hall. (Free Admission) Although it's only 1 song... but i'm sure it will be cool! Cos the alumus are performing too! Yeah! lol.

Then 2nd one... MCO (Marsiling Chinese Orchestra) having our concert on 26 Dec 2008. Songs include 茉莉花 (our gold song from genting competition), 龙的传奇, 打鬼, Super Mario, Abba Time, Barbie girl (cello and bass ensemble), 驼铃向叮当 (gold song too), To Zarnarkand. (eh.. can't rmb how to spell.. dunno correct or not). There are other songs lah... but these are the ones i think super attractive. Hee. But anyways.. i thought the songs are quite interesting too! And the tickets are at $15 and $25.. Can order from me or any MCO members. Support us! GOH will be President Nathan. (Although that is not the main point... but most ppl are making this a selling point too... so i shall mention it) =P So! COME LAH! :)

Weekends whole day out!

Been a rather busy but enjoyable weekend... And ironically, i thought work was much more enjoyable. haha!

It was the usual prac on sat... this week with charmaine instead... we really like taking turns huh... Prac wasn't really bad... but not the best too... I felt that we are not as prepared as we were for the concert 2 years ago... and i can't really figure out what's the problem.. it could be that they started planning much later this time... and i rmb we really had many long saturdays for the last concert... whereas this time practice time is really precious to the whole orchestra. But... i will do my best de lah... somemore this time got 2 gaohu less! like dotx...

Then took laoshi's car down to SCH. Finally i'm not late for the concert... but anyway.. the concert wasn't really up to what i expected.. or rather.. we expected... didn't really understand the wayang song... For 红楼梦... i was only attracted to the first and last song they played... -.- but i really like zhao laoshi's playing... Like no matter under what condition he can always produce the finest sound from his erhu... at least that's what i hear till now... But butterfly lover wasn't as great as i thought it would be... sians... first part already keep speeding... then fast part also speed... Plus i was already super tired... i didn't really have the energy to listen to everything.. haha! Anyway i didn't really like her violin sound... it's VERY soft even thou i'm sitting like super in front.. the sound is only bright when she plays the high notes... at first position... all very soft and kinda muffled. She played encore also! And it's like super obvious the soloist and the orchestra wasn't tgt. DOTX. But still went for the autograph after that.. but could see that most people can't be bothered. -.-

Sunday was work lor... stayed a bit later to finish up some work... then went over to vivo to find yushi... thinking that she can go off at 10pm.. then we can go eat.. in the end.. waited for them to finish packing up everything! And by the time we reached 85 market... it was almost 1am!!! And i was hungry like dunno what already. haha. But the process was quite fun.
